"Are you sure you're warm enough?" Usagi asked Leonardo as they sat together in the back of the crowded hayride that was taking them through a haunted maze.
"mmhmm I'm fine." Leo said, obviously not fine as he was shaking from the cold.
To be fair Usagi did tell him to dress warm. Instead he chose to wear a hoodie while Usagi had an actual jacket on to keep him warm. By Leos excuse it was warmer when they left so he didn't think he needed one.
"Then why are you shaking?" Usagi grabbed Leos shaking hand that was cold to the touch to warm him up a bit. Leo felt his face get warm as he looked forward on the hayride.
"Okay fine, maybe I'm a bit cold." Leo muttered, feeling embarrassed that he didn't listen to his boyfriend.
Usagi chuckled. Such an easy thing to admit yet Leo had too much pride in himself to do so.
"I figured. Luckily I brought this." Usagi reached for the bag that was sitting in between his legs and pulled out a small blanket, wrapping it around himself and Leo, pulling the two closer to get warm.
Leo felt his face get warm and if it was light out he'd probably be lighting up like a Christmas tree. Usagi smiled and grabbed Leo's hand again, always finding it cute at how shy his boyfriend got even after they had been dating for so long now.
Leo looked over at him and smiled, interlocking his fingers with Usagi's as they held hands. Luckily it was dark so most people on the hayride couldn't see them. Despite them being together for so long Leo was still anxious about being open with his relationship and no one else knew about him and Usagi, not even his brothers. And he planned to keep it that way until he was ready.
But for now, he would just enjoy this moment together.
Leo rested his head on Usagi's shoulder as they watched the hayride take them through the maze, laughing at the costumed actors that were trying to scare them, enjoying the warmth they shared with no worries in the world.
