While she and her daughter practically bathed in sunscreen to have any hope of staying a normal human complexion, her son had inherited that natural tan from his father. Looking out at the ocean, the sunset reflected off both her sun-kissed boys as Anakin gently tossed Luke into the air, the toddler squealing with joy. Her heart swelled with pride and adoration watching, as her sleeping baby girl snuggled further into her side.
From the moment she saw him, she knew there wasn’t a chance her life would ever be the same. If it wasn’t love at first sight, it was as close as it could get. His hopeless romanticism, his eternal youthfulness that sometimes made her feel like the only adult in the room… There was no one else, this was it. And he had given her everything she could’ve dreamed of. Supporting her goals and aspirations, giving her the wedding she’d been planning since she turned twelve, and completing their family with a daughter that looked like her with his attitude, and a son that looked like him with her kind-hearted nature. The perfect complement, making their family whole.
“I love you, Ani.”
“I love you, angel. Always.”
