PliantChaos: Another game or gonna just chat again eh
Ivy_46: Yue!! I love ur streams so muchhh!!!
Mei drums her fingers while seeing the timer displaying on her screen. An almost enthusiastic smile danced on her lips when she saw the seconds tick by.
After all, she had been waiting for this stream for a whole week.
It has become her weekly routine now. Watching streams on the internet, to see others do something in front of a camera or on their screen.
But one person had always stood out for her.
The display screen flashes and the timer ticks zero.
A blank screen shows up on her display before it gets taken over by the main menu of a game. An almost inaudible whisper on the other end of the screen.
“Hey guys! Yes it is me, yours truly… uh a lil’ late but surely you can forgive me right?” The jovial voice of a girl ensues shortly after the screen changes. Mei could faintly make out the sound of bells in the background.

“You guys just love to see me suffer don’t you- Don’t even try to deny it!” ‘Yue’ grumbles in her own playful way.
Mei chuckles softly, the teasing and chatter continues without a pause.
She hears the soft clanking of swords and death animations in the background, eyes closed and ears focused on the voice of the streamer.
Mei felt detached from the noise after a while. Thoughts upon thoughts racing in her mind.
She wonders if ‘Yue’ works in an actual company like her. The amount of subscriptions and donations the girl gets in a single day is already a crazy amount, surely she doesn’t need to do work outside of streaming.
But the off chance that she might work in a company made her feel strange. The schedule is always a single stream on the weekend. It means that the girl definitely did something on the weekdays.
“Oh by the way, did you guys see the redemptions I put which you can redeem through the points you gather? I wanted to do something that would make you feel more engaged in the stream! Lemme know if you have something to say about them!”
Mei blinks open her eyes, startled by the announcement in the midst of her thoughts.
‘Redemptions…’ The woman mused to herself, clicking on the small green box.
A vast array of items and gift boxes with random text written came into her view. Ranging from a 1$ gift to a 500$ with different redemptions pasted upon each of them.
There were other redemptions which depended on the amount of time a person had viewed a particular streamer, but they were mostly not that interesting.
“I know that they might be somewhat expensive for a few words or a stupid thing so I just wanna say, it solely depends on you if you wanna spend it here . I’d rather you spend your money somewhere useful and meaningful…” ‘Yue’ warns them with a hushed tone.
Mei scrolls down and down, curiously eyeing each and every gift box.
Her cursor stops on a gift icon, a pretty blue box with a small mic image on it. The cost flashed in a light grey, showing 450$.
Time limit: 1 minute.
Item redemption: Remove audio changer, a small ASMR show(?).
Mei swallowed. Her throat felt dry, not at the amount that was presented to her but rather at the redemption itself.
She always thought what ‘Yue’ would sound like.
Would her voice change? Different from her cutesy tone and adorable actions whether it be in game or while just chatting?
“Alright, that’s that! Now should we start a new game or- Wait huh?”
‘Yue’ lets out a startled sound when a loud sound bursts forth from the redemption store with a blue gift box shining on top of the screen.

Mei chuckles hearing the girl speak gibberish for what seems like a minute.
“Ah! Wait- Okay uh… Thank you for redeeming the gift box, Murasaki hikari …? I don’t know if I am pronouncing it correctly, sorry.” ‘Yue’ huffs softly, trying to calm her thundering heart.
“So the redemption… Alright, wait a minute I’ll just mute for a second and test my mic.”

The last comment seemed to echo Mei’s entire being, she was barely able to stop herself from bouncing up and down in her seat.
“Is this fine…?”
An almost soft like whisper voice rang in her ear. Familiar yet far distant from the normal jovial sound the girl held.
It had mellowed out, aged, slightly deep. A stark contrast to the cheery voice Mei was used to hearing.
‘Yue’ laughed seeing the comments boom in a second. A vast array of ‘Woah’ and ‘real voice’ spammed by the chat.
“Once again I would like to thank Murasak - Uh no… Murasaki Hikari for the redemption. I deeply appreciate your support and I do hope you like this…?” ‘Yue’ chuckles dryly.
Mei moved her hand towards the keyboard, trembling ever so slightly.
MurasakiHikari: Thank you
“Oh no… thank you for the redemption. I know the cost might have been a little high but I really wasn’t expecting anyone to actually redeem it, y’know…”
‘Yue’ sounds concerned, timid, and Mei was stupefied by how different someone could become just by the polarity of a tone.
It certainly makes the raven-head more invested in her than she previously was.
“A-Alright… So now that’s out of the way we can actually start our stream? Gosh look at the time, it's already been thirty minutes…” ‘Yue’ continues awkwardly.
