Summary
Ed waited hours at the dock for Stede, only for him to never show up that day. So he moved on, found The Revenge, and reclaimed his title as captain. You know the rest and where we are at. The Kraken has seemingly locked up any emotion he had left and thrown away the only key he had. Until a certain Gentleman Pirate shows up aboard with the rest of the stranded crew one evening, and Ed realizes there is another key.
Stede expected them to dramatically run into each others embrace but instead Ed’s sword ran into Stede. He missed all the important bits though, that’s good.
My own version of season 2, but in a more sad, depressing take.
