Kix huffed as he sat down across from Imerreth in the mess. "How do I get my general to drink more water and actually kriffing hydrate himself?"
Imerreth turned her helmet on him in that mildly disappointed air that all ori'vode had perfected. "We're half Tusken," she pointed out.
"Yes?" Kix asked, confused.
Imerreth sighed. "Sand People are a near-human but not human desert species who evolved to survive on minimal nourishment. Our ideal habitat is a sand lizard's. Give us a handful of beetles or crickets, a few spritzes of water, and a long afternoon nap each day, and we're perfectly healthy."
Rex set his tray and ass down next to Kix. "What I'm hearing is permission to spray my general in the face with water every time he does something stupid."
Imerreth chuckled. "Absolutely," she agreed. "If he and I have the same traits, he'll absorb at least a little of it. I also get the sense Anakin does a lot of stupid things and that reining him in is a full time job. You need every advantage you can get."
"You don't know the half of it," Rex grumbled.
Kix cleared his throat. "New question," he said. "How do I get my general to take a nap?"
"Tranqs work wonders," Rex suggested.
Imerreth threw her head back and laughed, loud and long.
