Summary
Following the death of her friend, work partner, and deputy chief, she was being pushed by the council to hire internally to fill the now vacant position. Unfortunately for her, this meant that she had virtually no say in selecting who would fill the said position. She’d barely even had a chance to properly mourn the death of her friend and co-worker before the council was pushing their way into the police station to dictate the next steps.
