Work Text:

It's 1986 and Nandor is a regular human man. He's an insurance agent, a karaoke singer, a tax payer. He eats and lives and breathes in the sunlight. He takes aerobics classes every Thursday night after work. Among other things. He struts out of the office with a pep in his step every Thursday evening, but he's no angel.

Walkman blasting Madonna in his ears, Nandor regularly hauls his gym bag around Staten Island with confidence. He was sweet in his cute little haircut, taller than a New York skyscraper he's easy to point out in a crowd. There was a joyful absence behind his eyes. He seemed to be carelessly unaware of monsters, making him easy prey. Little did he know, a vampire had been stalking him in the shadows for weeks, thirsty and wanting.

The night Guillermo the Brutal decided to kill Nandor, he moved quickly without arousing suspicion. He follows him as a bat. He flew above Nandor's car from the office to the gym, five miles of flying, wings beating furiously in the moonlight. When he transformed from bat to vampire, he appeared as a sweet faced academic on his way home from the library. Guillermo walked casually through the parking lot in an expensive pair of loafers, a dark sweater, a leather sports jacket, and a handful of books. He waited patiently in an alley beside the gym for the aerobics class to finish. His teeth stayed sharp and ready to feed as he read one of the books he carried, glancing at the door intermittently.

After an hour or so, the vampire heard the door to the gym burst open. Nandor was leaving aerobics for the last time.

He had two girls and a boy on his arm. They smiled and sang along to the song they'd danced all night too. They patted his shoulder and kissed his cheeks and wished him a good night as they headed to their own separate cars. Unfortunately, tonight positive energy from good friends isn't enough to save Nandor from his fate for he will soon cross paths with a bloodthirsty monster.

As soon as Nandor was alone in the parking lot, Guillermo cleared his throat and called attention to himself in the dark alley beside the gym. Nandor, alone, looked in his direction startled. His car keys were still hanging from his hands. Guillermo used hypnosis on him.

hello... beautiful lonely man... you are not in danger... you are safe... you are curious... you want to know who i am....

Nandor stood still as a rock, staring at the vampire in the alley. Long after his friends (the would-be witnesses) have driven off, Nandor found himself wandering away from his car and walking right into danger's sultry grip. His feet shuffled toward what looked like a small man with a boyish face and very cute glasses.

Nandor could tell the alley man was young from a distance, but up close he was certain. Youth poured from every inch of his skin. He glowed. Not a wrinkle or back ache or grey hair in sight. The boy had to be at least 20 years younger than him. Yet, here he was asking for Nandor's attention. Strange. Uncommon. Nandor wants to know what he wants.

As the man approached, Guillermo could not help that wicked smile from blossoming on his lips. Got him. Now to seal the deal. He lifted a cigarette between his strong fingers and asked the human man softly, "Hey. Got a light?"

Nandor nearly dropped his gym bag when he heard how gentle his voice was. In an instant all his defenses fell. He wasn't scared of this strange alley boy. Not at all.

He should be.

Fumbling around with the zipper, Nandor shoved his hand into the bag trying to produce everything this beautiful stranger could ask him for. All the while the boy stared him down, watching him, inspecting his every move. Nandor dug around in his bag unsuccessfully with impatient eyes. "I swear I have one somewhere."

"Nice shorts." Guillermo smirked, tilting his chin to his prey's long human legs. His shorts were jet black just like his long, flowing hair. They had a high seam, showing off miles and miles of calf, knee, and thigh. So much skin. So many places to bite. Guillermo's eyes darkened and his tongue parched dry with thirst. "You're not cold?"

Nandor's hand closed around the small cherry red gas station lighter in his bag. He took a deep breath to answer the young man, cold vapor exiting his lips as he spoke, "No... I'm not." Nandor pulled the lighter out. He presented it to the man shaped monster, lighting it dutifully and raising the flame toward the cigarette in his small, young mouth.

Blood pumped hard inside the veins in his wrist, a rush of liquid gold flowing to the beat of his big heart. As Guillermo leaned in to light his cigarette he could smell how delicious Nandor would taste. Like the first bite of an apple on a tree in Eden. Sweet. Decadent. Soft skin. Warm juices dripping down his neck.

Guillermo the Brutal smiled out a deep smoky breath, leaning back from the fire and smoke. The cigarette hung delicately between his fingers as he stared the human down, anticipating that First Bite. "What's your name?"

Nandor adjusted the bag nervously on his shoulder, "Nandor."

Guillermo raised an eyebrow.

Nandor explained, "I was born in Southern Iran."

"You're far from home." Guillermo's eyes stared directly into his prey's, "Hm. Nandor. That name suits you. It's rare. Distinguished. Gentlemanly."

Nandor grew nervous as the young man spoke, running his hand through his long hair. "Thank you. What's your name?" His hair waved softly around his dark beard when his hand fell. Somehow the vampire grew thirstier still. He stood with a confident puff to his chest, certain right now in this alley was the perfect place to end his new friend's life. This won't take long. Look at him. He's just asking for it. Guillermo puffed on his cigarette. "Doesn't matter. How was your little dance class?"

"It was alright. I worked up a sweat."

Guillermo flashed a smile towards Nandor, fangs shining in the moonlight. "Wanna work up another one?"

Nandor blushed, "I... I..."

Guillermo took a step forward, "I....? What?"

Nandor said shakily, looking back to the empty parking lot. "What if somebody sees us?"

Guillermo took another step forward, lifting his cigarette to his lips, "No one's around. And I can... feel it. Coming off of you. The sweet smell of curiosity. It's alright. I won't tell your wife."

"How do you know about my wi--" Nandor blinked with surprise as the boy stepped into his space.

The cigarette flung against the brick wall, tossed carelessly by the vampire as he made advances on his pretty prey. Hands free, Guillermo laid his palms on Nandor's thick burly chest. His heart beat strong and proud under the vampire's cold hands. The vampire kept feeling. His hands fell and rose with his chest as Nandor breathed under him. His fingers curled softly into the fabric. "Lower that beautiful face for me, big boy."

The human bent at the waist and shoulders, obeying his new command without question. Guillermo didn't even have to use hypnosis. When they were finally eye-to-eye, close enough to kill, Nandor let the young man touch his face. Cold hands with long nails fell to his bearded jaw, thumbs pressing gently against his high cheekbones. Guillermo marveled with bated breath, "Are you still curious?"

"Yes." Nandor whispered.

"I can fix that."

Nandor closed the space between them with a tilt of his chin. He moved quickly from standing still to kissing the vampire boy breathless against the brick wall. Hmm. That wasn't the plan. But it sure made things easier.

The human panted with lust, grabbing at Guillermo's curves with big greedy hands. He kissed him like he'd known him for years. Like their bodies were old friends, magnets, meeting up after too much time apart. He was passionate. Much more than the vampire was ready for. Guillermo melted into his touch like a snowman in July. Who says he can't play with his food?

Guillermo kissed him back hard, bricks digging into his shoulders as the human pushed. Nandor stopped kissing him to look over his shoulder again. His eyes scanned the empty parking lot meticulously. Oh. He was afraid. But not of Guillermo.

The vampire touched his face again, steering his attention back to him, "What's wrong?"

"Just making sure we're alone." Nandor shook his head and pulled Guillermo in for another kiss as if nothing happened.

Guillermo rolled his eyes, "Scared of a little homophobia?"

Nandor pushed Guillermo's chest hard, pointing at him roughly, "This is serious. There are people out there that want to hurt us. Really hurt us. The last guy I hooked up with was just found in a dumpster. And my high school boyfriend is rotting in a hospital bed while the doctors do nothing. Don't you dare make fun of that."

Guillermo quieted. He's been a vampire so long, danger means nothing to him. Guillermo fears no man or weapon or disease. He didn't know what this human had been through. How defenseless he felt against a world that hated him so much. Nandor had to hide who he was every day of his life. And it's not his fault. Guillermo said sincerely, "I'm sorry. I'm just kind of horny right now. I wasn't thinking."

The human stood firm, folding his arms, "You weren't."

"Wanna keep hooking up, or did I just blow it?"

Nandor stared at him for a second, long and hard. Guillermo gulped. But he waited patiently for the human to express himself.

"Get your sexy ass over here."

The vampire reached out and pulled him in. They kissed once, twice more deeply against the brick alley wall, arms winding around shoulders and hips. Nandor picked him up by his waist, shoving his knee into the wall, commanding, "Sit."

He didn't have to tell Guillermo twice. Sitting on Nandor's strong thigh, wrapped in his arms, feeling his warmth, kissing him under the moonlight felt too right to pass up. Maybe he can keep him. Just for a little while...

The taller man was no longer bending down and straining his neck to be close to this beautiful monster. He didn't have to. They were eye to eye now. Guillermo kissed into that beard like it was the last time. Because it was. His fangs itched. The human tongue pushed behind his teeth and he tasted that first drop of blood.

There's no keeping this.

It's time. This poor man has to die.

Guillermo pressed soft kisses against his lips, his cheek, his jaw, and finally his neck. A vein stuck out large and full, blood rushing to the surface as Nandor's beautiful tanned skin flushed with passion. Guillermo kissed his Adam's apple reverently, lips sliding up his neck before he opened his mouth wide for the kill.

His razor sharp fangs sunk deeply into Nandor's skin, ripping into his flesh like a piece of meat. Blood poured into his mouth burning hot like molten lava. The perfect bite.

The human hissed out in pain as Guillermo wrapped his lips around the wound and drank. He was right. Nandor tasted absolutely delicious. His blood danced on his tongue, richer than anything he's ever tasted. It drizzled down his lips and cheeks. Guillermo licked up every drop. His eyes turned a bright jaundiced yellow, body quivering as the beast took over. He feasted on the man's neck, holding on tight as he sucked the life out of him.

Nandor squirmed against the bite, his voice came out soft and betrayed. "Ahh.... why...."

Guillermo stopped drinking, moving from his neck. Blood dripped from his lips as he answered, "You're not innocent. You lie. Manipulate. You're cruel. You're a cheater. A heartbreaker. And I, Guillermo the Brutal, sentence you. To death."

"Well fuck you too--- ow!!!" Nandor slapped a hand against his neck as he stared at the vampire's lips. "Wh-what did you do?? D-did you just bite me and drink my bloo--"

The vampire rolled his eyes and grabbed the human again for a second bite. Clearly he doesn't understand what's going on here. Hot and dumb. The best combo.

Nandor gasped out against another deep bite, "Stop. Doing. That!" He swatted at the back of Guillermo's head. "Fucking guy!"

"Why?" Guillermo asked, "You taste like heaven."

"I'm not trying to go to heaven, man!"

"Well, I'm trying to eat. One of us is getting his way and it's not going to be you. Sorry, sweetheart. No hard feelings."

"Screw you, Judas!!" Nandor tried pushing the vampire off, but he was no match for Guillermo's superhuman strength. Guillermo began to fly, lifting their bodies higher and higher until they floated above the alley way, drinking his fill while the human flailed around reaching for the ground.

He begged unsuccessfully for his life, growing weaker and weaker as the blood drained from his neck. Within moments he was a hairsbreadth away from dying. Eyes bleary and weak, he held onto the vampire's hand. He was about to cross over into the afterlife fifty feet above the ground.

Then, he heard a soft masculine voice say, "Dammit."

Guillermo lowered him to the ground, guilt filling his gut in a way it shouldn't. Nandor was the most delicious meal he'd ever had. His blood was perfect. And now it's almost all gone. He laid Nandor's pretty body down on the dirty alley, looking at his handiwork. Multiple bites, blood everywhere, hair knotted, gym clothes stained and wrinkled. He made a beautiful corpse.

But, somehow, the whole pale and lifeless thing also worked for him. He would make an even more beautiful vampire than he would a corpse. Nandor was naturally tall, broad shouldered, with hooded brows, dark hair, and brooding features. Guillermo couldn't help but imagine him chasing young men and women to their bitter ends. With the legendary Guillermo the Brutal watching over him as his sire, of course.

Guillermo tapped his foot as he considered it. Saving him. He had yet to give his gift to anyone. In all his years he never had the urge. But now. Something is pulling at him in this alley. He doesn't think he can let this one die. Grief is already ripping at his cold dead heart. He would mourn him. This Nandor. Weeks of stalking and hiding and watching stirred something up in him. Something he wasn't expecting. And now...

Nandor lay motionless on the ground, eyes frozen staring at the moon.

He's never going to see the light of day again.

Guillermo bit his own hand, wincing as he tore his own skin for a man he barely knew. He knelt to the ground. Right beside Nandor's beautiful bearded face. He kissed his cold forehead softly. Then he placed his wounded hand against his lips. Blood flowed from vampire to human, dripping into his dying mouth.

It took time. He was barely clinging to life as it is. But eventually, Guillermo felt it. A warm tongue pressed against his bloody palm. Guillermo smiled. He's drinking.

Nandor's large hands grabbed onto his arm keeping him in place, arms strong as steel. He drank deeply from Guillermo, eyes closed, thirstier than he's ever been. A tear fell from his closed eye as he reveled in his first sip. Guillermo petted Nandor's long dark hair gently. "That's good. Drink as much as you need. It's alright. I'm here. Don't cry. Take whatever you want. I won't judge you anymore. I should have never done it in the first place. From this night forward, you won't ever need to be scared again. I promise. You're safe. You're safe with me."

The human stopped drinking. He gazed up into Guillermo's eyes. They were both staring back at each other, yellow glowing eyes brightening up the alley. Nandor's voice came out rough and dry, "Did I hurt you... am I... what am I feeling?"

"You're immortal now, Nandor."

"I am?"

Guillermo started to smile, "Yeah. And you're so powerful, so relentless... you wouldn't let me kill you."

Nandor shrugged, "Well, we didn't finish hooking up, so--"

The vampire started to laugh.

Nandor gazed up past Guillermo's head, looking at the moon. His eyes fixed on it. "I used to be scared at night. But I feel like... I feel like I belong here now."

"You do. You will never have to be scared of the dark ever again. The moon and the stars are yours now." Guillermo raised his chin, taking on his newfound responsibility with honor. "I'm your sire. I'll teach you how to use your gifts. I'll teach you how to fight. How to eat. How to stay alive. And then, I'll teach you how to truly live."

Nandor reached for Guillermo's glasses, fixing them on his face. "Do I belong to you?"

"No. You belong to yourself now." Guillermo smiled, "I'm just the one who gets to show you how."
