“Sir, is everything alright? You didn’t skip out on medbay again, did you?”
Kenobi shakes hir head, opens hir mouth, then hesitates. Ze makes a frustrated face, and a gesture Cody doesn't understand.
“Something wrong with your voice?” Cody guesses, and Kenobi makes another face and a so-so gesture. “Are you sure you don’t need to go to medbay? You could have been exposed to something on the mission–”
In which Obi-Wan is not having a good day, and Cody helps.
This work actually ended up qualifying for a bunch of different options for voiceteam for me.
- I initially recorded this for @Flowerparrish who wished for more podfics with characters using neopronouns
- But then I had an interrupting cat which I decided to make a version where I left Q in for @sunlight who wished for more pets.
- And it also fits so well in with bLeaf team's Transthology where a bunch of us were recording podfics centered around trans folks. All in all, such a fantastic fic and I am just amused at how perfect a time it was to record it!
