Work Text:
Shall I Compare Thee to a Candy Bar?
Shall I compare thee to a candy bar,
Which hides that precious center, oh, so sweet?
Though bitterness guards thy kind heart, by far,
Thou hast proven to make me feel complete.
A Snickers bar could not satisfy me
As a small, tender moment with thee could,
And if someone offered me a Hershey,
I would refuse, for thou art far more good.
A fun-sized candy bar can not compare
To the richness of thy voice when thoust sings.
Oh, to hear a voice so clear and so fair,
I would gladly miss out on anything.
My love, my dear, oh gentle wond’rous soul,
Forever thy virtues I shall extol.
