Jeongin and Chan have been dating for a year now. The two met through their friends during one outing. It wasn't love at first sight, however, soon enough they did become fond of each other.
They lived together in a small apartment Chan owned. The older one already having a career as an aspiring producer while the other was still in med school.
They were in a very happy and loving relationship despite Chan's horrible pick up lines which could in fact destroy a relationship.
Don't get me wrong Chan knew how to flirt and his flirting game was good, after all he did get Jeongin to be his boyfriend. He just really enjoyed teasing Jeongin. Jeongin always had big reactions to those cheesy pick up lines. Jeongin found them gross and cringed every time, he started wondering if there are good pick up lines at all or were they all overly cheesy and embarrassing to hear. So he made a little dare.
"I dare you to find me good pick up lines," said Jeongin after another awful Chan pick up line.
"A good pick up line?"
"Yeah, you keep saying horrible pick up lines to me, like are all of the pick up lines like that? Are there no good ones at all?"
"But hey some I have told you are not that bad!"
"Not good either."
"Alright next time I'll sweep you off your feet with how good it will be!"
And so Jeongin grading Chan's pick up lines could start.
Pick up line number 1
The first one happened when Jeongin was making coffee before his morning class. God knows he hates morning classes. With him still barely awake and Chan who was just now about to sleep, nothing good really could come out of that.
"Hey beautiful," said Chan leaning his bare back against the kitchen counter and seductively looking into Jeongin's half open eyes. If this was a year ago Jeongin would have been extremely flustered, but seeing a beautifully messed hair Chan without his shirt was an everyday occurrence, him actually wearing clothes was more rare. And that look he had, didn't promise anything good, Jeongin could see right through it.
"There is something wrong with my cell phone. It doesn't have your number in it," Chan said with a wink but Jeongin's facial expressions didn't change a bit.
"It's too early for this," he said and was about to leave the kitchen before Chan stopped him.
"But it was a pretty good one!" Chan argued.
"Babe, my love, the light of my life, you have had my phone number for two years now," Jeongin said, exaggerating and cupping Chan's face with the hand that was not holding his cup of coffee.
"Okay but if I didn't, it's not too bad is it?" Jeongin thought for a bit before replying.
"4 out of 10, kind of smooth I suppose."
"Hey that's not too bad, I have room for growth!"
Pick up line number 2
Jeongin and Chan were having a movie night. Chan somehow persuaded Jeongin to watch the Transformers movie. What wouldn't you do for love, am I right?
Jeongin, however, soon regretted his decision.
They were in the middle of the movie when Chan leaned down and whispered in his ear: "If you were a Transformer… you’d be Optimus Fine.'
Jeongin turned to him with his infamous "I'm so fucking done with you" face.
"Wasn't putting me through this movie enough?"
"It's a great movie and the pick up line fits!"
"2 out of 10, never do this again," and without a further explanation, Jeongin chugged his can of beer.
Pick up line number 3
They were getting ready for a date. They haven't been out for a while so both of them decided that going to a restaurant would be nice.
Chan was ready and was in the living room waiting for Jeongin to come out of their bedroom.
Even though they have already gone on several dates, he still wanted to look good each time, he liked dressing up and choosing outfits.
When he came out of the room Chan softly smiled, admiring his pretty boyfriend. Jeongin was about to go give him a peck, but of course, Chan had to say a pick up line.
"I was blinded by your beauty. I’m going to need your name and phone number for insurance purposes."
Jeongin rolled his eyes at his boyfriend's antics.
"It was creative. I'll give you that, 6 out of 10, now let's go." Chan raised his arm in victory and quickly followed his boyfriend.
Pick up line number 4.
Chan and Jeongin decided to go for a walk to get some fresh air and relax their poor brains that have been working nonstop.
Tired brains often did not have the best ideas, Jeongin came to learn that day.
The day was sunny and warm, both of them enjoyed the sunbeams warming up their bodies.
They could hear birds chirping and it truly felt like spring had finally come.
And Jeongin loved spring. It wasn't too hot, but it wasn't cold either. The perfect temperature to wear cute outfits.
While they were walking Chan somehow tripped and fell.
"Are you alright?" Jeongin asked, concerned for the boy now sitting on asphalt with a bruised knee.
"Yeah, just a little scratch, nothing to worry about," he reassured Jeongin.
"How did you even fall?" Jeongin really had no idea how Chan managed to fall on an equal footing.
"Love, isn't it obvious? I fell for you!" Chan exclaimed and Jeongin immediately stood up and left his boyfriend sitting there.
Pick up line number 5.
Chan loved stars and astronomy, he always told Jeongin fun facts about it. And each time they were stargazing Chan would show Jeongin constellations and tell him star names.
They were laying on a blanket and looking at the starry night sky. They were close to each other, holding hands. It was so calm, Jeongin loved when the two of them went stargazing.
Chan always talked with such enthusiasm, it was great listening to Chan talk about what he loves. It made Jeongin realize how much love he holds for the other.
"Innie? Wanna hear another fact?" Jeongin moved his head to look at Chan. He was met with Chan already looking at him.
"Mhm?"
"All the brightest stars do not compare to the ones in your eyes," Chan said with a soft smile, you could physically feel the love in his voice.
Jeongin widened his eyes at that and felt his cheeks burning up.
"That was great, 10 out of 10 for that one," he said flustered, sometimes Jeongin forgot that Chan was a songwriter.
"Oh? I wasn't even thinking about it like that."
"See! The best pick up lines are when you don't think about it and use it freely!" Chan laughed at that.
"So you liked it?" He asked, moving hair strands to be able to look directly into Jeongin's eyes. Jeongin felt goosebumps around his body at the touch.
"Yeah," he said breathlessly.
Chan giggled and leaned in to kiss his lover under the stars.

Chan was getting ready for a job interview, for a big company he has been dreaming about. And obviously, he was very nervous. He couldn't choose which socks to wear for fifteen minutes, both pairs were black.
Lucky for him Jeongin was there to choose the rest of the outfit for him.
"Hey it's going to be alright, they'll love you!" Jeongin tried to calm down his boyfriend while buttoning up his shirt. Chan's hands were trembling so he physically couldn't do it himself.
"But what if they don't?"
"Then they don't and you'll find someone better, but listen you don't have to worry about that, your music is fire, you graduated with honors, you'll be fine!" Jeongin reassured Chan and after being done with buttons, he gave a quick kiss to Chan.
"It's going to be alright," Jeongin said while looking into Chan's eyes. Chan nodded and repeated: "It's going to be alright."
Jeongin smiled sweetly before remembering something and his smile changed into a smirk.
"Hey, are you Bang Chan? Because I want to Bang you."
Chan did not expect that as he started giggling and covered his face with his hands. Jeongin still could see his red ears. Chan has turned into a blushing mess and if Jeongin knew that this was the aftermath of using a pick up line, he had started doing it years ago. Because Jeongin loved the sight of flustered Chan.
By the way, Chan was amazing at the interview and got the job.
Apparently I can't count so have this little scene I wrote thinking that I don't have enough 🥲.
It was a lazy Sunday morning. Chan woke up first and admired his boyfriend who was still asleep. He carefully moved strands from Jeongin’s eyes and kissed his temple. That seemed to wake Jeongin up as he slowly opened his eyes.
“Good morning,” Jeongin said with a smile, loving his boyfriend's touches.
“Did the sun come out or did you just smile at me?” Chan said with a big smile.
“Did you just greet me with a pick up line?” Jeongin grumbled while hiding his face in pillows.
“A good pick up line,” Chan corrected him and Jeongin laughed at him.
“Pretty basic, but I guess it’s nice, 6.5 out of 10.”
“I’m getting pretty good at this,” Chan said with a big smile.
“Yeah, yeah, whatever, go make breakfast,” Jeongin said and gave a quick kiss.
“You’re such a brat,” Chan said shaking his head.
“Mhm I want coffee too,” jeongin said while stretching out.
“Yeah, yeah,” Chan uttered as he got out of bed, not before ruffling Jeongin’s hair though.
