A small girl was chasing her prey under the light of the sun. Her short skirt fluttered around her legs as she ran, following the mouse mute as it tried to get away from her.
Luckily, it ran into a dead end and the five year old girl blocked the only way out. The mouse, called Jasper, turned around with terrified eyes and looked right into the eyes of the hungry, small girl. She had a Deathstalker Tail on top of a metal staff, there was now way he would be able to get away. This girl was fast and smart.
"P-please, spare me... I have children at home..." he pleaded as the girl got closer to him, an angry look on her face.
When she was close enough to hit the mouse with her staff, she looked straight into the eyes of the terrified mute. Memories of her past self flashed before her eyes. She remembered when she had been in the same position as this mute. Her own family, growling at her. She had managed to get away, and now she was here, doing the same thing to this mouse as the wolves had done to her.
She didn't want to be a monster, she couldn't do it. This mute had thoughts and feelings, and he was scared of her. Just as scared she had been back there. Guilt ran through her body and the little girl lowered her staff, trying to hide the tears in her eyes as she looked down to the ground.
"Go." she whispered in a shaky voice, and the mute immediately got up and ran away as quick as he could, afraid that the little girl would change her mind if he stayed too long.
When she was all alone again, she broke down into tears as her legs couldn't hold her weight anymore and had her fall down to the ground. She wasn't a monster, she didn't want to be a monster. She couldn't kill mutes who were just like her. She couldn't do the same thing her old family had done to her. She couldn't-
She managed to take a few deep breaths to calm back down before she stood back up and left the dead end alley to go back home. She then decided that from that day, she would never eat a talking mute. She couldn't do the same mistake her parents had done to her. They had destroyed her and she didn't want to hurt anyone else the same way.
The little girl walked back home after she had managed to eat a big spider for lunch. A non talking spider.
