After defeating God and settling into their new life, Sam and Dean never expected to run into a pair of retired hunters that had a connection to both their parents - it threw them both for a loop and shook their world up. “You look exactly like your parents. Nice to finally meet the infamous Winchesters,” Latika murmured to the boys.
“We’ve heard a lot about you - you boys have done some good in this world. John and Mary would be so proud of you,” Carlos added.
Sam and Dean couldn’t stop gaping at them. “Did you meet Dad after Mary died?” the latter questioned, curious beyond belief.
Carlos and Latika glanced at each other, shaking their hands. “No, and that’s a long story I’m guessing you’ll want to hear.” Latika clapped her hands together in delight, eager to delve into Mary and John’s history.
“Wait, what?” This wasn’t making any sense to Sam.
“What he said,” chimed in Dean, crossing his arms and urging the other two hunters to sit down.
“Yeah, we definitely need to hear this.” Sam’s curiosity was now getting the best of him and he needed to find out what they knew.
Latika and Carlos both sat down and smiled at them. “When we said it was a long story, we meant it. You’re going to want to buckle in for this - it’s a long, wild ride.”
“But a fun if sometimes devastating one. I’m only sorry we didn’t get to see your mother again when she was resurrected. Would have loved to have met up.” Carlos sighed - life was full of regrets and they’d just have to live with them.
“It all started back in 1972,” Latika began before taking a dramatic pause.
“We’re going way back.” Dean pursed his lips and then waved his hand, urging her to continue.
“Sorry about that - she likes to be overdramatic, which isn’t very helpful right now.” Carlos shot her a fond glare and wrapped her up in his arms for a brief hug, which she returned after an annoyed sigh.
Sam and Dean’s world was about to be rocked. Although Sam was deathly curious about his parents’ apparently untold past, Dean was bound and determined to make sure Mary and John’s real, somewhat epic as hell story was told after hearing about it from Carlos and Latika. He wanted future generations to know the Campbell/Winchester history because it was vastly important, especially after they had saved the world so many fucking times.
