The sea is not a very forgiving place, but if there's nothing left for you on land, it's better than, well, nothing. That's what Red keeps telling himself, him being the lowest deckhand on the ship. Ever since he was 15 and sickness took his mom, he's been working from ship to ship in search of something to fill the hole that was left, whether it be with adventure or treasure. He was disappointed to find few and far between both of these things, finding himself still cleaning up after wild pirates and peeling potatoes at the age of 20 instead. Five whole years at sea, and he still hasn’t found what he’s looking for.
