Notes:

Huhu!
Started this a few months ago and finished it over the past two days. This story is very much written in a usual style of mine, that I don't think I have used for any hermit fics so far.

Chapter 1: Perfection

Chapter Text

Perfection

Xisuma

He needed to be perfect. The perfect son. Golden child. No room for mistakes or missteps. Everything needed to be neat and in order. No failures.

He needed to be perfect. Patient child. Don’t bother your caretakers. Be glad they took you in. Be patient and tell no lie.

But tell no truth either.

He needed to be perfect. Oh the child, an admin. He would be shown off. A pretty artefact for people to gauge at. Be perfect, little one or consequences will come your way.

Tidy yourself up. Mother wants to show you off to her friends. A voidwalker, tamed. The perfect son, perfect little admin. Be silent, be good, make your mother proud.

He needed to be perfect. Your past is irrelevant, child. Now go and help, mother. She needs your help. You are an admin. Don’t cry, you aren’t at your limit yet.

He needed to be perfect. No need for friends, mother is there for you. Be grateful that she helps you. What did you ever do to deserve her help?

He needed to be perfect. Your past is irrelevant, child. Don’t ask questions. You are a Voidwalker. Freaks like you get sold to the black market. Don’t cry, you aren’t at your limit yet.

Don’t show mother the letters. They are counting on you. Mother will kill you.

Mother found the letters. Mother is angry.

He needed to be perfect. Don’t eat food. You made your mother angry. Reflect on your actions. Don’t eat food. You made a mistake. Mother knows best.

He needed to be perfect. Be strong. Work out. Don’t look at your bones. Be a player. Be strong. Good children eat their meals.

He needed to be perfect. Don’t cry. Stop crying. Mother is punishing you for your actions.

He doesn’t know what he did. And it hurts. It hurts.

He needed to be perfect. Normal children don’t need help breathing. Freak, don’t you know that your helmet scares people. Go without it. Mother knows best.

He needed to be perfect. The perfect son. Golden child. No room for mistakes or missteps. Everything needed to be neat and in order. No failures.

Don’t be impure. You are good.

And most importantly don’t talk about them.
