Summary
It took one hundred and fifty years for the structure around their daily lives to be completely destroyed. The supernatural world, without no adept leaders, tore itself apart. This was when the cleric of the high elves and witch clans came together to converse with the fates. They'd have an offspring to fix this.
A child with just enough power to be able to travel and stay in the past long enough to nudge things into the right places.
