Work Text:
It had started as any day had, with air of tension, and cautious behaviours, Marinette was most likely high on alert after Shadow Moth stopped his attacks for the week, giving them a restless sleep, and anxious mind.
Stumbling into the class yawning, she saw Alya sipping from a cup of coffee, poor girl, had volunteered to patrol overtime hidden under her illusions, hoping to discover suspicious acts, that could lead them the villain or clue them.
“Morning, Alya.” The young bluenette greeted her, sitting down in her seat.
Alya got out another cup of coffee, and pushed it to her friend, smiling cheerfully at her.
“Morning, slept well?” The lady blogger asked, sipping from her own cup.
“Not one bit, I couldn’t close my eyes for half an hour straight.” She relished the sweet smell of the vanilla latte, sipping carefully the hot liquid.
“Thank you very much, Alya, you’re the best.” Marinette sighed, closing her eyes, as she enjoyed her drink.
“So, I had a walk in the morning, nothing out of ordinary I suppose.” Alya pointed out, putting aside her book bag, and turning to look at her friend.
“We should stop, maybe it’s just a part of his plan, get us paranoid enough to be too exhausted to fight him.” Marinette said half heartedly, as she hardly believed her own words.
“You should get some rest for sure.” Alya said, pointing at the state Marinette was in.
“I’ll try after school.” She assured her.
She spook too soon, as at lunch break, Shadow Moth decided it was time to show up, sending an akuma out in Paris. It the normal chaos at first, Tikki helping her to fight, giving her the energies she needed, while Chat Noir took his time to appear.
In a blur, she was surrounded, an akuma to the right, sentimonster to the left, and behind her was the wall, she refused defeat, as she grabbed her yo-yo, sending a quick signal to her partner, before throwing it upwards, hooking it in something to pull out to the trap.
Ladybug landed on the roof, before leaping to another, hiding behind a wall, sending another message to her partner.
“Miss meow, m’lady?” He said in her ear, startling her, earning unintentional punch in the face.
“Sorry, kitty!” She gasped, raising her hands to her mouth.
“No, problem, m’lady.” He rubbed his nose, grimacing slightly.
The young heroine called for her lucky charm, getting a keychain, she looked at it weirdly, as she inspected her surroundings.
“Another ride with you, m’lady?” He cheekily said.
She huffed, as she cued him to follow her. Shadow Moth’s followers, trapped them again, forcing Chat Noir to use his cataclysm, freeing them from the cage. Both miraculous beeped as another minute passed, Ladybug looked distressed, as more and more villains showed up, tiring her.
Ladybug threw the snake bracelet to Chat Noir, it come that they can't leave the battle but their kwamis were spent and needed to recharge.
"But this is-"
"Just transform, Chat noir. Or you'll tell the whole world your identity." Ladybug yelled, getting out the mouse miraculous as well, unifying them felt like a nature to her.
Her spotted grey suit and pigtails made her look different from multimouse, and she was happy. She heard Chat noir's unification's phrase, before the cat ears disappeared, and the black colour faded away, and plagg flying into his holder's open palms.
"Aspik?" She whispered, her eyes widened.
"Watch out!" he shouted, before she felt his body slam into hers, pushing her out of danger's way. She gasped then looked around, seeing the spot she stood before, was blasted. She returned her gaze at him, finding him trying to blend them, so they could talk.
"It's going to be a while till they find us." Aspik said, kneeling before her on the ground.
"You- you-"
"I know! It's me, I'm also Adrien, and Chat noir."
"Tikki, spots off." pink light flashed, and there stood only Multimouse, with Tikki in her hands.
It was his turn to gasp, and for his eyes to widen, he was about to stutter before rena’s voice rang in Multimouse’s ear, startling her out of her daze, to warn her about the akuma who was heading their way.
She whined as she went to stand up, looking panicky at her ankle. He scooped her in his arms, as they hid behind another wall, the teal suited teen looked down at her, concerned.
“I’ll be ok.” She told him, before holding her ear, “Rena, come take the earrings.”
Aspik landed on her balcony, still carrying her inside, he laid Multimouse on her bed, careful to not put pressure on her ankle, as she de-transformed into her regular day clothes.
“I’m glad it’s you.” He whispered, staring at her n shock and awe.
“So, you’re not disappointed?” She asked hopefully.
“The complete opposite, m’lady.” He smiled softly, bending down to kiss her forehead. He looked in her eyes, drowning in the sea of them, glancing at her lips and back to her eyes again in the speed of light,
She noticed, and smiled, nodding at him as he leaned down slowly, placing his lips to hers in a sweet act of love. Both grinned when they pulled back. Marinette stayed down while he sat up again.
Marinette’s cheeks burned, as he pulled back, still in his suit. Aspik stared at her, and her redness deepened.
“Are you going to stare at me all night?” she stuttered, resisting to hide her face away.
“Sorry, It feels like a dream, pinch me.” He said wistfully.
He yelped suddenly. Looking to the side, he saw Plagg, “what was that for?”
“You asked for it.” He grumbled as he went down to the sewing box, meeting his fellow kwamis.
Marinette giggled, and he finally de-transformed, releasing Sass, as he flew on his palms, he fed him his favourite treat, putting him aside to rest, but he had quickly joined his friends in the box.
“Would you like to stay tonight, kitty?”
“Would you mind if I stayed forever?”
