Hello! I'm including this as its own "chapter" to go over a few basics + to have a buffer before jumping right into the fic.
Before we begin, this is not a fic for pro-shippers or Shadow/Maria shippers. Shadow was created partly with Gerald Robotnik's DNA and was raised alongside Maria. Shadow and Maria are siblings. Do not interact with my fic(s) if you ship them romantically. Thank you.
Now, some quick notes:
- The length of each chapter will vary.
- They will not be in chronological order.
- There is no set posting schedule.
- A good portion of this will (obviously) be based on my own headcanons.
- Shadow is born at about five years old. Due to the Black Arms DNA, he ages at an indeterminable/accelerated speed.
- The age difference between Shadow and Maria approximately comes out to Shadow being 5 years old to Maria's 9 years old, 9 to 10, 12 to 11, and 15 to 12.
- Maria's mother Nina is Robotnik's daughter. Nina is Jewish from her mother's side, so there will be mentions of that throughout (primarily Maria referring to Gerald as Zayde).
