The sounds of barking and howling rang out through the hallway, slowly getting louder and closer, and the group of kidnapped men stared at the entrance, their captors immediately on alert, guns raised at the approaching footsteps. In a flash, the door was slammed open and the growling of dogs was heard.
“Down, boys,” a voice ordered — a very recognizable voice, at that. The person turned to stare at the group entangled in rope and tape. “Damn, no wonder Khun Korn called us away from our shopping trip with the aunties to save your asses,” they snorted in amusement. “Alright, which of you fuckers decided to not only kidnap our boyfriends but also our friends?” Big hollered.
No one responded. His friend pulled out his gun and promptly shot the man closest to him. “Someone will tell Big who was in charge of all this, or else. ”
One of the guards grumbled. “It was fucking Tassatra Pramoj — better known as Satyr.”
Ken blinked before hissing. “Oh, that bastard— ”
Big’s brows furrowed before his eyes widened. “Holy shit , isn’t that the guy that double-crossed and cheated on both of us?”
“Well fuck me — you’re right. Never thought he’d rise up the ranks the way he has.”
“Once again, no fucking thank you, Ken. I’ll leave that to Khun Vegas and Pete.”
“I’m going to fucking bite you; I didn’t mean it in that way, and you know it.”
“ Kinky, ” Big deadpanned. “I’m sure Khun Vegas would thoroughly enjoy that.”
“Oh my god, just shut up about my sex life. It’s not like you and Khun Kinn and Porsche are any better.”
“You’re right. We’re not.”
“You shameless piece of shit.”
“Thanks, Ken, really feeling the love. No shit I’m shameless about it . If I deny anything they’re going to maul me even more than they already want to. The same goes for your own men!”
They both glanced at their partners and flushed at the gazes they were getting, fully aware of their eyes gazing over their exposed legs and neck-clad chokers.
“Anyways—” Ken coughed. “—I think it’s time for all of this to end.”
Ken snorted and kneeled down ruffling the fur of the dogs. One was an Australian Shepherd and the other a Shetland Sheepdog. He cooed at them before pointing at their boyfriends and friends in the back, ignoring the security who was still in shock. The dogs seemed to understand what he was telling them, as they ran past the guards and started licking at the others’ faces with a happy expression. The two canines stood by their side as they paid no attention to the enemies.
Before any of the captors could respond, Ken decked another guard. Snapping out of their stupor the multiple dozen men ran at them, completely infuriated by the displays made by the duo. He snatched the butterfly knife off of the table by his side and twirled it in his free hand, his other tightly gripping around the handle of his Glock 19.
Big was mirroring his actions and as the two made nonverbal cues at one another, the others watched in surprise as they began to fight the captors, their backs were pressed against one another, their motions were fluid and smooth, synchronicity in their moves, something extremely rare in any pair.
As Ken managed to dodge a hit, one of his opponents staggered him enough to cause him to drop his knife. Ken clicked his tongue in annoyance.
“You need mine?”
“Nah.”
Ken jumped from the ground, wrapping his legs around the approaching man’s neck. He slammed the two of them onto the ground, his legs trapping the man’s sides, lining up the gun’s barrel to the male’s head, he pulled the trigger and didn’t flinch when the blood splattered onto his face. He tsked and got back up.
“Big, want my gun?”
Ducking from an attack, Big gave an accepting motion and threw his knife over as Ken slid his gun over to his friend.
Ken picked it up and pierced the torso of the approaching person behind him.
“You all are pretty shitty at your jobs, you know that?” Big huffed. “You made it very obvious where you were at. Couldn’t you guys at least have tried to make this whole thing a high-risk situation for us?”
Ken nodded. “Agreed. You all suck at this kidnapping thing.”
The two went back to their fight and in the middle, Ken shoved Big from the crossfire. He handed his friend an envelope and the other knew what he wanted him to do. He sprinted to the other side of the room, dropping the paper under the two dogs’ bodies.
He looked at the Australian Shepherd and put a gentle hand on its fur. “Protect them and King, alright?” It barked in response, and then he turned to the Sheltie and smiled. “ You, you protect Ram and them, too, okay? If any of these bad men try to hurt any of them, you can bite them.”
Their tails continued to wag and Big grinned before going back to help Ken with the fight.
King took up the envelope in his jaws and shook it aggressively, the other dog Ram, seemingly giving him a deadpan stare. Porsche couldn’t help but snort at the sight. The paper did eventually rip and another knife and key came clunking onto the carpet floor. Ram bit onto the key, King holding the knife tightly between his teeth, and fiddled with the handcuffs wrapped around their wrists. The metal slammed onto the floor and Ram gently nuzzled the red marks on Tankhun’s skin. The eldest Theerapnyakun’s eyes softened as he ran his fingers through it’s fur.
King cut through the ropes still circling around their torsos and dumped it into the trash can when he was done.
Both dogs growled when a man approached them.
“What’s some doggies like you two going to do?” He rolled his eyes.
Ram barked and leaped up, biting his shoulder while King slammed his head into the man’s leg. Ram slammed his hind leg on the edge of a bookshelf, the hit unsettling the books, they came barreling down onto the male. King let out a small huff, his snout tipping up in amusement. They went back to their place next to the other humans. King sat by Vegas’ side while King by Kinn’s.
King let out a howl and there was another pair of canine noises responding to him. Two more dogs came strolling along in the room — a Samoyed and Shiba Inu .
What the hell. Why were there so many dogs here, Kim couldn’t help but wonder. Eyes narrowing at light-brown-toned one, the dog stared back, the two of them stuck in a staring contest. The pure white dog poked the other with its snout, a whine escaping it’s mouth. The Shiba Inu relented, nonetheless approaching the group. Big narrowed his eyes at them.
“And what do you two think you’re doing here? Tharn, Type, I’m pretty sure I told you to not follow us.”
The Shiba Inu didn’t respond nor did it seem to care, but the Samoyed lowered its head just slightly. He sighed but let it go. “Just..protect them all, alright?”
Tharn nodded, as did Type.
From far away, the sight would be incredibly domestic with four dogs of different breeds nuzzling and getting close to the men. King was gently playing around with Type, Tharn soon joining in as Ram watched everything with a curious look.
“Alright little ones, it’s time for us to go!” Ken hollered at the dogs. They all turned to stare at him, King and Tharn giving him the soft sparkling eyes. He sighed in exasperation. “I’m just bringing you home, with all of us. ”
Big watched it with a soft smile, Kinn and Porsche walking up to him. “So, what’s with the dogs?”
Big flinched. “Ah, well we figured that Tankhun was a bit antsy with his..history. Figured that it’d be good for him to have a distraction. So, Ken and I may have gotten some dogs on impulse — we will be taking responsibility for them if that’s what you’re concerned about.”
Kinn nodded. “Exactly how many?”
Big pursed his lips. “ Uh…well, you’ll have to see for yourself, I think, Kinn…”
He sighed. “Alright, Big. I hope that the mansion isn’t a mess right now…”
No response…
The mansion wasn’t destroyed, but it certainly was chaotic.
