“If I win, you have to ask Pope out.” Jughead said, already a little tipsy.
“And if I win you have to ask out Archie.” JJ agreed.
“Ok deal” Jughead said, shaking JJs hand.
“May the best man win.” JJ said, winking before shouting go and they both started downing their shots.
“god this shit is strong.” Jughead yelled over the pounding music.
They kept downing their shots
“Done” JJ said, slamming his glass on the bar and catching his breath while Jughead looks defeated but delighted to finally have an excuse to ask Archie out. He's been waiting for this day as long as he can remember and it’s finally here.
“Jug, let's go now before you back out of asking him out tonight!”JJ exclaims
Jughead is so nervous (and drunk) that JJ has to practically drag him to the boat to go over to Archie’s so Jug finally gets his chance to ask him out.
They finally made it to Archie’s house and knocked on the door
"Hey Jug, what are you doing here so late?" Archie said, opening the door, "and who's this friend you got with you?".
"I'm JJ, and I think I'm gonna go take a walk and I'll let Jug tell you why he’s here" JJ explained before walking off into the distance
"That dick, he said he'd be here for moral support" Jughead thought to himself
"Sooo, what is it you wanted to tell me, Jug?" Archie asked
"I'm gay, Archie"
"No shit Jughead. No offense but you are the gayest bitch in all of Riverdale'' Archie replied, slightly concerned about how glassy Jughead's eyes looked.
"No Archie, I mean," he does the Debby Ryan smirk, "I'm gay for you Archie, ever since that speech you have about the epic highs and lows of high school football, I've known I loved you"
"Oh" is all Archie says
After a pause that felt way too long he continues, "I, uhh, I'm actually dating this guy Pope, from the outer banks now, sorry, I hope we can still be friends”
