Chapter Text
Once upon a time, there was a universe created from billions of smaller universes. The smaller universes that this universe was created from were just normal worlds. No magic. Nothing. Just humans and sometimes elves making villages and building a life together. They made everything themselves without any magical help. Watchers ruled those worlds. These watchers had the magic to control how life went in the billions of worlds they ruled over. Not in a way that they controlled the people, but more in a way that they made sure everything was going alright. In this story, we will be following the life of the character named Scar who will be living an interesting life in multiple universes. When this story starts, he will be 13 years old. His past is unknown, but he grew up with a family in an elven town. When he turned 12, he went out into the world to start his own place. He finds a friend along the way named Lolly. The two of them live together in the same area in peace.
Until…
Chapter 1
‘Right, today is the day’ Scar says to himself. He has his diamond sword hanging on his belt and his bow and arrows on his back. Today he was going to fight a wither. One of the most dangerous creatures in the universe. A wither could be found in a special created wither area made by the watchers. Scar didn’t know about the watchers, but did read about how this wither thing looked. If you fight it you’ll get a special star which would grant him, something. He didn’t yet know what it was but seeing that he loved to collect he needed it for his collection of weird items. Scar leans against the wall of the library. He was just waiting for Lolly to finish getting ready, so she could come with him. Lolly didn’t like the idea of the wither but was more there in case it went wrong. Scar didn’t think it could go wrong though. He had prepared for weeks on what to do and not do when the wither was there. He also was aware if he would do it wrong he would most likely die, but he didn’t like to think about that bit. Scar was a good fighter and had always kept looking for harder challenges to battle against. Lolly came out of the house all prepared. She had splash potions of healing with her just in case. Both of them weren’t worried about it, but it was better to be prepared. ‘Hey Scar!’ Lolly greets Scar. ‘Good morning Lolly!’ Scar says and hugs his friend. They both smile. ‘Ready?’ Lolly asks. ‘Always have been!’ Scar says. They laugh as they start walking off to the mine.
They get down to the bottom of the mine and walk into a smaller hallway that Scar had created. They reach the wither room and Lolly stops walking. Scar notices and turns around. ‘Do you want to wait here? That’s fine with me’ Scar says. Lolly nervously nods. ‘Yeah, I’ll watch from afar.’ She says. Scar smiles at his friend and then turns back around to walk the last bit to the wither room. As soon as he enters, he feels the weird electrical feeling he felt when he first came here. He decides to ignore it for now. Scar grabs his bow from his back, including 2 arrows, and puts his sword in a spot where he could instantly use it. He nervously takes a breath in and out. The button in front of him would spawn this wither creature. ‘Right, here goes nothing’ Scar softly mumbles. He takes a step back and puts an arrow on the bow. He stretches the arrow back and lets it go. Right onto the button. A mysterious mist comes out of the floor. Scar anxiously watches as the wither arises from the mist. He puts his second arrow onto the bow and shoots at the creature. It hits. Exactly in the middle of one of the heads. The wither turns to Scar and you can see the anger in its eyes. It was quite creepy. Scar quickly grabs another arrow and shoots into the eye of the middle head. The creature instantly attacks back and Scar dodges the attack with ease. So far everything was going well
After a couple of dodges and arrows back and forward the Wither started getting quite close to Scar. Scar backed off but noticed the wall nearing. Shoot, he thinks. Thinking quickly under pressure wasn’t one of his strongest points. The Wither interrupts Scar’s thoughts with another skull hitting the wall. Scar noticed a flaw in the exploding heads.
They only exploded against a solid wall.
Scar quickly pulls out his sword and holds it in front of himself. ‘Go on! Shoot!’ He says with full confidence. The Wither attacks and Scar holds his sword in front of him like a baseball bat. He knew what he was doing would be dangerous, but he didn’t have enough time to think about that. As the skull came close to Scar, he slammed his sword against the head making it shoot back at the monster. It hit the creature throwing the most left of the three heads off. ‘Gotcha’ Scar says with a smile.
The battle continues and the two keep circling around each other. The wither was out of balance because of the missing head and had to stay low to the ground. It didn’t make it a lot easier since it meant Scar couldn’t just bow it down anymore. Constantly hitting the heads with his sword would have a chance of the sword breaking which wouldn’t be ideal. So Scar was going to have to come up with a new idea. ‘Even though I can’t hit it back anymore, I could make it explode himself’ Scar says to himself. He slowly started planning out the way to go while continuing to dodge the heads. He was going to have to surprise the thing to make it work. After circling around a couple more times and having the Wither as much in the center as possible Scar goes for it. He runs towards the other end of the room making the Wither have to turn around. It quickly shoots a head and Scar jumps to the side to dodge it but...
That would be too easy, wouldn’t it?
Scar's idea was that once the wither shot the head he would jump to the side dodging the head which would hit the Wither instead. But in the quick movement, the Wither shoots at a slight angle
Hitting Scar right on his chest.
Scar gets shot back by the wither against a wall of the mine and feels blood on his chest. ‘Ah, lovely now I’m going to die as well, and I won't even beat this thing’ He mumbles. He gets up and sees that by shooting him against the wall the wither also got damaged, only leaving one head left. With the last bit of his power, Scar grabs his sword from the floor and throws it to the wither. He closes his eyes ‘Please hit, please hit, please hit’ He hears a scream and then silence. He opens his eyes to see that the wither was gone. Scar drops to the floor and gasps for air. ‘LOLLY, HE-help...’ He tries to yell.
A couple of meters away from the room, Lolly was waiting for Scar to finish the fight, she hears him yell and instantly sprints the way to the room. Lolly enters and gasps when she sees her friend on the floor bleeding. ‘At least we got the star’ Scar softly says in pain. He opens his palm, showing the star. ‘Scar you idiot, you are going to die if I don’t help you right now.’ Lolly says. Scar smiles. ‘It- is- fi-ne’ he says as he tries to stand up. ‘Clearly not’ Lolly replies and helps her friend get up. She picks up Scar's bow and sword and they walk out of the mines. They go up the stairs to the village, and down into the cave house that they have together. Lolly puts Scar down on the bed. Back against the wall. She pulls his sweater over his head to see the bloody mess underneath. ‘Oh gosh Scar what happened’ She asks while she pours a splash potion of healing on her friend. ‘I ran the wrong way and it hit me against the wall right on my chest’ Scar says while he watches his friend treat the wound. He sees that Lolly had tears in her eyes. ‘You aren’t going to die are you’ She asks looking into Scar's eyes. Scar softly smiles ‘Never’ he says. Lolly softly laughs through her tears. ‘You are such an idiot.’ She says and looks back at the wound. The skin around the wound was turning black. As much as Lolly wanted to believe Scar's confidence that nothing was wrong, this wasn’t something that would only leave a scar. This. Was going to stay forever.
As Lolly and Scar were figuring out their situation down below, High up in the sky higher than anyone has seen before. Were three watchers. Watching the scene.
‘And what you see happen there is what we don’t allow’ Crown says. She had taken her two watcher children to watch a wither fight in a human world. ‘Why?’ Black diamond asks. Black diamond is the oldest twin of the two. The slightly younger sister was called Emerald. Even though they were twins they looked and were nothing like each other. Black Diamond wanted to rule just like her parents while Emerald was more about caring for the humans and making sure they survive and have fun instead of following some stupid rules. ‘Well, The wither is meant to be the hardest possible thing in their world, and not meant to be taken on together.’ Crown says to Black diamond. ‘But the other girl only came when the fight was done! She didn’t even help!’ Emerald says. Crown looks at Emerald through her mask. ‘She helped him treat his wounds while he deserved to die since he failed.’ She says. ‘Isn’t our goal to protect them? Then why would it be fair to let them die?’ Emerald says. You could hear that Emerald did not agree with this rule. ‘It’s for their own good.’ Crown replies. ‘Well, what now?’ Black Diamond asks. ‘We erase their memories’ Crown says as they get out their staff. ‘What?! Why that?’ Emerald asks in shock. She didn’t understand that humans needed to be punished if they didn’t even know the rules. ‘Leave you two, you’ve seen enough’ Crown says as they prepare the spell. Black Diamond leaves and Emerald even though frustrated follows.
“Right now to deal with these two…”
