They were surrounded on all sides, the enemy was closing in fast and they'd already lost Percival! It was an all out war and Arthur wasn't sure if they were going to win or not, but damn it they had to try! Arthur looks around at his men as they fought with everything they had "fall back! We need more snow!" He shouts, watching as Merlin and Morgana finally stop their relentless attack in order to laugh and high five each other before disappearing behind their very well built wall of snow.
They been at it for hours now, yet Arthur still wasn't sure whether Merlin was creating his own snow or just magicking it into existence! He knows for a fact that Mordred has been keeping their own side topped up with snow as often as he could, but Gwaine had still gone in a valiant act of bravery to get more when they'd started running low half an hour ago.
As the Knights take cover behind their own wall of snow to catch their breaths, a plan begins to form. Lancelot and Gwaine would create a base on one side of the other teams base, therefore getting them from one side, Percival, who had only just recovered from a snowball to the chest that sent him flying, would run from one side of the training ground to the other creating a distraction as Leon and Elyan create a base on the opposite side from Lance and Gwaine. Mordred would finally get to use his invisibility spell in order to sneak into the enemy teams Territory and take them by suprise whilst Arthur protected their own base, covering his team mates backs as he provided covering fire for them all.
With everyone understanding the plan and so much snow behind him that Arthur has almost fallen in it several times, the king counts down "go! go! go!" He yells, throwing two snow balls one after the other at an unsuspecting Merlin, who just about jumps out of the way as his team try to figure out what their plans are.
All out war begins again, as Lance and Gwaine begin pelting them from one side, Arthur from the front and Leon and Elyan from the other. Percival is taken out again, though he very dramatically crawls to the nearest base as he's pelted with snowballs until he's very nearly covered in the stuff, flopping down a few inches from Leon's outstretched hand "I can't go on, brothers! Avenge me!" He says before falling face first into the snow, Leon dragging him the rest of the way, laughing so loud he gives their position away.
There's shouts of suprise from behind the other teams wall "cheater!" He hears Morgana yell "Sabotage! Merlin shouts, as they are pelted with snowballs by a now half visible Mordred. It's then Arthur's team get the upper hand as they all rush out from their hiding places, throwing as many snowballs as they can before taking out the wall of snow and using it to take out Gwen, Mithian and Elena.
It isn't long before Merlin and Morgana yield, though they do manage to get some well timed and very well aimed shots in before that happens. They all head back into the castle to change into warm and dry clothes, before piling into Arthur's chambers to have hot cocoa, snuggling under blankets that Merlin had magicked from everyone's room as they tell stories for the rest of the day.
