Izzy has to fix what he broke. Problem is what he broke was Ed and the only way to fix it is to bring Stede fucking Bonnet back.

Izzy swallows and says nothing. He follows Edward to his cabin, leaning against the shelves and shelves of books as Ed hums to himself while he cleans up. He thumbs through a book, catching a word here and there, most of them are too big for him, until he stumbles on a drawing of Blackbeard. He runs his gloved hand down the page, caressing it, before closing the book with a snap. “May I speak freely, Captain?”
“Of course. You know we share our thoughts on this ship.” Ed puts the wastebasket down and looks at him expectantly.
Izzy straightens to his full height, picking a spot over Ed’s shoulder to focus on so he doesn’t have to look into those open and expressive eyes. Eyes that he thinks he’ll never get used to seeing. “I’m – I’m sorry. For all of this. I never should have sold you out.” He plows on before Ed can say anything. “But I’m going to fix it. I promise, Bla–Edward. I’m going to fix it for you.”
