Work Text:
Oh, he was shaking so much.
When his mother had asked Reki to do some paperwork at a store on the other side of town, Reki hadn't expected it to start raining.
He hadn't brought his skateboard; he spent the night at Langa's house yesterday, and when Langa brought him home on his motorcycle this morning, he forgot his skateboard at the Hasegawa's house. Not that it was that big of a problem, since they'd planned to go out tonight, and so Langa would take his skateboard along with him. He also didn't have an umbrella, because no place had reported any rain for today.
Well, some plans never work out. It was raining now, and they couldn't go out at night, because the streets would probably be all wet.
Well, that wasn't the problem; what mattered to Reki now was getting home. Because this rain — was it a rain?! — crashed over the entire city, thick, heavy drops falling on everything they saw.
And well, Reki was in that game too.
Could he have waited somewhere until the rain stopped? Of course yes. But the Reki of the past hadn't thought of that, just "if I run, I'll be on time".
Kyan also forgot that his warm walk across town had taken much longer than half an hour.
He had actually been half-enchanted with the city. He didn't walk that much for those bands, and usually when he skated, he didn't pay much attention to things.
But walking like this? It was almost peaceful. He walked through the streets, eyeing the entrances of houses with curiosity, and lost track of time. That was his worst mistake, because if he had thought to wait somewhere when the rain started to fall, he wouldn't be in the situation he's in now.
Well, too late.
His clothes were soaked, and trying to talk to someone on the phone was impossible, since probably if he took his cell phone out of the only driest place he had, it would probably stop working or something. He didn't want to risk it.
He passes through a residential neighborhood, so he didn't really have anywhere to hide.
It wasn't too long ago that his body had started protesting him, shivering in the cold as more water poured down on him. His teeth chattered against each other repeatedly, and his hands were so cold they barely functioned.
With his vision blurred, because of the water that fell in almost waterfalls, he couldn't see where he was going. He just followed the ground where he knew he'd walked today, watching the ground change color to at least know where he was going. Not that it helped that much, because the colors changed when they were wet.
The curbs of the street flowed with water, now almost overflowing out of the streets and onto the sidewalks. In a vague thought, Reki wondered if the situation could get any worse than this.
After more time walking, he came to the conclusion that he was going around in circles. He's seen that same tile about three times, and if he kept it up, he'd walk many more times.
He tries to look straight ahead, his lashes barely shielding his eyes from the water, trying in vain to look through the rain. But nothing. He saw only gray, from the clouds that covered the sky not so long ago, and rainwater.
There were no rays. Which was a relief, because Reki had never liked them, so in his growing lack of reaction, he would probably stop walking instead of continuing.
Not that he was that different now. His body, heavy with everything that fell on his head, now walked much more slowly than before. The water chilled him to the bone, making his shivering worse. Reki wraps his arms around himself, but it's no use.
Damn Reki, he curses himself, because he was having one of the worst moments of his life, and he couldn't do anything about it.
He has just come off one of the sidewalks, going onto the flooded street, and thinks that if the current were strong enough, he would fall. And then that was the end of him, because if he decided to sit up now, or fall, or anything like that, he didn't know if he was going to be able to get up. Probably not.
He happily passes down the street, back onto another sidewalk that has less water, and keeps walking.
He wanted to know what time it was. Would his mother worry about him? Maybe she thought her son wasn't dumb enough to get out of whatever place he was before the rain stopped. Maybe she was calm, thinking her son was dry and safe, but Reki wasn't.
Reki curses himself. So much. Every step he takes is a lamentation, every step he takes is two blinks against the rain. With each step he takes, his body trembles more and more, to the point of being half numb.
If Reki stopped now, for some unfortunate reason, it wouldn't continue. Reki knew that with all the rest of the certainty he had.
One wrong step; Reki almost slips. He sighs, and finds that getting that icy air into his lungs is getting harder and harder.
What would happen to him if he just lay there in the rain? Not good, he guessed. So if he didn't want to pass out in the rain, he'd have to walk more. Even when his legs were giving out under him.
The more blocks he passes, he doesn't really see much, but he sees that he's at least left the residential neighborhood he was in before. It was nice information, he figured, because maybe it indicated he was getting closer to home.
Not that he could tell which way his house was. And when he realizes the proportions of his own words, he regrets more — how would he ever get out of the rain if he didn't even know how to get home?
Maybe he should go into one of the stores and wait for the rain to stop. But he was already so soaked, it wouldn't make any difference. Being soaked in one dry and one wet place wasn't making that much of a difference. In the current situation, it is.
But then his body was really failing him. His knees, his feet, seemed to be rusty, more and more ceasing to function. Until taking a step was so bad. So terrible, this situation of his. He could no longer walk straight.
Suddenly; he recognizes a light. At first he doesn't really know what, but then he connects the dots: He was walking down the same street as Joe's restaurant.
His body shook more violently than ever, screaming for Reki to stop there. So that he wouldn't continue. So that he could collapse to the ground in peace.
In such a broken state of mind with the rain all around him, he doesn't think long before directing his careless footsteps to the restaurant.
He's not sure what happened after that.
———
Joe was at the restaurant, getting ready to close. In a rain like this, he sure as hell wouldn't have customers. Nobody was crazy to go out in such a rain, even in a car, just to eat at a restaurant.
He didn't expect, however, to hear the restaurant door open. Turning around, he is faced with the last thing he expected to see: Reki.
"Reki?" Joe says, startled, dropping whatever was in his hand to go to the boy.
Joe arrives just in time, before the redhead's body gives up; Joe helps him sit on one of the walls.
"Reki" Joe says again, wanting to see how alert the boy was. Which didn't seem like much, as Reki didn't even look at him. The redhead only shivered more. "Can you hear me?"
"J-Joe…" says Reki, somehow speaking, even with his teeth chattering so much. "I-I want to… to- go home…" The redhead mutters, deliriously, clearly beside himself.
And he keeps talking. "I… M-sorry…" Reki sighs, and Joe doesn't have as much time to try to talk to the delusional boy, because the amber eyes were closing.
"Boy! Hey, don't pass out!" Says Joe, in a failed attempt to keep the boy awake, but he gets no results. The amber eyes open, widening for a second as they look at Joe, but then give up, the glassy, empty gaze hiding behind his wet lashes, completely losing consciousness.
Joe needed to do something. The problem was, he was never good with these things.
Cursing, because he couldn't even help someone who was so bad, he runs to the back of the restaurant, which conveniently had a room — their group used to watch movies. This, while pulling out her cell phone, calling the best person that came to mind.
The call takes a while to be answered, Joe almost giving up, but the line starts ticking. "Hey stupid gorilla" says Kaoru, looking a little annoyed. "Calling me to pick you up from the rain?" He says sarcastically.
"Kaoru" Joe says, getting straight to the point. "I'm in trouble".
"Kojiro? What is this?" asks the other, looking a little worried now. If Joe wasn't joking, it was because things were bad.
"It's Reki" Joe says. "He… He must have gone out in that rain. I don't know what happened because he stepped into the restaurant and passed out" He says hurriedly, looking at some boxes conveniently placed in the room, looking for dry clothes.
"Reki went out in this rain??" Kaoru asks, startled. “Okay, keep calm. He's soaked, is he? You have to dry him off,” says Cherry, trying to keep calm. Stressing the situation would be bad for everyone.
Joe finally finds decent clothes to put on Reki, and holds them up. He goes after Reki, realizing he should have brought Reki into the room sooner.
He approached the redhead, who showed no sign of life other than his steady breathing. Joe tries to wake him up, shaking him slightly, but nothing.
"Try to make him something hot to drink," says Cherry. "When he wakes up. If he's been in this rain for more than minutes, he's definitely going to get sick, if he's not already."
"Okay. Thanks, Kaoru" Says Joe, as he took off that soaked sweatshirt from Reki. He didn't want to invade Reki's privacy, so if he wanted to change him into dry clothes, he'd have to wake him up, even for 10 seconds.
He tries to shake Reki, harder this time, while calling out to the boy. At first, he barely managed to react, but after at least a minute, the redhead's eyes fluttered open slightly.
"Reki" Says Joe, not that the boy below him answered.
"Reki" Calls Cherry, raising his voice. "Can you hear me?" Questions.
Something must have switched on the redhead, because he looks up, specifically Joe. "...Joe" he sighs, lowering his gaze shortly after.
"Reki, I need you to get out of those wet clothes. I'll help you." He says, trying to sound as clear as possible, and Reki blinks. Does not respond verbally, but nods weakly.
He helps the boy change, putting him in clean clothes, and drying his hair. All this while talking to Cherry. Reki seemed to get more alert when Cherry was on the phone.
Joe takes him into the living room, placing him on the couch. The boy was barely conscious, muttering something from "I want to go home" and "Where is my mother?" weakly.
Joe felt bad. He didn't have contact with anyone at Reki's house, and taking a quick look at the redhead's cell phone, he saw that it was completely off. Maybe Langa had Reki's mother's contact or something, but calling Reki's boyfriend right now wasn't a good thing. Langa worried a lot about Reki, especially after the two started dating.
Maybe when the rain stopped. The moment Reki touched the couch, he fell asleep again, but this time Joe was more relaxed.
"Do you want me to stay on the line?" asks Cherry, that Joe had honestly forgotten the call was on.
"No need. Thanks, Kaoru" Says Kojiro, saying goodbye to Cherry, before the pink one hangs up.
He places the back of his hand on Reki's head, which didn't indicate he had a fever yet. He didn't know if that was good or bad, but the boy seemed to be at peace now, breathing normally, so he'd leave that to worry about later.
Joe covers Reki with a blanket, which the redhead unconsciously thanks, pulling it closer to him. Satisfied with the arrangement, Joe leaves to grab something to eat when Reki wakes up.
———
Reki was on fire.
Not like, literally, but he was. He opened his eyes, which by the way were quite heavy, and looked around.
He took a few seconds, but then recognized the room. It was the same one at Joe's restaurant, where they always watched movies. But that logic didn't add up; what was he doing there?
Reki tries to sit up, but when he leans on his arms to do so, they can't support his weight, causing him to fall down again. It was kind of frustrating. He was sick?
After a serious discussion with his body, he sat up, taking a better look around. He notices that he wasn't in his clothes, and that his hair looked a little wet. Reki didn't like falling asleep with wet hair.
Whistling softly, he wonders a second time how he got there. He barely remembered things, but he remembered the rain.
He shivered at the memory. It was raining terribly to be on the street. Maybe he had passed out, and someone had brought him inside? It seemed kind of impossible, but…
"Reki?" He hears someone's voice, and turning around enough, sees it's Joe.
"Joe?" He says, and well, It was kind of hard to talk. He blinks, confused. "How did I get here? I… I don't remember" He mutters.
"Oh boy" Joe says, relief in his voice. "You were in the rain, remember that? And you walked into the restaurant. You walked in, and passed out" explains Joe.
Reki didn't remember the part about entering the restaurant. He only remembered walking through the rain, which had no end. And then, he would turn the blocks, and walk in circles…
"Thanks for saving me" Says Reki. "I almost couldn't get out of the rain" He says, a little embarrassed, because a rain, no matter how bad, shouldn't have done to him what it did.
Joe fervently shakes his head. "I thank God you walked into the restaurant, kid. Things could have turned bad for you."
"Are you hungry? I have some toast, tea too. But this one I'll have to warm up, as I made it a few hours ago…"
"Could be" Reki says softly. His stomach clenched a little, maybe because it was empty, or because he didn't want food. Regardless of the cases, he wanted something to eat.
He tries to get up; but moving his legs was difficult enough, so he gave up moving any more.
"I can't get up" Reki says, blushing in embarrassment.
"No problem, I'll get the stuff for you. Stay there," Joe says, adding that it would probably take a few minutes, and leaves the room.
Reki leans his head against the back of the sofa, sweetly waiting for Joe to return. He wondered if his family was okay. What happened to Koyomi? When he'd been out in the rain earlier, she'd been taking extracurricular classes. He prayed the rain hadn't caught her.
He wondered how the others were doing too. Was Miya taking classes? He didn't keep up with the other's study schedule. And Langa? He didn't know what the blue one was doing when he left the house.
Brooding over those anxious feelings, Joe returned to the living room. In one hand, a plate of toast and cheese, and in the other, a mug of tea.
Reki takes the mug, heat bleeding into his hands, and that was really cool. Cool, better than this heat that was radiating from him. It looked like he was going to overheat.
"Thank you" He exhales, before inhaling the tea. It was chamomile. "How are the others?" Reki asks.
"Kaoru and Miya are fine" Says Joe. "Shadow was working when the rain came, so he stayed put until the rain stopped. Langa is fine, and was wanting to hear from you," he says. And then the other looks at Reki curiously. "Why the hell did you go out in the rain?"
Reki blushes more. "I… when the rain started to fall, I thought I could make it home in time. But I was on the other side of town." He sighs, trying to take a sip of his tea. Too hot, still.
Kojiro is horrified. "Across town?? Boy, you could have come out a lot worse than you are" It's Joe's turn to sigh. "I'm glad you're okay, kid" He says.
"Thank you" Reki says, having nothing more to say. He eats one of the toast, and finally takes a sip of his tea.
"Langa was asking about you" Nanjo repeats. "Can I give him news about you? I didn't tell you before because he would be worried about you, and you wouldn't even be awake."
"Hmm? Yes you can. I want to talk to him" Reki says, nodding, while taking more sips of his tea. Making his boyfriend worry about him was kind of sad, but they'd talked about it before. After they started dating, they were much more open with their feelings, even though it was difficult, especially for Reki. But they soon improved their communication skills, and it became much easier to make it clear what was bothering one or the other.
"Alright then," Joe says, pulling out his cell phone, and calling Langa.
The other doesn't take long to respond. "Joe? What is it?"
"You wanted news from Reki" Joe says carefully. "And I have them."
Joe quickly explains to Langa that Reki was caught in the rain, and before Langa could despair any further, Joe says that the boy was awake, ready to talk to him too.
"Reki!" Langa says, his voice sounding scared. "I was so worried. I went after you when the rain stopped, you weren't home. I texted you, and everyone else, but nobody knew" He exhales, but just knowing that Reki was awake and responding already soothed his anxious heart.
"I'm fine, Langa. Not so much, because I probably caught a fever, but I'm fine now." He calms his boyfriend down, saying a number of more things that he was cool.
Even with him and Langa reaching a consensus, the Hasegawa still wanted to see how Reki was doing. Kyan, scared because he didn't want the other to go out on the streets, denied it. Joe calmed him down, however.
"The rain is over, Reki. The streets are good for traffic now" assures Joe. "Langa can come".
Reki gives in, because why not, and it doesn't take more than 10 minutes for Langa to arrive.
"Reki!" He says, looking happy to see his boyfriend okay. He walks around the couch, and sits down next to Reki, not knowing how cool Reki was with physical contact.
But Reki pulls him into a hug, placing a tender kiss on his cheek, so everything would be cool. Langa hugs him back, fondly stroking his red hair.
Reki yawns. Even though he was much better than when he woke up, he was still tired, and also very hot.
He snuggled against Langa, the other's cool skin doing wonders for Reki. Langa looks half worriedly at Reki.
"You're burning, Reki" He says carefully. Reki agrees, because he himself knew better than anyone that he was feverish. The redhead grumbles.
"If I sleep, I think it will pass…" He mutters, closing his eyes.
"I think you should go home, Reki" says Joe. "Surely you want to go home after spending the day on the street, and you need to take a shower" Which wasn't a lie. He was probably still dirty from whatever had passed him in the rain, and probably half of them weren't pleasant.
"...Okay" He yawns. "But how do I get home?"
"I'll take you" says Langa, determined. "I came by motorcycle, I can take you with it" He concluded.
"Okay" Reki smiles.
Reki sits down to get up again, but finds it quite difficult. His legs ached, burned, almost, maybe because they had supported Reki's weight until they couldn't take it anymore. Langa helps him walk, and the two shuffle to the front of the restaurant.
Even without rain outside, Reki hesitates at the door. He didn't want to go outside ever again. And then something crosses your mind.
"Where are my clothes?" He asks Joe.
Something passes in the chef's eyes. "Oh, they're all wet. I don't know if you remember, but I woke you up for a few minutes to put you in dry clothes," he declares. It made sense, since staying in wet clothes would only make things worse.
"Right. And my cell phone?" question.
"Probably dead" says Joe, with a frown. "I tried to turn it on, to contact your family members, but he didn't call."
Reki sighs. "Makes sense. I don't think anything came out dry from that rain."
Joe hands him his cell phone in the same way, and he and Langa head outside, Langa handing Reki a helmet.
The two leave for Reki's house, the redhead almost falling asleep on Langa's back, not sleeping because of the blue one's murmurs for him not to.
They arrive in front of the Kyan's house, Langa helping Reki off the motorcycle, and the two make their way to the door of the house.
When they open the door, Masae hurries out of the kitchen. "Dear!!" She says frantically, taking a good look at Reki. "What happened? Did you get caught in the rain? I didn't want you to leave in that weather, love. I'm sorry. How are you?" She says, placing her hand on Reki's forehead.
Her hand was cold, and Reki loved it. "I kind of got caught in the rain, yeah."
Langa quickly explains what happened, Reki giving the details, and Masae looks so worried. Upset, even, for making her dear son walk in such weather.
She apologizes to her son, hugging him, and Reki certainly denies all apologies, as it was entirely his fault. She says no, but he didn't believe her this time.
Langa says he should take a shower, and if possible sleep afterwards. Totally agreeing, he takes a shower, puts on his own warm clothes, and in the end decides to sleep.
His fever didn't get worse, but it didn't get better either, so he didn't know if it was bad or not. He looks at Langa with puppy dog eyes.
"You will stay with me???" he asks, pouting. Langa smiles.
"If you want me to stay, that's fine. But then you'll have to lend me your clothes." He says softly, and Reki readily agrees.
Masae makes them a snack, but only Langa eats it, because Reki's appetite is gone. He'd already eaten something before he left anyway, so no one bothered that much.
"I owe that friend of yours a lot" Says Masae. "Tell him I said thank you."
Reki smiles. "I'll tell Joe, yes."
And then Reki makes his bed, and gets a futon for Langa. They usually slept together, but with him sick, it wasn't very nice. Especially if he passed what he had to Langa as well.
The blue one takes a shower too, and the two finally decide to sleep.
"Man, I'm glad tomorrow is Saturday" Sighs Reki, snuggling into the blankets. He wouldn't leave the house tomorrow, that's for sure.
Langa agrees. "I hope you get better by tomorrow, Reki. I don't like to see you sad and sick" Langa replies, reaching out a little on his futon to stroke Reki's red curls.
The two chat a little, not much, really, because sleep and tiredness from the excessively bad day caught up with Reki quickly. Muttering a quick "good night" to Langa, he falls asleep. Langa does not take long to follow suit, happy that the redhead is relatively well and safe.
———
Well, Reki didn't feel better in the morning.
When he woke up, he felt feverish again. Worse than yesterday, in fact. As if it had just come out of an oven, overheated. His stomach churned in a bad way, and Reki just wanted to yank it out of place, something like that.
Muttering, he stretches out on the bed to grab his cell phone, but gives it up when he remembers that it didn't work. Langa's cell phone was on the side, though, and he taps it to check the time for it.
It was 10 am. He usually never woke up this late, but maybe this time he had an excuse.
He tucks his head into the pillow, not particularly wanting to do anything. But his momentary peace was interrupted when his boyfriend walked through the doorway.
"Hey, love" He says, affectionately. "How are you?".
"Pretty bad" He exhales. Langa frowns but doesn't look too surprised.
"As I imagined. You looked warmer than yesterday when I woke up today" He says worriedly. Reki wasn't even that bad, Langa didn't need to worry.
"Must pass soon" He says. Reki had a strong immune system, after numerous cuts from skateboarding, and it was certain that whatever he had caught would soon pass. For the moment, he just needed sleep.
"Want something to eat? You should take some medicine" suggests Langa. Taking the medicine and getting better was practical, but eating something…
"I don't think I'll be eating anything for a while" mutters Reki, glancing lazily at Langa. "There must be some medicine box in the kitchen, if you want to take a look…"
But Reki doesn't finish his sentence, because Langa nods fervently and leaves the room before he finishes. Half shocked, Reki just waits for Langa to come back. It takes a minute, but there's the blue-eyed boy, holding a glass of water and a packet of pills.
"Here" Hasegawa exhales, approaching Reki. He carefully hands the packet to Reki, which the redhead takes awkwardly to take two pills, and he quickly takes them, followed by water.
His stomach churns again, probably from the water pouring down empty, but it was way better than eating something and possibly throwing up.
"Cool" Reki says quietly, to himself. Langa waves.
"Go back to sleep, love. If not, it'll take longer to get better," Langa says, an affectionate smile on his face, and he reaches out with icy hands to run through Reki's hair. The redhead loved this.
"Can't you lie with me?" He asks, looking pleadingly at the Hasegawa. The other raises an eyebrow at him.
"I thought you didn't want me to get sick" He replies, but at the same time he sits on the bed, continuing his caresses in his red hair. Reki grumbles more.
"It's true. No one to take care of me then" Kyan says dramatically, pretending to sniff and wipe away a tear that doesn't exist. Langa mocks.
"You're such a goof, sweetheart" He says, but before Reki can protest his outrage, Langa settles down on the covers, along with Reki.
The sick boy doesn't complain, buzzing happily as he snuggles up against his boyfriend. He leans his forehead against Langa's shirt, which even warm was still colder than Reki, and wraps his arms around the other's waist. Langa lies on his side, and pulls Reki into a hug.
"Good night" Says Kyan playfully. Langa mumbles a "good morning", and if he said anything else after that, the redhead didn't know, because he fell asleep.
———
Langa wakes up later, too.
Reki didn't move at all as he slept, drooling on his shirt, fully asleep. Langa smiles at the sight. He puts his hand on Reki's forehead, trying to get an idea of Reki's temperature, and it seems to be getting back to normal. He was definitely better than he was earlier.
Not wanting to wake up his boyfriend, he moves slowly, getting out of bed without waking the sleeping redhead. Satisfied with the conquest, he left the room, heading towards the kitchen.
Masae was there, reading a magazine. "Hey Langa dear. How's my boy doing?"
Hasegawa smiles in response. "Reki looks better, but he's still sleeping." It says. Masae smiles too.
"I hope he gets better soon. You know, he doesn't like staying at home when he could be skateboarding with you and your friends," She says, and Langa nods. He forgot to bring Reki's skateboard, but today or tomorrow Reki would have it back.
"He gets really upset when he can't skate," Langa agrees, reaching for a glass of water. He takes it, and after washing the cup (and other things that were in the sink) he decides he should wake Reki up, to get an idea of how the other felt.
But returning to the room, he sees that Reki was already awake. The sick boy was sitting on his bed, looking a little haggard and playing with his hands. When he saw Langa, he was startled.
"Are you still here?" Question, the most illogical question Langa heard today, because he decided he would spend the entire day with Reki. Langa looks at him, confused.
"Of course I'm here, love. Did you think I'd leave?" Langa asks, sitting on the bed next to Reki. The redhead looked a little disturbed, and Langa didn't know how or why.
"I think I had a nightmare" Reki says, embarrassed. "And when I woke up, you weren't here, so…" He doesn't finish the sentence, but Langa gets the gist.
Nightmares. Langa knew that Reki suffered from them when he was under emotional stress, or when something made him very anxious or upset. Some worse than others, Langa did his best to calm Reki of them all.
"I'm here, Reki" Langa says firmly, holding out his arms in case Reki wants a hug. The redhead accepts, but doesn't exactly give Langa a hug, leaving the Hasegawa to do all the work.
"If you want to talk about it" Langa says, leaving it open that he would listen to whatever Reki's nightmare was. The redhead whistles softly.
"I think I was stuck in the rain again. And you… You were with me, but I ended up losing you in the storm" He says, as simply as he can.
That was kind of worrisome. Reki would have a problem with leaving the house for quite a while, it seemed. Especially if it was raining. Langa couldn't have known how the redhead felt, as he'd never been trapped in a rain like this (he's been trapped in a blizzard before, but that was something else), but he could imagine it was pretty stressful.
"If we got stuck in a storm, I wouldn't leave your side," Langa says, as clear and smooth as possible. "I wouldn't let you out of my sight, even if I couldn't see you."
Reki looks at him, with those curious amber eyes, as if looking to see if Langa was lying. But there was no lie, because Langa would never leave Reki behind, and Reki sticks his tongue out at Langa.
"You're a tacky" He says playfully, and Langa can only raise an eyebrow, smiling.
"Me, tacky? Maybe, but only with you" He says triumphantly, and Reki scoffs at him. Smiling, Langa brushes a strand of hair out of Reki's eyes.
"How do you feel, love?" Question, now that one of Reki's problems has passed. The redhead seems to think about the answer.
"I feel better. Not as feverish as I used to be, anyway. But my stomach is still churning, so I won't eat anything," he states, blinking.
"Alright then," Langa says. "When you get better, I'll make my famous omelets that you love" he states, and Reki nods, excited at the idea of eating Langa's food when it gets better.
The two together watch videos on Langa's cell phone, Reki complaining that he would probably spend a good chunk of his money fixing his cell afterwards. Langa offers to help with the payment, but Reki promptly disagrees.
Reki was much better by the end of the night, and then the next morning he was brand new. As it was a Sunday, the boys spent another whole day together happily.
