Jango... Jango was beginning to expect it. Sadly.

Summary:

"Shaak."

"Plo."

Shaak looked at Plo, Plo looked back at her with a serious and impassive air.

Jango was in the middle.

"So, can I kill her?"

"Who is the midget?" asked the Togruta.

"The MID-"

"This is my husband, Jango Fett. Come my dear, I'll introduce you to the young ones, I know how much you like to supervise the education of the children at the Temple."

And just like that, Jango stood still as another Jedi came into his life and, he already knew, would leave as the mother of several of his clones. Plo just seemed to have a knack for being the perfect Buir or friend to people his clones thought were perfect.

It was getting ridiculous.

Work Text:

     - Shaak.

     - Plo.

Shaak looked at Plo, Plo looked back at her with a serious and impassive air.

   Jango was in the middle.

     - So, can I kill her?

     - "Who is the midget?" asked the Togruta.

     - The MID-

     - This is my husband, Jango Fett. Come my dear, I'll introduce you to the young ones, I know how much you like to supervise the education of the children at the Temple.

And just like that, Jango stood still as another Jedi came into his life and, he already knew, would leave as the mother of several of his clones. Plo just seemed to have a knack for being the perfect Buir or friend to people his clones thought were perfect.

   It was getting ridiculous.

And, as expected, the kids loved Shaak Ti, and they were all positively enchanted by the pretty red woman's big Montrals.

And Plo was very enthusiastic, introducing her friend with a lot of amazing stories that made just about everyone's eyes light up, even Kal looked at the Togruta with reluctant interest.

Jango laughed as he saw how the Nulls looked at the woman with suspicion. Finally people who weren't going to be convinced by a handsome, enthusiastic Jedi. One of them noticed the look on Jango's face and gave him a murderous look in return. Fuck, they still hated him so much, it wasn't easy to make people like him. Especially since they had his DNA and probably his general distrust too.

     - Master Yaddle has to come, she's going to love this place!

     - What a wonderful idea, Shaak!

Plo had decided to make Kamino an unofficial adoption centre, that was obvious, but from what little Jango had understood of Plo, Jango had realised that it would be better for him to pretend he hadn't seen anything.

It was that this Kel Dor was far more devious and resilient than anyone could suspect, Jango still found it hard to believe that the Jedi had defeated him in single combat when he had attacked him in his sleep. Maybe he'd fallen in love then, well, as much as he was capable of feeling some form of love at first sight for someone.

And Plo was good with Boba. Jango had tried his best to be a good father to Boba, but he wasn't always sure he had succeeded, and Plo was wonderful. The Kel Dor had a gentle and effective teaching style and he was so... kind. His constant kindness calmed something in Jango that he didn't know was in distress.

He couldn't even resist attempts at tactile reassurance anymore, it felt good and Plo was sincerely offering it, why would he say no?

     - "That's awfully convenient, your padding," the Jedi hummed happily into his neck as he pressed more firmly against his armour. "I don't have to worry about hurting you like this."

     - "You wouldn't hurt me even if I didn't," Jango growled.

Plo nodded without answering, but as he seemed satisfied that Plo didn't want to hurt him, Jango remained silent as well.

He fell asleep, sitting on the large alien, and woke up to the sound of his husband's voice and startled by the large, stern Korun towering over him.

     - Mace! My friend, welcome back, I have missed you greatly!

Damn it, Jango was going to have to dynamite the Jedi Temple on Coruscant if he wanted to preserve his way of life, there was no other way.
