Summary
Spring has sprung, and a darkness along with it.
Prince Shadow can only have his kingdom saved for so long. With his people still recovering, his family returning to normal, and his unsureness about his newfound powers simmering underneath it all, there couldn't be a worse time for a new threat to loom. But that's exactly what he and Sonic are warned about, by a mysterious girl who appears to them in an enchanted hand mirror.
The hedgehogs are off on another race across the kingdom, this time with the guidance of their new friend. Magic, music, and mystery abound in their quest to find the one place that will set things right: the Diamond Castle.

Summary
Prince Shadow has been locked away in the royal palace for 50 years and counting, all because his creator King Gerald can't bear to lose another soul after losing his dear Princess Maria. But after an encounter with a commoner girl who speaks of war and an old relative intent on destroying all he holds dear, Shadow discovers that the princess who he'd thought long-gone was actually in exile under a curse.
With allies new and old, Shadow must traverse the darkest woods, the coldest ice caverns, and soar higher than he thought possible all to build the one artifact that can save his family, his friends, and his kingdom: the Wand of Chaos.

Summary
Sonic has known who he is his whole life. He's recited the line "I am Sonic Pendragon, son of Arthur Pendragon, and I pledge to be the next King Arthur" since the day he started talking. But now he'll have to seal it with a signature in the Storybook of Legends, and he's never felt less prepared.
Shadow has no clue who he is. Aside from a gruesome image he'd rather went with the rest of his memories, he can only recall as far back as Rouge taking him into her apartment to care for and help him recover from... whatever happened that led him here. Regardless, the kid needs an education and Rouge can think of only one school that will accept him, freaky flaws and all.
C.A. Cupid couldn't have found a more perfect match if it struck her with an arrow.
