Chapter Text
Chikn was sitting at the park, breaking down slices of bread into crumbs to feed the pigeons with. Surely nothing could go wrong, right?
“Hey, Oar Ears!”
.... nevermind. Chikn turned to see the voice came from Hawt Saus.
“What do you want from me, Hawt?” Chikn said, trying to at least be polite. “Nothing, I just wanted to point out how stupid you look, feeding those birds!” Was what Hawt Saus said, before laughing.
Chikn probably should’ve expected Hawt Saus to be hostile towards him for no reason. He grabbed some of the bread crumbs he still had, and threw them at Hawt Saus.
“Hey! What’s the big idea?! You know I was joking, right?!“ The squirrel shouted, before the pigeons started trying to peck on him.
“Ouch-Ow-GET OFF ME!” He yelled, before running away, pigeons chasing after him.
———
After getting away from those pigeons, Hawt Saus was able to finally get something to eat. It wasn’t much, looking like something a school would serve their students at Lunch, but it was still a meal.
As Hawt Saus was walking over to a seat, he saw Sody Pop running towards him from the side. Before he could react, he ran underneath his arms, causing his food to be knocked out of his hands and onto the floor.
Hawt Saus gave him an angry look, before sighing.
“Guess I’m not eating lunch today.”
———
It was amusing. Well, to everybody but him.
After he saw Slushi’s artwork, he felt... jealous. Like he could do better. And so he drew something himself.
It was a picture of himself, chilling out somewhere. He thought he did a good job as he sent it on twitter.
.... God, that was a mistake.
As soon as he posted it, he was almost immediately bombarded with hate comments, some just not liking him, some thinking he stole the picture from somebody he never even heard about, and some thinking his drawing was bad.
He shut his phone off before he could see Slushi hearting his drawing.
———
As he walked back home, he growled as he walked past Chee, getting her attention.
“Hawt Saus?” Was what the cat with the cheeseburger hat asked him. “Are you ok?”
“What kind of question is THAT?! It’s none of your business!” Was the red squirrel’s rude retort. Unfortunately, Chee wasn’t getting the hint. “.... Hawt, you clearly aren’t ok.” She said.
“Leave me alone.” Said the squirrel, hoping she’d listen. She didn’t. “Come on, just let me help, ok? I can-“
“I SAID SHUT UP!” The pissed off squirrel spoke, as he unexpectedly punched Chee right in the face.
And of course, Chikn was the first person to hear her scream and rush to her side.
“Hawt Saus.... what is your problem?!” Chikn asked, seemingly genuinely angry. The squirrel remained silent, trying to process what he just did. “.... I don’t know why I considered you a friend anymore. All you’ve ever done is hurt us all.”
Hawt Saus finally went to speak, but Chikn stopped him. “No. I don’t want to hear it. Do us all a favor, and LEAVE.” Hawt Saus wasn’t even able to apologize to Chee, and Chikn wanted him to leave. “We don’t want you here, if you’re gonna be so ungrateful. So please, GET OUT OF HERE ALREADY!”
As Hawt Saus slowly walked away, he sadly looked at Chee and Chikn. Chee looked more shocked than anything, while Chikn looked prepared to put him in a headlock again.
