Work Text:
Steven pouts. “Just a sip?”
Marc gazes back over the rim of his mug, unmoved. “No.”
“Marc.”
“I know how you get with coffee.” Marc takes one last, spiteful sip, then lowers it. “There’s a reason you only drink tea, buddy.”
“Aw, let him have some, Marc,” Jake says, polishing his gun on the other side of the table. “Don’t hurt his feelings.”
Marc’s unimpressed gaze slides over to Jake. Sure enough, there’s a chaotic look in his eye as he adds, “A sip won’t kill ‘im.”
“See?” Steven gestures to Jake. “There. Two against one.” He holds out his hand.
Marc looks between them. “This is expensive stuff.”
“I know.” Steven makes grabby hands, inching closer until Marc sighs and slowly hands it to him.
“Just a little bit, okay?”
“Mhm,” Steven says, and lifts the warm mug to his lips.
Then he chugs.
“Steven!” Marc yells, jumping to his feet. Steven runs with the coffee sloshing over his hands. Marc chases him. “Steven!”
