Work Text:
It was cold and she'd forgotten to bring another sweater. She crossed her arms and rubbed through them for warmth. The motel's heater wasn't working well and the last thing she needed was freezing to death before Mulder gets back from the diner. It wasn't also helping that the weather outside was also very cold.
"Scully, I'm back!"
Speak of the devil.
Mulder entered their shared room, paperbag filled with food in his arms. He frowned when he was greeted by chilly air. Scully smiled weakly at him, though she was still a sight for sore eyes—dressed in a pair of shorts and his old Nicks shirt—he had to contain himself first.
"Scully it's freezing in here." He stated, setting the food on the small coffee table before walking to inspect the heater. "Did you call front desk?"
"I– I did," she stuttered, "They still haven't come."
Mulder was annoyed, yet his attention moved to Scully.
"Oh, honey," he sighed. Scully let the pet name slide. "Come here."
He walked towards her in her spot on the bed and she moved a bit when he was close. Allowed herself to be wrapped in his arms and took in all the warmth his body could give. He was her personal heater.
"Do you have a sweater packed with you?" He asked.
She shook her head against him and tightened her hold when she felt him move. Mulder laughed and told her he'd be right back. She watched him rummage through his luggage and pull out his old Oxford sweater. The one she loved so much other than the shirt she was currently wearing.
She smiled when he handed it to her and immediately slipped it on. She couldn't help but inhale the scent. She knew he recently had worn it and loved that she could smell him from the clothing.
She looked adorable, sexy even. She always looked good in his clothes.
"Feel good?" He asked.
"Uh huh, thank you." She replied.
"Good." He said, kissing the top of her head.
