Chapter Text
Yuki blinked her eyes open, wincing slightly against the sunlight pouring into her eyes.
Wait, she had died didn't she, that man in the alley way had killed her. She was almost positive about it, sure she didn't want to be dead. However that didn't change what had happened, she looked around in confusion noting the millions of All Might posters around the room she was in.
Sure she loved My Hero Academia, but not even she had as much All Might stuff as what was currently in this room. She tilted her head and turned towards the door, only to see a woman with bright green hair and pretty green eyes. They looked familiar, but she wasn't sure why since she was pretty sure she didn't know anyone with green dyed hair.
"Yuki dear, it's almost time for the Entrance Exams." The woman said with a sweet smile." I am so proud of you sweetie, I hope you get in."
Yuki wasn't an idiot, that one sentence had been more then enough to give her an idea of what had happened. She was in My Hero Academia and that was Inko Midoriya, she appeared to have the same first name though. She wondered if Izuku was her brother, but as she walked out of the room she noticed there were no other free bedrooms.
Izuku didn't exist, she had replaced them and that scared her.
It was then she noted the power building up inside her, she had One For All and that meant regardless of what she wanted...she would be forced to be the Hero of the story. Taking a deep breath she tried to calm her nerves as she ate breakfast and then left to get to UA, she hoped All Might would be able to help her once she told him her situation.
'Nine looks familiar.' A voice spoke in her mind, causing her heart to leap into her throat. This hadn't happened in the Anime, what was going on here?
'True, I can't place it without seeing her face though.' Another voice spoke up in response to the first, she was so confused and mildly scared at what they were talking about. With a rising worry she headed over to a bathroom, pausing in front of a mirror looking down and taking a hair brush out of her back pack for an excuse.
Then she looked up and began brushing her hair a little, almost dropping the brush at the sight of herself. She had white hair and bright red eyes, it was startling and she almost screamed. However she was more concerned about the reactions of the voices, hoping they weren't thinking what she thought they were.
'She looks just like, him.' A voice growled outwards, sounding angry and she suppressed a flinch at the tone. She finished brushing and put the brush back and headed towards the exam area.
"It's ok Yuki, things will all turn out alright." Yuki murmured to herself." You will become a Hero and people won't hate you for existing, then Kacchan will finally realize I'm not useless like he says I am."
She immediately thought of the scenes of bullying between Izuku and Bakugou, remembering to put herself in the memories instead of Izuku. She let them play at the forefront of her mind, knowing it was likely the One For All users could see her memories.
Her mind suddenly went into chaos, the One For All users sounding angry and horrified.
'What the hell?' The harsh voice from before stated' Who would allow that kind of thing happen to a child?!'
'I know, it's horrible.' A the first voice to have spoken in her head said softly.' She didn't deserve that regardless of being related to him or not. The fact she still cares for that boy is horrible, I would have told her mother if I was her.'
A few others made comments of agreement and anger, but Yuki pushed them to the back of her mind for the time being as she needed concentration. How was she supposed to activate One For All when she'd never experienced or even understood Quirks in her former life? She wasn't like Izuku who could analyze anything in minutes, the only advantage she had was that she knew what was going to happen and that's finicky in of itself.
After all she already landed in a world that Izuku didn't exist in, so how was she so sure that other things aren't much more different then Canon?
"Oh god, I don't know how to even activate One For All." Yuki said to herself panicking slightly." I can't very well use All Might's advice, love the guy...but even I know that wasn't good advice."
'Eh, looks like the kid's smart after all.' One of the voices spoke up, sounding amused.
'Second, stop insulting the girl.' Another voice snapped out, the voice was female indicating it was Nana. Yuki was slightly surprised that the One For All users couldn't hear her, then again perhaps her thoughts had to be directed at them.
"Ok, well it's an energy stockpile according to All Might, so if that's the case then I should activate it throughout my body." Yuki said out loud for the users benefit, also to make a good impression on said users." All Might completely buffs up when he activates the Quirk, not just a single limb so that makes the most sense. However according to them I barely have the muscle mass not to explode, so I shouldn't use as much of the Quirk until I know how much I can handle."
"Excuse me, miss." A voice spoke to her side and she turned towards the person in question, slightly startled." Um, you were muttering to yourself, I don't know if you knew that."
Standing in front of her was Shinsou, one of her favourite characters that wasn't a Pro or Villain. The purple haired teen was giving her a look, probably expecting her to say something. She gave a small chuckle, shifting slightly.
"I'm s-sorry." Yuki apologized softly." I understand it's creepy, I just sometimes get carried away."
Shinsou blinked, but didn't seem to offended and just nodded. She watched the other teen walk away, letting out a sigh as he did so. The Exam was starting in a few minutes, she hadn't bothered to listen to Present Mic as it wasn't necessary. However as she made her way with her potential future classmates to the arena, she couldn't help but feel a trill of fear course through her.
'I'm gonna fail, it's inevitable.' Yuki thought in mild panic, pretending to not notice how she had sent the thought towards the One For All users.
'Wait, did you just hear what I heard?' One of the users asked sounding surprised, the other made noises of agreement.
'We did, Fifth.' Another voice replied, sounding almost in awe.' We've never been able to hear a users thoughts before, perhaps this is due to hitting singularity? I don't know, what do you think Fourth?'
'Possible, but something about this doesn't feel right.' Hikage stated, sounding suspicious and Yuki winced slightly. Ok then, Hikage being paranoid is definitely true then, she'd have to be more careful.
"GO!" Present Mic shouted and Yuki activated as little of One For All as she could without being useless, letting it flow continuously throughout her body and shot off like a rocket into the incoming robots.
Red lightning crackled around her body, another point in the All For One is her father theory and she hoped her theory was wrong. She dispatched the robots as quickly as possible, not allowing them any time to even react. If there was one thing she learned watching the Anime, it was that it was extremely important to strike first.
Time slowly ticked by and she hoped that she was getting enough points in order to pass, but as the two minute mark hit, the tell-tale shaking indicated the zero pointers arrival. She looked up and paled drastically, she knew it was big and all, but that was downright dangerous for a teenager to go against.
"What the fuck is wrong with these teachers?!" Yuki exclaimed out loud." Someone could get really hurt from that thing or potentially die!"
She knew she couldn't run though, several of the other contestants weren't running fast enough to get out of the way of the massive robot. So instead she rushed towards the giant robot, making sure the One For All users could feel her determination and resolve. If she had to die, then she'd do so for other to live.
'Time to show the world what Yuki Midoriya can do, I won't let anyone get hurt.' Yuki thought, before using as much One For All as was safe and jumping upwards toward the head of the massive zero pointer.
Her fist collided with the metal armour of the robot, before denting under the pressure. She smirked as sparks flew from the machine, she gave one last punch and the robot fell over as it lost it's balance. Her excitement was short lived however, realizing she was falling quickly she tried everything in her arsenal to land without killing herself.
'She's going to die!' Nana's shouted out in panic.' I'm sorry First, but I have to do this.'
A moment later after she had closed her eyes, she came to a stop and opened her eyes in confusion. She was floating freely and a quick look around indicated it wasn't Uraraka doing it. Had she just manifested Float, unease began rising inside her. It hadn't been until season five that Izuku had started gaining the other users Quirks, what was so different this time?
'Nana!' A voice scolded, sounding concerned.' That was extremely dangerous for the girl, she's barely absorbed One For All...you could have killed her!'
'I know, but either way she would have died.' Nana protested.' At least this way she had a chance to live!'
Yuki was still floating, wondering how to get the Quirk to let her down slowly. She tilted her head and thought of gliding down, to her surprise it seemed to work and she was soon moving towards the ground steadily.
'This is so freaking cool!' Yuki thought squealing slightly.' I don't remember All Might having this ability, but I am positive I was Quirkless before gaining One For All.'
'Dammit, now she's suspicious.' Second grumbled out annoyed.
'Well, Seventh will be visiting her anyways tonight, so it doesn't really matter much.' A new voice stated simply, making her curious on which user this one was.
Once her feet hit the ground, she landed with a large grin on her face. A moment later Present Mic ended the exam, which was expected considering how Izuku's exam went in the Anime.
"Well, here's to hoping that I managed to get enough points to pass." Yuki muttered out loud and turned to follow the others out of the arena, but even though she knew she did more then Izuku...she couldn't help but feel nervous about her chances.
As she walked out of the school, she could only replay the exam in her head over and over again. She wanted to identify how she'd messed up and what she could do to prevent it from happening in the future, even if it seemed like such a monumental task. She didn't exactly want to be a Hero, but she was forced into the position cause there would be anything left for her if the League won the war.
Not to mention she'd been thrust into the role of the main character, even if she was aware she wasn't going to get any plot armour. This was real life now, which meant it was unfair and didn't take sides. She'd have to learn how to survive in a world where Quirks were common and Villains ran the streets.
"I hope this proves to you that I won't be your puppet, Father." Yuki murmured softly, glaring at the ground as she walked. The comment was more for the One For All users then her, but if her suspicions were true...then reassuring herself wouldn't hurt.
'So she is his daughter.' Yoichi said, a sound similar to a sigh escaping her apparent Uncle.' I can't believe they had a child, I hope Eighth didn't make a mistake.'
It hurt knowing Yoichi didn't believe in her, but considering what her Father did to him...it wasn't fair to blame her Uncle. She'd eventually show the man she could be trusted, maybe even form a family with him and the other One For All users. It wasn't likely, but still, she could dream.
