Item #: 16792
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-16792-A is contained in a modified humanoid containment cell, with addition of padding to the walls and floor. All furniture is to be modified to prevent it from being used in self-injurious behaviour, and SCP-16792-A is to be monitored at all times to prevent self-termination. Sedatives are to be used if SCP-16792-A displays destructive or self-injurious behaviour. Personnel are to be advised to be cautious of SCP-16792-A at all times, and those who grow too attached to it are to be rotated out.
SCP-16792-A may make requests, however, all requests must undergo review to discern any that may be an attempt to injure itself or others. So far, SCP-16792-A has requested:
- Puberty blockers (approved)
- A music player and two (2) vinyl discs (approved)
- Clothing it wore prior to containment (denied)
- A Nintendo Switch and a copy of the game Animal Crossing: New Horizons (approved)
- Scissors (denied)
- A haircut
(approved)(denied after repeated aggressive behaviour) - Cans of Coca Cola (approved)
- Gardening supplies (denied)
- Sewing supplies (denied)
- Ceased contact with SCP-16792-B (denied)
- Termination (denied)
SCP-16792-B is contained within a 3m x 3m x 3m cell eighteen hours a day, and observation should be cycled through frequently. So far, SCP-16792-B has not requested any furniture or other amenities. SCP-16792-B requires 2000 calories worth of raw meat delivered on a biweekly basis. SCP-16792-B is required to come into contact with SCP-16792-A for a period of no less than six hours a day, however extended contact is discouraged due to the negative affect on SCP-16792-A's mental state.
Description: SCP-16792 refers to a pair of anomalous humanoids, though so far only the anomalous properties of SCP-16792-B have been well documented. SCP-16792-A claims to be non-anomalous, with SCP-16792-B being an anomalous being who has been an unwanted presence in its life since a young age, while SCP-16792-B claims to be a Foundation member who became anomalous upon contact with SCP-16792-A. Investigation has produced limited results.
SCP-16792-A appears to be a Caucasian transgender male between the ages of ██ and ██, with prematurely greying long blond hair and blue eyes. It appears in most regards to be a regular adolescent, apart from intense scarring and malnutrition. SCP-16792-A displays remarkable symptoms of both Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), however psychological tests have come back inconclusive due to the uncooperative nature of the subject.
SCP-16792-A alternates between extreme states of aggressive behaviour towards personnel and severe self-injurious behaviour. Personnel who have had frequent interaction with SCP-19792-A have, however, reported it to display extreme clinginess and attachment on occasions. Both are to be discouraged gently, but firmly.
SCP-16792-A appears to have a remarkable effect upon neutralising the anomalous properties of SCP-16792-B, but even through extensive testing the manner in which SCP-16792-A accomplishes this are unknown. Any attempts to prompt SCP-16792-A on SCP-16792-B cause it to respond in extreme distress and aggression.
SCP-16792-B is a humanoid of indeterminate gender and age. SCP-16792-B is 2.5 meters tall, and weighs just under 90 kilograms. It is covered in a white, chitinous material that is lighter and more durable than most known organic material, and sheds and regrows over a bi-monthly cycle, and experiments on it are ongoing. SCP-16792-B also displays noticeable ovine traits, with thick wool-like hair, protruding ears, and curled horns.
SCP-16792-B claims to be former Researcher Dr. E████ Somnus, and demonstrates a remarkable knowledge and eagerness towards research of any sort, both on itself and SCP-16792-B. There is consistent documentation of a Dr. Somnus being part of staff personnel for years, however attempts to interview anyone he is recorded as having worked with or around has them show no knowledge of such a man ever existing.
Subjects that observe SCP-16792-B experience a deep feeling of tranquility, and often report feeling a sense of peace and safety they'd never experienced before. Prolonged exposure results in subjects gradually growing drowsy and falling into a deep sleep. Universally, subjects describe having dreams of “family”, and while the way this manifests varies wildly it is almost always a pleasant experience, and in some way involves SCP-16792 both appearing as positive figures. Notably, SCP-16792-A appears to be completely unaffected by this.
SCP-16792-B has displayed consistent obedience and politeness towards staff, and a generally placid temperament as long as it’s needs are met. However, upon prolonged separation from SCP-16792-A, it displays an increasing amount of agitation, and the effects of it's anomalous properties grow stronger. After just a few days of separation, viewing SCP-16792-B causes subjects to fall into a deep coma after just a few minutes, those that wake up reporting extreme nightmares and requiring extensive psychiatric care. Further testing is strictly prohibited.
SCP-16792-B displays feelings of protectiveness and affection towards SCP-16792-A, frequently asking about it and referring to it as it’s “brother.” However, whenever it is introduced to it's chamber, it’s not uncommon for SCP-16792-B to display aggressive behaviour towards SCP-16792-A both verbally and physically. SCP-16792-B is to be sedated in situations where it poses notable risk to SCP-16792-A, though it is not to be removed from its presence until after at least six hours have passed. This approach has been reviewed multiple times by the Ethics Committee, and personnel inclined to keep reporting it to be reminded of the risk of containment breach if it’s not done.
Interview Log A:
Interviewed: SCP-16792-A
Interviewer: Dr. C██████ Puffy
Foreword: Interview held on 12/05/202█ after subject showed signs of severe self-injurious behaviour beyond what it normally shows. Dr. Puffy worked frequently on researching SCP-16792, and SCP-16792-A displayed greater cooperation around her.
<Begin Log>
[Dr. Puffy enters the containment chamber, with a syringe filled with sedatives. SCP-16792-A is curled up on its bed.]
Dr. Puffy: SCP-16792-A?
[No response.]
Dr. Puffy: [Pauses.] Tommy? [Note: “Tommy” is the name SCP-16792-B uses to refer to SCP-16792-A.]
[SCP-16792-A laughs]
SCP-16792-A: Been a long time since anyone but Dream called me that. [Note: “Dream” is the name SCP-16792-A uses to refer to SCP-16792-B.]
Dr. Puffy: Is that a good thing?
SCP-16792-A: I don’t fuckin' know, man. You scientist fuckers are weird, but you're better than him.
Dr. Puffy: Is SCP-16792-B why you're-
SCP-16792-A: Oh, is the fuckin' murderous psychopath threatening me with eternal torture that I can’t escape from the reason why I do anything? Who knows? [Pause, then sheepishly.] Sorry, Puffy.
Dr. Puffy: No problem. That’s quite an accusation you have there, though.
SCP-16792-A: It's- it’s true! You don’t- you don't know Dream like I do. You don’t.
Dr. Puffy: I'm not accusing you of anything, SCP-16792-A. I'd just like to know why you think that.
SCP-16792-A: I- I had a family once. Not anymore. Not since he- he- [SCP-16792-A starts crying.] I want Wilbur. I miss him so- so much.
Dr. Puffy: Wilbur?
SCP-16792-A: My brother- my real brother. He's- he's-
Dr. Puffy: Oh, sweetheart. [Dr. Puffy places a hand on SCP-16792-A's shoulder.]
SCP-16792-A: Don't patronise me. I'm a big man.
Dr. Puffy: Oh, of course. My apologies.
SCP-16792-A: You're not sorry.
Dr. Puffy: I am.
SCP-16792-A: If you were sorry, you'd fuckin' listen to me, alright? [SCP-16792-A grabs tightly onto Dr. Puffy's arm.] Dream is dangerous, man. You think you know him, but you don’t. You don’t! He acts all high and mighty and shit, but he’s playing you all like a fuckin' fiddle. I'm not special or anything. I don't make the weird shit he does stop, that’s all him. He's making all this up so- so you keep me trapped here with him! He doesn’t- he just wants to keep me here to fuck with me!
Dr. Puffy: Tommy-
SCP-16792-A: Please, please, you gotta believe me!
Dr. Puffy: [Sadly.] Tommy, we know.
[Dr. Puffy injects SCP-16792-A with the sedative.]
<End Log>
Closing Statement: The dosage on SCP-16792-A's medication was increased, and sedatives were applied to him around the clock for the next week. Ever since this incident, SCP-16792-A has been surprisingly docile, even around SCP-16792-B.
Interview Log B:
Interviewed: SCP-16792-B
Interviewer: Dr. C██████ Puffy
Foreword: Interview held on 12/06/202█.
<Begin Log>
[Dr. Puffy enters the containment chamber.]
Dr. Puffy: SCP-16792-B-
SCP-16792-B: You're not supposed to be here, aren’t you?
Dr. Puffy: [Flustered.] Well- I-
[SCP-16792-B laughs.]
SCP-16792-B: Don't worry, I don't bite. How's Tommy?
Dr. Puffy: How dare you ask that, after what you did to him?
SCP-16792-B: You'll have to be more specific than that, little lamb.
Dr. Puffy: You killed his brother, didn't you?
SCP-16792-B: [Confused.] I am his brother.
Dr. Puffy: Don't play dumb with me. I know about Wilbur.
SCP-16792-B: Wilbur wasn’t good enough. No one was good enough for my brother. Until I found you lot.
Dr. Puffy: What?
SCP-16792-B: I mean, it’s a mutually beneficial agreement, isn't it? You get to keep me contained, you get to study me, and in return, I get to keep what belongs to me all to myself, right?
Dr. Puffy: Why would the Foundation ever play along with that?
SCP-16792-B: You don’t want to know what happens when I don’t play your games. Sure, you'll keep me captured somehow, but I can make life very difficult for you if I want to, and I can make things a lot easier if you give me just one little thing.
Dr. Puffy: A child's life isn’t just one little thing!
SCP-16792-B: And how many children do you keep here?
[Long silence.]
SCP-16792-B: I like your audacity, little lamb. You're not like him, but you’re interesting enough.
Dr. Puffy: Go fuck yourself.
SCP-16792-B: You almost sound like him too.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: Dr. Puffy was given amnestics, reassigned, and will not be considered for work on SCP-16792 again.
