When freshly divorced and newly out novelist Stede Bonnet texts Ed Teach, a Hollywood infamous stuntman and weapons specialist, for sword-fighting lessons, sparks between them fly despite (or perhaps because of) the accidental vulnerability shared. Once Stede returns from a poorly timed vacation, watch them (and their friends) engage in shenanigans as a way to process the new and very real feelings they have about themselves and each other, both men possessing what's needed to help the other learn to love himself and let go of the past.
A slow-burn set in a short time span, featuring a strip club, a karaoke bar, and some of the best bad decisions these characters will ever make. Who gets what pierced?
