Summary
The sight of her face slices open Takina’s heart, bleeding red all over the blue of the aquarium. Glimmers of light and glassy reflections mix with the fishbowl blur of her vision. This has become—has always been—a person she cares for. Her best friend. No one other than Chisato.
Or: Takina and Chisato need to chase down a mischievous cat to fix their broken AC unit. In the thick of the summer, Takina finds that her feelings for Chisato go deeper than words could ever reach.

IT'S THE SUMMER OF YOUR YOUTH AND YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND
Top three lycoreco fic's of all time. Essentially if the feeling and scenery of summer was captured into a bottle and translated into 10k words of lesbian pining and feelings. It's so beautiful and written SO vividly that it makes your bones ache in a way where you can feel the heat of the pulsing Tokyo sun seep into your skin underneath your clothes, smell the way the chlorine of the pool follows you as you run around it, and picture the way the glass of the aquarium bends and warps light and the faces reflected on it. I aspire to write like this some day
