Chapter 1: Prologue
Summary:
Trying to see if I can go anywhere with this plot-bunny that started nibbling on me when I got back into Genshin Impact.
(Also, I started over on the Asia server under the name Sharath for Aether. At this time, I only have Aether, Amber, Kayea, Noelle and Xianling.)
Notes:
EDIT 6-14-2022: Changed Harry's name from Sharath to Faolan, meaning Little Wolf in Irish, due to an odd dream I had last night.
DISCLAIMER: I DON'T OWN HARRY POTTER OR GENSHIN IMPACT. I'm only trying to write out the idea I had in my head.
FYI, I had my dyslexic little sister help me write what I currently have, as she is more of a Harry Potter fan I am. And she has the books.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
1996, June 17th | Department of Mystery, British Ministry of Magic
Sirius and Bellatrix were taunting each other through the spell-fire, when Harry noticed that Sirius was getting far too close to that weird whispering curtain/arch in the middle of the room. Harry began to feel very uneased at how close the older man was to the artifact, "Sirius!" Harry shouted as he dashed towards his godfather. And just as he managed to push the older man out of the way of one spell, a hidden stunner from Bellatrix hits Harry, flinging him back into the curtains.
And the last thing Harry heard was Sirius and Remus yelling his name, while Bellatrix cackled in the background.

Unknown Location
The first thing that Harry noticed was the feeling of falling, but it doesn't scare him. Then, he started to notice a feeling of pressure, like a balloon that was filled with too much air and was about to pop. When it did, it did so painlessly. And damn did it feel good, like he never truly noticed how wrong he felt in his own body until the wrongness was gone.
Then he notices it's starting to get brighter, when before it was completely dark. Now, the world around him is starting to get brighter and brighter, till it's completely white. Suddenly, some form of rock writing appears in front of him, darker than night itself. 'Maybe obsidian?' Harry thought as he looks at it. It writes out his name, Harry James Potter-Black, before shattering. When it pulls itself back together, it spells out only one word, Faolan.
'What is a Faolan?' Harry thought. "You." Harry heard. No, not heard. Felt, the voice/feeling, it felt familiar and safe, but he doesn't remember from where. Yet, he understood what it meant. His name was Faolan now, and the name felt more fitting then Harry ever did, thanks to his damn relatives. Then, just as quick the voice came it was gone, and the white started to turn blue like that of a bright afternoon sky.
SPLASH!
Notes:
Let me know how my sister and I did, this is our first time trying to write a fic together, though she doesn't want her name on it.
Chapter 2: Mondstadt I
Notes:
Thank you Solarchan and Lara_Niric for being the 1st and 2nd to Kudo the story, and especially Lara for being our 1st comment. It means a lot to us.
Also, can someone tell me how to add photos to the notes? Or do I just need to create a Google Doc with the pic of what Harry/Faolan looks like now and link it?
Edit6-14-2022: Merged the original chapters Mondstadt I and Mondstadt II together.

SPLASH
Faolan gasp as he lands in cold water breathing in a little bit, causing him to cough, slightly breathing in a small amount of water before realizing he's underwater. As he swims up and breaks the surface, coughing up the water he looks around and notices that he's in the ocean. Luckily though, he spots a small bit of land not far from him.
As he starts swimming forward, he began to feel a strange weight dragging behind him. When he finally manages to drag himself onto land on his hands and knees, he falls onto his side and just lays there catching his breath. After a few minutes, he forces himself to stand and starts peeling off his school robes and loosen the tie as he looks behind him.
He notices something red move out of view, so he turns the other way as he reaches behind him, just to barely miss the thing. 'Maybe...?' He thinks as he reaches closer behind him, only to grab something wet and furry. He gives it a tug to bring it into view, only to drop it with a small yelp as he feels a sharp pain go up to the base of his spine.
"What in the name of Padfoot...?" He mutters in slight panic as he carefully reaches back around and slowly brings it into view. It's a very wet red tail. That's when he feels something twitching on the top of his head. He lets go of the tail and raises the hand to his head, only to feel wet furry ears. He plops back onto the ground, burying his face into his hands and wonders which deity he pissed off in a past life. That's when he notices that his skin is no longer the pasty pale he's used to. Instead, he's more of a hot chocolate now.
'Okay Faolan, just breathe. It's not that big of a deal, McGonagall can turn into a cat and Padfoot can turn into a dog. Having ears and a tail is not that big of a deal.' Then his ears twitch as he finally pays attention to the sound of running water in the distance. Taking another deep breath, he stands once more and starts following the sound, hoping it's fresh water.
As he fast walks along the cliffside, noticing in the back of his mind a weird red object/statue to his right as he walks past it, and climbs a ledge to get to the small pond with a waterfall flowing into it. He carefully hurries over to the water, keeping an eye and ear out for any strange sounds. Yet he can only hear the sounds of bugs and other small critters moving about, for now.
When he reaches the water's edge, the first thing he notices is his hair. Though still quite damp, it had the same wavy-ness that Sirius' hair does, but instead of black it's red, it seems to end a little past his shoulder. As he looks at his reflection, he sees the ears on top of his head moving, taking in all the different sounds he can now hear, when he notices the soft sound of footsteps above him.

Thwap
Amber sighs in relief as the Cryo-Whopperflower dies, dissolving into golden flakes before disappearing. She tosses her bow back into her pocket space before walking over to the cliff's edge next to a stream leading into a small waterfall, taking in the view of the trees below and the small beach stretching out before her. That's when her keen ears pick up on the sound of footsteps just below her.
When she looks over the edge, all she sees is red hair at first. 'Master Diluc? What's he doing all the way out here?' She thinks, before noticing that the person she's seeing has far darker skin than Diluc does. In fact, it's almost the same skin tone that Captain Kaeya has. "Hey!" Amber calls out to catch the stranger's attention, before hopping off the cliff, bouncing off a tree branch and landing on the ground below with a roll.
Popping back onto her feet, she quickly takes in the stranger. Hair the color of blood with dark skin and eyes a shade of green she's never seen on a person before. That's when she notices that the teen before her has animal ears and a tail the same color as his hair, like Diona though his are more canine, and that he's absolutely fucking soaked.
"May the Anemo God protect you, stranger. My name is Amber, Outrider for the Knights of Favonius." I greet the younger teen with a salute. "Despite looking like a love-child of Diluc and Kaeya, I don't think you're a citizen of Mondstadt. Where do you hail from stranger?" Amber asks.
That's when she noticed his uneased look, like an abused pup. He has small scraps and cuts on his face and arms and his clothes was disheveled, like he got into a fight with a Hilichrul. Amber was suddenly worried that there was some nearby. So, before he could respond to her question, she asked "Are you ok? You seem to be hurt. Here, let me patch you up."
As she began to reach for the boy, he backed away almost falling over. "I'm sorry," Amber says, "I promise, I'm not going to hurt you." She says with her hands up, showing she means no harm. "I'm a Knight, a protector." She sees it seems to calm him down, as he lets her get close enough to help clean and bandage his injuries. "Faolan... My name is Faolan. And I don't know how I got here, one minute I was falling through an arch. The next, I'm landing in the ocean." He finishes, answering her earlier question.
'Well, that explains why he's soaked.' Amber thinks, as she finishes cleaning and bandaging him up for now. "Don't worry Faolan, I can take you to Mondstadt. That's the closest city. Jean, Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, should have some idea on how to help you. Even if Jean can't, Lisa might have an idea." Amber says as she gently grabs his hand, about to start leading him to the city, when the younger teen gently speaks up.
"Amber, what is that?" He asks, and I see him point back towards the small beach. Amber turns to look at what he's pointing at, "Oh, that's an old transport system stone." She explains as they hop back down and over to it. Yet, as they get close to the stone, it seems to react to him. It starts floating and changes color from red to a bright blue. "Impossible..." She mutters.
"What's impossible?" Faolan asks, so she begins to explain. "These old transport stones haven't been active in well over a hundred years." She says, getting excited for what it could mean. 'I need to report this to Jean and Lisa.' Amber thinks, when she notices that Faolan is looking at the stone with a wary look on his face.
"Oh, don't worry, this isn't a bad thing. In fact, it's a very good thing since if we can get all of them working again, it'll make traveling easier and safer for everyone." She explains. "Really?" Faolan asks. "Yes, really." Amber replies, and that seems to get him to stop looking so worried. 'I can't help but wonder what his life was like before he appeared here. Based on the scars I saw on his arms; I'll probably want to set some people on fire.'
"Come on, the city is a bit of a walk from here. We'll want to get there before the sun starts to set." She says as she gently tugs his hand to get him to climb back up the ledge and start walking north. "Okay." I hear him reply, as he takes one last look at the now floating Transport Stone.
Chapter 3: Mondstadt II
Chapter Text
A few days later
It’s been a few days since Amber brought Faolan to Mondstadt, introducing him to the Acting Grand Master Jean, Head Librarian Lisa and Captain of the Calvary Kaeya. While they only have theories of how Faolan ended up on Teyvat and why the old Transport system reacted to him like it did, though that may have something to do with his magic. While Faolan’s magic is like Mana, it behaves differently.
They gave Faolan a room in the Barracks and a set of new clothes to replace his school uniform.
So here Faolan was, walking around just outside the city walls, though not too far as he’s still not well enough to try defending himself if he ends up in a fight with any Hilichruls. Even Slimes can take him out at this point.
KABOOM
SPLASH
‘What was that?’ Faolan thought to himself, as he went towards the noise out of curiosity. Being careful, just in case it’s some Pyro-Hilichruls messing with explosives. As he gets closer to the source of the explosion, he hears the sound of a child’s delighted laughter. When he finally reached the source of the laughter, he saw a little girl dressed in red with a large backpack collecting a bunch of crispy fish.
Faolan then notices a Cryo-Slime make an appearance, and when he goes to grab her and run, the little girl grabs something from her backpack and tosses it at the Slime without looking.
Kaboom
‘That Slime is majorly dead now, so that’s where the sound came from.’ Faolan thinks as he stands there staring at the small crater the explosives made before loudly saying "Um hello-" but before he could finish, “Ah, Jean!” She yells before turning around. Coming to a stop when she notices it’s not the older woman.
She stares at Faolan for a few seconds, eyes going big, before letting out a squeal of delight. She rushes over to him, and starts asking questions while trying to climb him, not giving him a chance to respond.
“Hi! What’s your name? I’m Klee! Are you a wolf? Or part wolf? Are your ears and tail as soft as they look?” As she says this, Klee has reached his shoulders and starts petting his ears. “Are you the new person everyone has been talking about? Do you want to go Fish Blasting with me?”
All Faolan can do is just blink for a few seconds, amazed at all she said in one breath. As he tried looking up at her, all he could think was this, ‘She’s mine now. If anyone hurts her, well they won't get a second chance.’
“Sure.” Faolan replies, and Klee smiles brightly down at him. She points him in the direction of the next fishing spot, and they spend the next few hours Fish Blasting.
Meanwhile
The Department of Mysteries
“No!” Sirius and Remus scream together, though Remus had to grab ahold of Sirius to keep him from going through the Veil himself. As much as Remus wants to go through and try to get him, he knows that's not possible. While this was happening, the Death Eaters were freaking out because while they wanted Potter dead, they knew their Lord wanted to do it himself, so they began to flee.
While Luna walked over to the two men, they turned to look at her. Remus and Sirius were angry at first to see her having a serene-pleased look on her face, but before either of them could say anything, she spoke. “Don’t worry, he is safe and will be happy where he is. We will be joining him soon enough.”
That made the older men pause, and Sirius stared at her for a moment before realizing why she looked familiar. Luna is Pandora’s daughter, and he remembers how Pandora always knew things before they happened, and had never been wrong before. Sirius turns to Remus, “Pandora.” Then Remus understands.
Remus turns back to Luna, “When?” He asks. “Once the people who’ve hurt Harry have been dealt with.” She replies. “Who? hurt my Godson.” Sirius asks 'obviously she is not talking about the Death Eaters or Moldeyshorts'. “ He will help you understand.'' She replies, while the older men don’t fully understand they knew they would soon, "Ok." both say and nod anyway.
Back on Teyvat
The sun was almost ready to start setting when Faolan was walking back to the Barracks with Klee still on his shoulders, the little girl happily petting his ears and putting small braids in his hair. They had managed to get a lot of fish more than Faolan thought was needed but Klee said they could sell what they didn't need to the Good Hunter and the Cat’s Tail Tavern.
After dealing with the fish, they reached the Barracks in time for dinner and Klee took the time to introduce Faolan to Albedo and Sucrose of the Research Department. After some very light chatter, Klee and Faolan left for their rooms for the night.
