Chapter Text
Izuku landed with a thump on the pavement of a street, groaning as he stumbled hurriedly to his feet and looked around.
The area was dark, none of the houses had lights in them and there was an aura of fear surrounding the neighbourhood. He frowned, walking down the street for a few minutes until he came across a soaking wet newspaper and picked it up. Through the smudged lines he saw something that made his heart drop and he let the soggy newspaper fall back to the ground, horror rising inside him.
Two hundred years, he was two hundred years in the past and he had no idea how he got here. The only thing he remembered was fighting a Villain, yet the Villain hadn't had a time related Quirk so how had he ended up here?
Perhaps he could ask the One For All users, it made the most sense. The users had taught him how to block them out of his mind when he didn't want their commentary, which wasn't too often, mostly while he was on patrol. This time however he'd needed their help, since he had no idea how to make his way through the current time without raising suspicions.
'Yoichi, are you there?' Izuku called to his friend, before feeling the other users begin to stir at the realization Izuku was calling for one of them.
'Right here, is something wrong?' Yoichi asked curiously, making Izuku wince and gently push the memory of the newspaper to the ghost inside his Quirk. Almost immediately the One For All users were on edge, their paranoia and fear spiking and almost overwhelming Izuku himself.
'How the hell?' Katsumi muttered, the Second user sounding cautious and wary like they expected to be attacked at any moment.' Kid you need to get off the streets now, before cops or other law enforcement arrives...remember, Quirks are hated during this time period.'
Izuku nodded and with a burst of One For All he disappeared and reappeared in a secluded area of the town or city he ended up in. With a deep breath, he glanced around the junkyard he ended up in and stared at the trash that had been thrown away. If he was lucky he might even find something in there to help him, but first he needed to know where he was...not just when he was.
'Your in a town about fifty miles from our main base of operations.' Sokka stated simply.' If you head west from here, we should be able to lead you there...the only issue is our past selves won't be very keen on an unknown player popping up at their base randomly.'
'That's an understatement if I've ever heard one, we don't even know if Yoichi's been rescued at this point.' Katsumi added with a growl.' All we got from the newspaper is the year, everything else is up in the air...this could be before or after Yoichi was rescued.'
With a sigh, Izuku turned towards the direction he was directed and powered One For All and Fa Jin up together, he could figure out how to approach the past Second and Third when he crossed that bridge. The priority was just getting to the same area they were in, as well as avoiding the past All For One who was sure to have sensed a new version of One For All if Yoichi really was rescued.
For the next few hours, Izuku just ran at blinding speeds and if anyone were to be there when he passed...all they would see is a momentary flash of greenish-blue and then nothing as if he wasn't even there.
'Any idea's on how to approach your past selves?' Izuku asked as they finally came to a stop in an alley way of the city in which their base was located.
'Save a few lives?' Katsumi suggested, giving the impression of a shrug.' I might not have been the warmest person out there, but I definitely respected people saving lives.'
'That could work, but I do feel like actively hunting All For One's forces would give a better result all things considered.' Sokka added with a huff.' Showing that your not on that mans side might get one of us to approach you about joining the resistance, but you have to be careful not to accidentally get in the way of missions we've done in the past.'
'Just be careful, Izuku.' Yoichi murmured softly, sounding concerned.' I don't want anything to happen to you. You have no clue what it was like back during these days, not even the war against Shigaraki would have scrapped the surface of what went down during the Quirk Wars.'
'I will, Yoichi, promise.' Izuku reassured his friend, before he slowly entered a nearby shop to get hair dye and civilian clothing.
He chose plain clothing and black hair dye, since his green hair was already dark and would take to much time to bleach it light enough to dye any other color. His eyes thankfully seemed relatively normal, so he could do without contacts.
Once he was finished with his makeover, he made his way towards the less the ideal part of the area and began keeping a watch out for any criminals in the area. A few times he was stopped from interfering when Sokka or Katsumi remembered one of their own team handling a situation.
However that situation only popped up once and a while, leaving him dealing with most of the people in the area.
That was until be complete accident he ran into All For One, the man clearly in a disguise for some reason which Izuku suspected was for spying or information gathering. Due to their hood, he hadn't realized who he had saved until he'd pulled them out of the way of a direct gun shot from a thug.
"Are you ok sir-" Izuku trailed off, horror rising once more inside him as he realized he just saved All For One from a thug, he was so getting scolded by Katsumi and Sokka later.
"Ah, I'm quite alright, young man!" All For One stated reassuringly, giving a sheepish grin and rubbing the back of their neck." I apologize for forcing you to risk your life, for me of all people."
Izuku wanted to the kill the man right now, but something was stopping him that he didn't understand. Whenever he went to use his Quirk on them, the Quirk just refused to listen and the One For All users muttering to themselves hurriedly. He just hoped One For All wasn't broken, this was the worst time for it.
"No problem, um...my names Izuku Midoriya, nice to meet you I guess!" Izuku chirped as he tried to bye time and figure out a plan.
"Izuku Midoriya, I like the sound of that." All For One commented, before sighing." Since you told me your name, I suppose it's only fair I do the same for you...my name is Shiro Shigaraki."
"White?" Izuku questioned with a raised eyebrow, the users still arguing in the back of his head." Your parents must have been very original to come up with that."
Shiro winced slightly, mild pain clear as day in their eyes and body language and Izuku wondered if he had hit a nerve. He hoped he didn't make them tire of dealing with him, he didn't really feel like dying just yet.
"My parents were horrible people, of course they wouldn't want to name their freak son anything but an unoriginal name." Shiro hissed out lowly, their red eyes glaring at a lamp post not to far away." Enough about me, don't you need to get somewhere? Not a lot of people are out at night, considering how dangerous nighttime is for people these days."
"As I currently have no home, I don't think I have choice but to deal with the night right now." Izuku commented idly, making the man frown.
"Your homeless?" Shiro asked and Izuku just gave a non-concerned shrug.
"I suppose I would be classified as such, not that I really care in the long run all things considered." Izuku stated before making an attempt to walk away, only for Shiro to grab their arm and he tensed.
Glancing back at Shiro revealed a conflicted expression, before they gave a small sigh as if coming to a decision.
"Do you need a place to stay?" Shiro asked." Normally I wouldn't offer this to strangers, but since you saved my life...I think it's only fair."
Izuku wanted to decline, but he also didn't know if he could get away from the man if they decided to pursue and playing the oblivious person might get information from them as well as preserve the timeline as much as he could all things considered. So with a deep sigh and the protests of the One For All users, he tried sending feelings of reassurance...though it did nothing to calm the users emotions.
"Sure, I suppose...but don't expect me to stay for more then a couple weeks at most." Izuku warned and Shiro smirked, but gave a nod in response.
"I can live with that, now Midoriya, would you like a car ride to my place?" Shiro asked and Izuku gave a soft sigh, before smirking equally at the Super Villian in the making and gave a small nod.
"Of course, Shigaraki." Izuku chirped." I would love to have one!"
