   Summary

   Aarush "Greenie" Rayasam is hiking to Hot Springs, North Carolina, in the rain when a trail angel named Tom Gaudet pulls over and asks if he needs a ride. Tom is withdrawn, unfriendly, and quiet, but Aarush can sense he is silently shouting for help.
   Tom's desperate situation immerses Aarush in memories of his own desperate past and in memories of a man name Ekraj, another angel, who helped Aarush years ago.

   This is a side story about how Gaudet met Greenie and how Greenie unknowingly saved Gaudet's life.
