Leo wants it KNOWN that he is on VACATION here! And that means he doesn’t have to do any sort of ‘being in charge’ thinking at all whatsoever, and yeah maybe the whole ‘captured and tied up and handed off to a scary warlord’ part wasn’t on the itinerary, but the DIFFERENCE IS… the new guy holding the leash is HOT.
Usagi really wishes this turtle was actually sent to kill him.

Nineteen. One and Nine. Hurrah.
Leo was nineteen now and he couldn't be more lost. Being a leader? He's got that done. Making up for his mistakes? Been doing that for the past few years. Being awesome? Done! This is his last year being a teenager and he feels like the world is coming down around him. He's been doing the same thing day after day, with the same people again and again. What was the point anymore?
There were probably better times to have a crisis than while running from a couple of goons trying to kill him, but Leo wasn't exactly the type to do things normally. He turned a corner and slipped into a nearby open building, breathing a sigh of relief as his pursuers ran past.
"Oh! Hello there!"

“Alright. Now or never.” Raph says grimly, and they let go of each other’s hands and open their eyes. They don't look at Leo. Rude.
“If there are any spirits here tonight, we are searching for our brother, Hamato Leonardo.” Mikey says, reaching out to cup his candle’s flame. It smells like the ocean, and Leo can appreciate the use of blue candles if the seance is for-

It's hard to make peace with your death, but Leo did it anyway. To protect his family, to protect the world.
He finds it quite a bit harder to make peace with what comes after death.
