Resistance Ranger Rosie Thorne, after a devastating mission-gone-wrong a year prior, tries to redeem herself by taking on the infamous Chainsaw Consultant and his logging company. Only a toon with nothing to lose could come up with a plan as brilliant and cog-like as hers: she's going to find a way to take advantage of his override, because if the Resistance could get ahold of technology like that, or even control a suit like him, then maybe they could turn the tide in this war.
The only problem? It's no easy task getting close to a suit like that, and the closer she gets to Chip, the more the line between her mission and her time spent with him begins to blur.

Due to a recent, temporary, truce neither group can hurt the other so instead the two groups descend into a prank war. As the days, and the pranks wage on however things begin to get more and more chaotic, right up until cogs and toons alike start disappearing outright. Will the two groups be able to put their differences and pranks aside? Or will they all vanish under these mysterious circumstances.
