Work Text:
Changbin looked around the gym, stretching his neck after putting down his weights. Wooyoung was gods know where, probably chatting up the poor receptionist. He saw Haknyeon not even bothering to pretend he's working out. Changbin couldn't blame him, who would work out when their seniors and co. are in the gym. Their bodies are demotivating let alone some of their routines.
Except, there was someone new amongst them. He was pretty and buff, probably rivalling Changbin himself. Dark hair was trimmed short, broad nose and pretty eyes currently narrowed at one of the people he was with. "Christopher, we've got somewhere to be in an hour." They chided, the other seniors joining the pair.
Christopher was his name, it suited him way too well.
"Alright, alright, just let me finish this one workout." Christopher pleaded, the other person rolling their eyes. "Okay, I guess I can't. Also, don't roll your eyes at me." Christopher warned, putting the weights away.
"Nope." was their reply, Changbin realising it was Minyoung. He looked at Haknyeon to see him smirking, fuck, Haknyeon had seen him checking out the person. And as he looked at the mirror, he also saw Wooyoung's self-pleased smirk. He's screwed.
The seniors all left, Christopher fitting right in, chatting happily away to Sangyeon and Jaehyun.
"So, who's got our little Binnie staring?" Wooyoung teased, waiting for the seniors to clear out of the changing rooms. Changbin decided to ignore him by doing his stretches, not knowing Haknyeon had caught the name or knew who Christopher was.
"It's Chan, Minyoung's cousin." Haknyeon said casually, Changbin whipping his head to look at the eldest. The boy rolled his eyes from where he was doing his stretches. "I'm from Jeju, you think I wouldn't know Minyoung's entire family tree off by heart." Haknyeon snarked as the other two stared at him.
They heard loud chatter, realising the seniors had left - Chan amongst them. Just as Changbin thought he was in the all clear, Chan smiled and winked at him. "Oh." was the only sound Changbin could make, ears turning bright pink. The seniors left, Changbin standing still while Wooyoung shrieked about what just happened.
"Maybe you'll stop pining over Hyunjin, Felix and Minho the elegant beauties of the dance team. Or Jeongin and Seungmin the pretty boys from your music class. Or Jisung, the oblivious roomate" Haknyeon teased, being over-dramatic on purpose. Changbin glowered as they headed towards to the changing rooms.
"YEONJUN'S GOING TO LOVE THIS!!! AND SO WILL SERIM!!!!!!!" Wooyoung shouted, only shutting up when one of the staff glared at him.
Changbin isn't going to be allowed peace. Ever if these goons remain his friends. Especially considering how they teased him after Jeongin once joined their gym sess.
Jeongin looked on at him in pure wonder as Changbin did another brenchpress. "You're so cool, hyung." Jeongin exclaimed, eyes practically sparkling as he praised Changbin.
"You're overexaggerating now, Jeongin-ah." Changbin said, already noticing how Wooyoung was paying too much attention to the wall while Serim pretended to be making sure his shoelaces were properly on.
Jeongin shook his head, pouting, disappointed Changbin wasn't taking his praise. "Why doesn't hyung believe me when I say he's cool, I'm telling the truth." Jeongin whined, Changbin cooing as the younger was too adorable for Changbin's health.
"Okay, okay, I'll accept your statements as truthful." Changbin gave in, Jeongin's bright smile lighting up the gym. The boy looked at the clock, gasping and rushing to grab his stuff.
"I've gotta go, I have a class!! See you soon, hyung!!!" Jeongin yelled as he rushed out of the gym, stopping only to violently wave goodbye to Changbin. Changbin snorted as he heard him trip, a small dolphin shriek being let out and then a quick 'I'm okay!!! Don't worry!!' before the entrance doors slammed open.
"I thought you said you didn't stand a chance at being able to date Jeongin?" Serim asked, Changbin turning to face him with a deadpan look. Serim grinned, knowing he was successful in his attempt to provoke Changbin, Wooyoung sniggering behind his hand.
"Fuck off you clowns." Changbin growled, the pair breaking out into howls of laughter, Wooyoung nearly doubling over.
He hates his friends.
Changbin stood outside the practise rooms, staring at his phone.

MC Lovey 💓💓💓💓
Sure
Changbin put his phone in his pocket, feeling it vibrating. Wooyoung is the only person he'll every regret giving his number to. Yeonjun takes ages to respond, Haknyeon is a snarky little shit but doesn't spam and Serim is weirdly civilised. Wooyoung hates everyone.
"AYO, Changbin, what are you doing here?" shouted Jisung, Changbin turning to him. Oh lord, his roommate is here. He is going to go and cry now. Jisung had no right looking so damn good in his tank top and sweats.
"Waiting for Haknyeon and Yeonjun." Changbin muttered, Jisung grinning at him. If Changbin were to pay more attention, he'd realised Jisung looked at him with the same fondness he looked at him with. "What about you?" Changbin asked, Jisung coming to stand next to him, leaning against the wall.
"Waiting for my group as well." Jisung said, grinning at him. Changbin nodded, the studio door slamming open. Changbin nearly leaped 10'000 feet into the air at the sound, Jisung whipping his head to see Hyunjin standing there, wincing at the noise
"MINYOUNG-NOONA, CHANGMIN-HYUNG, IT'S JISUNG OUTSIDE!!!" Hyunjin yelled. Changbin had heard about their high school years, Jisung having beef with everyone asides from a few of their seniors and those who would cut him down quicker than he could try. Jisung calmed down by his senior year and apologised to everyone.
Changbin still believed the change came with his friendship with Haknyeon's childhood friends, Sunwoo and Eric. He even made friends with Hyunjin who's seniors were reaching the point of considering murdering him.
"You know, this wouldn't have happened if you hadn't been an asshole in high school." Changbin teased, chuckling when Jisung narrowed his eyes at him. He looked away before feeling Jisung tug his arm, pulling him back to face him.
"Stop teasing handsome, I only have so much restraint." Jisung whispered, Changbin going red as Jisung let go. What in the living fuck was that? Jisung turned back to his smiley self, Changbin trying his best not to lose his mind.
He only went back to normalcy when Haknyeon left the studio with Yeonjun, talking to San. "Changbinnie!!!" Yeonjun said happily, walking over to Changbin. Changbin gave him a fist bump, smiling as they watched Haknyeon and Sunwoo talk to each other softly, Sunwoo kissing his cheek before rushing to join Felix, Hyunjin and Jisung.
"Wooyoung says hi." Changbin said to San, the boy flushing pink and grinning wide. Changbin smirked before hearing a crash, turning to see Jisung on top of Eric, cheeks flushed with laughter as Eric groaned on the ground, complaining about how heavy Jisung was.
Jisung was just so gorgeous at his happiest, eyes sparkling and cheeks rosy with laughter. Changbin looked to see Hyunjin, Minho and Felix staring at him with a soft look. When his eyes met Felix's, the boy grinned and waved, Hyunjin's cheeks flaming after realising they'd been caught staring. They both immediately turned to Minho who chuckled but didn't stop staring.
Felix's hair was long once again and a dark colour once again. It suited him so much. Hyunjin had dyed his hair a soft caramel brown, bangs framing his face. Changbin couldn't help but notice the lining of eyeliner, giving him a sharper look compared to the other two next to him. Minho's hair was now a blue-black, grin wide as Felix spoke softly to him.
Jisung was off the ground now, still laughing with mirth as he conversed with his friends. Changbin only then noticed that Jisung had his hair pulled back into a tiny ponytail. Oh god, he's going to die at this point.
Changbin turned back to see Haknyeon nearly melting as Eric talked softly to him, nodding his head vigorously at something Eric asked. Eric kissed Haknyeon's hand before running to his friends, the group leaving with Hyunjin and Felix waving to him and Minho as they left. Jisung also waved, Changbin shaking his head before sharing a look with Minho, the older holding his eyes before turning away to leave.
Changbin was rushing along the corridors, hoping to make it to his class in time. It was his first class of the semester, it'd be embarrassing if he was late.
Changbin was rushing so quickly that he didn't notice the boy who'd stepped out from the corner until Changbin crashed straight into them, taking them both tumbling down to the ground.
"Ouch." The other person groaned, hand trapped under Changbin who had landed on the ground. Changbin opened his eyes to see the one of the most beautiful people he'd ever seen. Feline-like eyes looked down at him, dark grey hair tickling his cheeks and cheeks tinted pink when they both realised how close they were.
Changbin sat up, the other boy sitting on the floor next to him, holding his wrist. Changbin noticed the slight pout as he looked at his wrist before he looked up at Changbin and smiled at him.
"Oh god, I'm so so sorry. I was rushing to class to not be late and I crashed into you, oh now I'm late, oh god, I'm so so sorry, did you get hurt? Oh lord, I'm so terribly sorry, I truly didn't notic-"
"It's alright." The boy interrupted Changbin's rambling, smiling softly at Changbin. "If anything, you've probably just left a bruise, most of the pain was from me dislocating it earlier on this week. So, please stop apologising and worrying." The boy explained, Changbin nodding slowly.
"Also, aren't you late?" The boy asked as Changbin stood up, Changbin nodded. He helped the boy up, noticing his hair wasn't just grey but also had purple highlights. It just added to the boy's ethereal beauty.
"Yeah but I'll only be a few minutes late. My name's Changbin." Changbin introduced himself, the boy smiling at him.
"I'm Minho. I'll guess I'll be seeing you around, Changbin." The boy answered, smirking as he began to walk away.
"I guess so, Minho." Changbin said, Minho grinning before walking off. Changbin felt his chest, feeling his heart beat quickly. He turned to head to his class, grinning as he thought about the boy with feline eyes and grey hair with purple highlights.
"You both have to tell me everything when we get to the café." Yeonjun demanded, the trio taking their leave to a close by café. It was their usual place, a little cosy place regularly unknown to most students, allowing them to hide away from the pressures of regular life.
Hardly anyone they knew dropped by, the only people Changbin has seen in the the two years of going was Minyoung and Sangyeon, the two discovering it as it was close to where their theory classes for performative arts was held.
As they entered, Changbin wasn't surprised to see Sangyeon there with a table, probably waiting for Minyoung. He saw Wooyoung with Serim already, heading over with Yeonjun slumping into his extremely comfortable seat.
He suddenly sat up, finger pointing at Haknyeon who had just sat down, Haknyeon realising and going pink. "Eric better have asked you on a date." Yeonjun warned, Wooyoung turning his head with a loud gasp.
"He asked me to be his plus one to that event this weekend." Haknyeon whispered, Wooyoung shrieking as he shook Haknyeon. Changbin grinned, immediately imagining Haknyeon in the underground rapping scene. Changbin realised he'd be seeing Haknyeon, immediately happy.
"I'll see you there then, so will Jisung." Changbin said, Haknyeon nodding. Wooyoung was still babbling away when someone cleared their throat. Minyoung stood at the table, slamming a leaflet down.
"Do any of yous know who CB97 is?" They asked, Changbin picking up the slight pleaing in their voice. Sangyeon was looking like he was in despair. They all shook their heads, Minyoung swearing while Sangyeon took their chair forward.
"I need to know because I'm in charge of this weekend's event and not even Minyoung knows." Sangyeon said, Changbin picking up on the frustration in their voice.
"I have a slight idea." Minyoung whispered, Changbin turning to look at his senior. "I just don't wanna confirm it. He's not supposed to be doing this anymore, fuck, I even promised his mother, Yeonie." Minyoung said, face in their hands as they stressed over this.
"You'll find out on Saturday, noona. Don't stress." Yeonjun said softly, Minyoung nodding. They all moved onto whether or not the drama professor is dating the football coach. At some point, Minyoung and Sangyeon left, Sangyeon leaving with a cheery "See you on Saturday!!" to Changbin.
"I can get tickets for you three, this mystery must be driving you insane." Changbin said, Serim high-fiving him before nearly crushing his hands. Yeonjun shook his head as Wooyoung decided he needed to crush Changbin's lungs.
They spent some more time in the café, Haknyeon giggling and showing them snaps Sunwoo was sending of him suffering at the Karaoke. Wooyoung and Yeonjun ended up violently bickering while he and Serim moved tables to avoid being associated him.
As they left, Changbin decided to walk Haknyeon home, knowing the poor boy hated walking home alone. "So, anyways, we're on Jeju and Haechan is looking so terrified. I'm like 'Oh no, what's gone wrong?' and then dun dun dun, IT'S REVEALED THAT HE SAW SEUNGKWAN WITH HIS BOYFRIEND THAT HE ACCUSED OF BEING NOT REAL!!!!" Haknyeon recounted, Changbin chuckling before spotting familiar bright pink hair.
"Changbin-hyung? Haknyeon-hyung?" Jeongin said, wiping away his tear tracks. Changbin immediately rush towards the boy, crouching down in front while Haknyeon pulled out his keys. Changbin cocked his head towards the dorm building before at Jeongin, Haknyeon nodding. Ah, they lived in the same building.
"What's wrong, Jeongin-ah?" Changbin asked, Jeongin bursting into tears before hugging him, Changbin holding him close. Changbin didn't like him crying, Jeongin is always so gleeful, it felt weird for him to be sobbing.
"Me and Seungmin got into an argument and I left to cool down but I left my keys behind. And he left as well to spend the night at his brothers and now I can't get back in." The boy wailed, Changbin nodding at Haknyeon who pulled out his phone.
"We'll sort something out." Changbin reassured him, Jeongin clutching to him tightly. He flashed back to an old conversation he and Jisung had.
"Jeongin likes you." Jisung said, almost sounding jealous. Changbin shrugged it off, knowing Jisung can't possibly be jealous. He's so obvious with his crush on Minho.
"Yeah, we talk often and he calls me his friend. It'd be weird for us to be friends if he didn't like me." Changbin remarked, pouring himself a bowl of cereal. Jisung groaned, Changbin ignoring all the thoughts that came as result.
"I mean like like, hyung, he likes you as more than a friend of." Jisung whined, crowding Changbin. Changbin tried his best to ignore the sudden closeness, focusing on eating his bowl of cereal.
"You're being delusional." He said, taking a spoonful while watch Jisung groaning again as he pushed away. Jisung approached him suddenly, taking his bowl of cereal and putting his bowl on the countertop. Jisung held Changbin's face, making him look him in the eyes.
"Why can't you recognise when someone likes you, so many people so obviously like you and I'll point it out, and you'll call me delusional." Jisung grumbled, stroking Changbin's cheeks. "And before you go on your spiel on how you're not good-looking, you are so extremely handsome." Jisung said, leaning closer.
Jisung's phone rang, the two jumping apart. Jisung going to get his phone and Changbin eating his bowl of cereal
Maybe Jisung was correct but he'll figure that out on a later date. Haknyeon came back from his phone call, couching besides Jeongin. "I just phoned my roommate and he says it's okay if you want to join us for the night." Haknyeon said, Jeongin looking up. He sniffled as he nodded, wiping away any remaining tears before blushing as he finally looked at Changbin.
"Thank you hyungs." Jeongin whispered, taking Changbin's hand to help him stand up. "This really means a lot." the boy said, smiling at them both. Changbin nearly melted as he felt him squeeze his hand.
"Can I have your number, hyung?" Jeongin asked, Changbin nodding before Jeongin could finish the question, fumbling to get his phone out of his pocket. Jeongin giggled, putting his number into Changbin's phone. Changbin smiled so widely that his face began to hurt.
"Goodnight Innie!! NIGHT HAKHAK" Changbin yelled, the pair waving as Haknyeon scanned them into the building. Changbin waited til they were inside before heading to his own dorms.
Sungsung
When you will be home??
Binbin
Soon
I got Jeongin's number
Sungsung
YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
You need to tell me everything
I'm so jealous
Binbin
I will
You'll get your partners soon, Sungie, I just know it
Also, there's a new rapper that even Minyoung and Sangyeon don't have a clue on who it is
Sungsung
I believe you
YOU HAVE TO TELL ME EVEN MORE ABOUT THIS, ESPECIALLY IF MINYOUNG AND SANGYEON DON'T KNOW WHO IT IS
Changbin grinned, cheering as he sauntered to his dorm, excited to gossip with Jisung.
Changbin groaned as he sat up, alarm blaring through his head, Jisung also groaning before clinging to Changbin. They had been sitting in Jisung's bed when they must've fallen asleep. Changbin didn't want to get up, Jisung's chest was comfy. He felt himself drift off before he saw his clock.
11:30am
Wait, THEY HAD TO DRIVE. Changbin sat up, shaking Jisung who just groaned. "Jisung, we've got to head for the event." He hissed when Jisung clung tighter to him.
"dun wanna get up" was his muffled reply, Changbin groaning. He didn't blame Jisung but they had to get ready now.
"It's 11:30am." He said, Jisung's eyes snapping open before rapidly sitting up. The younger fell out of the bed, untangling himself from the sheets before skidding to his closet. Changbin watched as he picked some clothes, running towards the bathroom. Changbin went to his own room, pulling out some black clothes.
He had invited Jeongin as his plus one, Jisung inviting Seungmin which made Changbin tingly with happiness. Maybe, he'll be able to have a relationship with three of the 7 people he currently liked. Yeah, Chan had made his way onto the list through small interactions.
"Oh, mate, be careful when lifting, your foot doesn't look like it placed properly." Chan warned, Changbin fixing his foot placement before lifting.
"Thanks. You're Chan, Minyoung's cousin." Changbin said, Chan smiling as he rubbed the back of his neck. Oh, so he was shy, how delightful.
"Yeah, lemme guess - one of your friends is a dance team member." Chan guessed, Changbin shaking his head. Chan let out a small 'oh', Changbin trying his best to ignore the way those pink lips made a perfect O.
"My friend is also from Jeju Island, Ju Haknyeon." Changbin said, Chan nodding, stepping out of the way as Changbin dropped the weights down.
"Oh, I know Haknyeon, a sweet boy - his family produce tangerine and their pigs grow so fat but I'm banned from making bacon jokes." Chan rambled, Changbin laughing as Chan took a swig. "What's your name?" Chan asked, Changbin meeting his eyes.
"Changbin. Seo Changbin." He replied, Chan smiling widely at him. Changbin wanted to kiss that smile, it's so gorgeous.
"Nice to meet you, Changbin-ah." Chan said, voice soft with serenity. Changbin felt comfortable around him.
Changbin packed his bag, going to kitchen to pull out snacks for the car journey. Jisung came through, smiling at Changbin as he whizzed by to get in a protein shake before they had head to Daegu. Why the event was held so far away, Changbin will need to ask Sangyeon.

Changbin turned off his phone, texting Wooyoung meant losing more of your self-respect each time. He headed to the shower, deciding to steal some of Jisung's stuff. He had mentioned he liked it when Changbin smelled like him. Also, Hyunjin had mentioned that the smell of citrus and vanilla suited him.
Changbin went to take a seat on the bench outside of the dance studios when he saw Hyunjin sitting at a bench. Immediately, he headed to the check on the boy, concerning brewing in his gut as he sat across him.
"Hyunjin, what's wrong?" He asked as he sat down next to the boy, the boy looking up at him. Hyunjin wiped his tears, fidgeting with his bracelets as he probably thought over how to explain.
"My coach doesn't think I'm good enough to be on the dance team." Hyunjin whispered, Changbin turning in anger to face him. There was no way in any universe that the dance teacher was any semblance of correct.
"Bullshit. Fucking bullshit, when did she have the damn nerve to say that? Do any of the captains know she said that?" Changbin growled, Hyunjin looked shocked, like he didn't believe someone would think different than his coach.
"She took me out of practice to tell me. I don't think they know, I've been sitting out here since." Hyunjin whispered, biting his lip. Changbin went to stand but Hyunjin pulled him down.
Hyunjin tried to excuse his coach's harsh words. "She's probably correct, I'm just being over-dramatic-"
"No, you're not being over-dramatic and if I were to ask any of your teammates, they'd be destroyed at the thought that she made you feel so horrible and self-conscious over your skill as a dancer. Also, your coach is Madam Delphine and there's a reason why the captains only listen to Taeyong over her. She's an amazing dancer, naturally talented at her area of expertise but she's not someone who should be a coach." Changbin argued, Hyunjin tearing up as he done so.
Changbin was surprised when Hyunjin hugged him, Changbin hugging him back."Thank you, hyung" was whispered into his neck, Changbin rubbing the younger's back, slightly happy at the fact he had gotten hyung privilege. But he was even more overjoyed at the fact he had managed to make Hyunjin realise she was wrong.
"Wait, how do you know she's horrible?" Hyunjin asked, rightfully perplexed as Changbin wasn't part of the dance team.
"Well, Haknyeon is my friend and he's also Minyoung's childhood friend so I heard horror stories about Minyoung's dance years. But in Music Technology, we were paired up with seniors. And I found out all the horror stories happened when Madame Delphine was their ballet coach." Changbin explained, Hyunjin nodding into his neck.
Hyunjin eventually sat back, Changbin dismayed at having to let him go.
"You smell like citrus and vanilla. It suits you." Hyunjin said, blushing softly. Changbin grinned at him. "Do you wanna join me tell Minyoung and Changmin what Madame Delphine said?" Hyunjin tentatively asked, Changbin perking up immediately.
"Fuck yeah!!! Minyoung's going to lose their shit and Changmin will commit murder!!! This WILL BE AMAZING!!! " He yelled, jumping up from his seat. Hyunjin giggled as they entered the studios.
"I WANT TO SWING FROM THE CHANDELIER, FROM THE CHANDELIER." Jisung violently sung, Changbin wondering how he caught for feelings for this boy. "Sing with me, hyung." Jisung demanded, Changbin shaking his head even after Jisung whined out protests.
"Nah, I don't wanna make the birds deaf like you are currently." He teased, Jisung letting out a dramatic gasp. Changbin turned to drive onto the motorway, rolling the windows down for Jisung.
"I have you know my singing is fit for theatre productions." Jisung exclaimed, Changbin snorting at him. Jisung glared at him, crossing his arms as he done so. The boy then over-dramatically looked away from him, making a 'hrumph' noise.
"Let's ask Sangyeon-hyung about that." Changbin remarked, Jisung immediately turning to face him. Sangyeon was legendary, standing out amongst most of their seniors. He got some of the most difficult theatrical roles Changbin had seen and Changbin knew Jisung had a teensy tiny 'idol crush' on him.
"You're so mean, hyung. Sangyeon is tiers above me." Jisung whined, leaning back into his seat. A McDonald's came into view, Changbin already knowing what was about to happen. "Hyung, can we get McDonald's, please, please, oh please hyung? Pleaseeeeeee? I'll be so well-behaved for hyung, please, please." Jisung begged, Changbin flicking the indicator.
Jisung cheered, Changbin parking the car as Jisung rambled about how he was going to eat so many chicken nuggets and no one can stop him. Changbin couldn't hide his smile when Jisung jumped out of the car, bouncing towards the building. Changbin sauntered behind them, entering to find Jisung frozen.
Changbin looked to see what had Jisung suddenly frozen and there he saw Hyunjin, Minho and Felix - the trio giggling, snorting and laughing with each other. Changbin grabbed Jisung's hands, taking him to one of the machines so they could order.
"Don't freeze up because your three crushes are here." Changbin teased, Jisung glancing at him with a strange look. Changbin quickly focused on ordering, Jisung standing closer.
"But you like them as well, hyung." Jisung whispered, Changbin knowing he immediately gave himself away as his cheeks heated up and he froze. "So, I'm correct?" Jisung questioned, Changbin slowly nodding before motioning for him to order.
Jisung did so, staring intently afterwards at Changbin. "We'll talk about it in the car." Changbin said, Jisung nodding before standing close to him. They both prayed the pretty trio wouldn't notice them, both aware of the other's crush on the trio, making it so they'd be awkward unlike when they were unaware.
God probably hadn't forgotten the time Jisung had went 'Could God do this?' and downed five shots in a row, so Hyunjin saw them. His pretty smile made an appearance as he spotted them, quickly getting up to head over to them.
"Hi, imagine seeing you two here." Hyunjin said, caramel brown hair tied back into a half down ponytail that added to his serious look. It was deceptive as Hyunjin was as dramatic as one could get. He was also a big softy when you got to know him, always helping his seniors and being spoiled by them.
"We're heading to that event, you know the one? What about you three?" Changbin asked as Jisung who was usually the confident one of the pair jad frozen up. Damn, the revelation had broken him. Changbin was so going to eat his chicken nuggets now.
"Oh, so are we!!! If us dance team members annoy Minyoung and Yuta enough, they'll get us tickets." Hyunjin informed them, Jisung nodding. It made sense, Minyoung was introverted so they probably would do anything to be allowed to sit in peaceful quiet in the corner with their fellow introverts.
"Ah, you're coming to see me and Changbin obviously, not Eric and Sunwoo, right? Right?" Jisung joked, Hyunjin laughing behind his hand. Jisung looked rightfully smug as he should, Hyunjin was extremely gorgeous while laughing.
"Yes, Jisungie, we are." Hyunjin said softly, Changbin nearly fainting at the confirmation. Their order popped up on the screen as ready, forcing them to end the conversation. Hyunjin looked disappointed as they said goodbye, obviously sulking when they went past the window they were sitting at.
Minho and Felix waved as they walked by, Jisung thrumming with anxiety as they got inside the car. "Eat first?" Changbin asked, Jisung nodding before taking his chicken nuggets out of the bag. He shoved two into his mouth, Changmin chuckling at how he resembled a quokka even more than usual.
"You're adorable, I just want to hold you forever." Changbin said, shocking himself at the sudden confession. Jisung choked on his chicken before managing to swallow it. Changbin was about to majorly backtrack when Jisung grabbed his neck and kissed him.
He let out a shocked gasp before holding his face and kissing back. Pulling back, they pressed their foreheads together, cheeks vibrant pink. "You don't understand how long I've wanted to do that." Jisung whispered, Changbin laughing before chasing another peck.
"God, I like you so much." Changbin confessed, grinning happily as Jisung peppered his face with kisses. They went back to eating, holding hands and laughing as they recounted all their silly 'oh, we should've realised sooner' moments.
As they finished up, Changbin noticed Minho looking stressed as he paced, Felix and Hyunjin leaning against the car. He nudged Jisung and they got out of the car, approaching the trio slowly.
"Is everything okay, Hyung?" Jisung asked, Minho turning to face them, looking close to pulling his hair out.
"My car hates me and decided to break down." Minho explained, holding his phone. Changbin winced, Jisung taking off his jumper, revealing that he's wearing a tank. Changbin bit his lip, noticing Minho also eyeing Jisung. Their eyes met and Changbin knew that Minho was a man of refined taste meaning he obviously appreciated Jisung's arms.
Jisung popped open the hood, looking at it and leaning to check something. "You'll need to get this to a garage, new parts are needed." Jisung informed Minho, Minho nodding sullenly before pulling out his phone.
"If you're heading to Daegu, I can drive you up there and back down. It is only me and Jisung so you three can all join us, if you want?" Changbin offered, Minho's head snapping upwards and a massive smile took over his face as he looked at Changbin.
"Seriously?" Minho asked, doubting him before Changbin nodded. "Thank you, Jin, Lix, did you hear him? We're heading with them. Jinnie, help me take our stuff to their car." Minho ordered, Hyunjin sliding out and heading for the boot.
Changbin threw his car keys to Jisung, who caught them and looked at him with shock. "Move our stuff into the boot, help hyung and Hyunjin-ah." He directed Jisung, Jisung nodded before taking some of the bags to Changbin's car.
Felix got out of the car stretching, smiling softly at Changbin. "C'mon hyung, let's get carrying." Felix said, jokingly flexing his muscles, making Changbin snort. They grabbed the bags, walking to Changbin's car. Silence with Felix was always comfortable and peaceful, making Changbin feel safe.
Changbin walked along the path, trying to think up inspiration for his latest song. Writer's block truly affected everyone, Changbin learned that lesson the hard way. He was hoping that maybe the autumn vibes of the park would give him some inspiration but that clearly wasn't happening.
He saw a set of swings heading to them, sitting on one and swinging. Even if he didn't get inspiration, at least he's getting in some childhood nostalgia. Kevin will be happy, he's always talking about how Changbin needs to soothe and please his inner child.
He heard a voice shout his name, immediately slowing down and looking back to see who was calling his name. Tiny in his thick black coat, Felix waved and happily skipped over to him.
"Hi, hyung, what are you doing?" Felix asked, his curiosity obviously piqued. Changbin scuffed his feet on the ground, thinking over his answer before looking at him.
"Pleasing my inner child as it was annoyed I couldn't find inspo for a song I'm trying to write." He answered, realising it was colder now. Changbin shivered, not noticing that Felix looked on him with a look of concern.
"How long have you been out here, hyung?" Felix asked, Changbin staring at him before looking at his phone. Changbin's eyes widened as he saw it was already 6pm, he had left at 2pm. Was he really walking around for that long?
"About four hours." He answered honestly, Felix's eyes nearly popping out of his head with how wide they went.
"Four hours!!!" How have you not frozen into solid ice?" Felix exclaimed, Changbin looking at the ground. The boy began to take off his jacket, revealing he was wearing a thick sweater underneath. He pulled it over his head, Changbin catching glimpses of a six pack as his top rid up. Holy shit, tiny and cute Felix had a goddamn six pack.
"Take this." Felix offered up his sweater, Changbin about to protest when he saw the stern look on his face. "You're wearing that thin hoodie, please just take the sweater, hyung, it'll keep you warm and cosy." Felix pleaded, Changbin taking the sweater off of him.
He pulled the sweater over his head, Felix fixing his hood. Felix was correct, the sweater was extremely cosy. Changbin hoped Felix knew he was never ever getting this sweater back. Felix smiled at him as they began to walk along.
While they walked, neither felt the need to talk, the silence comfortable and making them feel at peace. Changbin had never felt so comfortable in silence like he did right now.
The car speeded along the highway, Changbin laughing at stuff Jisung was commenting. At some point, Jisung decided to sing again, Changbin groaning loudly.
"C'mon, sing with me or stop groaning." Jisung whined, Changbin glancing at him. Jisung puffed up his cheeks and Changbin should've never confessed when Jisung looked like a quokka, he now knew his weakness.
"No, I love you but I'm not singing with you. Once again, the poor poor birds have done nothing to deserve this torture. How is the mother bird meant to feed her babies and how is the mama bird meant to protect them if they're both deaf?" Changbin questioned, Jisung glaring at him.
"You're still being mean, I no longer want to be your boyfriend." Jisung whined, leaning against the seat. Changbin shook his head, sparing a glance to the sulking big baby. They didn't realise that Minho, Hyunjin and Felix were invested in the conversation.
"But baby, who's going to buy you chicken nuggets and simp over mutiple people with you?" Changbin asked, looking in the back mirror, making eye contact with Hyunjin, who turned pink.
"Wait, are you two dating?" Felix questioned, looking as confused as Changbin had felt before Jisung casually began calling him babe and mentioning being his boyfriend.
"Yup, we are - we just telepathically communicated it." Jisung answered, Changbin trying to hide his laugh. What actually established the relationship was them entering a gas station and Jisung saying 'As your now boyfriend, I announce we have to absolutely get oreos.' and Changbin had just agreed.
Minho narrowed his eyes, probably wanting all the information. "Simp over mutiple people?" Minho asked, Changbin using the excuse of being the driver to ignore the question when Jisung froze up. What happened next left everyone shell-shocked.
"I like Changbin, you three, Jeongin, Seungmin and Chan-hyung." Jisung blurted out, immediately covering his mouth afterwards to prevent himself spilling out even more information. Changbin pulled off the highway, leading to an intersection.
The other three in the back were shocked into silence, Felix's jaw was wide open, Hyunjin was looking at everyone in shock. And Minho, pretty, elegant, beautiful, composed Minho was turning red, frozen in place, his eyes wide with shock.
Jisung had broken the trio and judging by their pink faces, they actually stood a chance. Jisung seemed to be panicking, Changbin putting the locks on as he began to turn onto the road leading to a retail park. Hopefully, Jisung didn't try to throw himself out through the window before they reached it.
Immediately as Changbin parked, Jisung tried to open the door, turning to his boyfriend. "Changbin-hyung, please let me out of the car." Jisung pleaded, Changbin turning off the locks. Jisung immediately got out, Changbin following after. The other three were still in shock and still waited outside.
"I'm such a fucking idiot, why the fuck did I let my stupid fucking mouth say shit?" Jisung ranted to himself, Changbin taking his hand. Jisung turned to him, tears pooling. No matter how confident Jisung was, his anxiety would sometimes get the better of him. Like now.
"Hey, deep breaths. We'll let you calm down and then we'll discuss with them our feelings. But I genuinely think we stand a chance, judging on their reactions. Plus, if they don't, we have each other." Changbin reassured him, Jisung taking deep breaths, taking Changbin's face in his hands.
Jisung placed a kiss on Changbin's lips before letting out one final deep breath. "You're amazing, hyung. Let's do this." Jisung whispered, Changbin smiling at him before opening the door for Jisung.
Jisung got in the car, Changbin doing the same and they both turned to face the trio. Hyunjin looked up excitedly, nudging Felix who smiled and Minho seemed dazed, like he was shocked.
"So, me and Changbin both like you all." Jisung said softly, avoiding looking anyone in the eyes but nearly crushing Changbin's hand. Changbin noticed Hyunjin blink, a wide grin appearing on his face as he took one of Jisung's hands, holding it softly.
"I like you both and you Lixy, and Minnie-hyung. And Jeonginnie, Seungminnie and Channie." Hyunjin confessed, Jisung looking up with gleeful shock. Changbin squeezing Jisung's hands with excitement. Felix was blushing, Minho seemingly still shocked but picking up on the confessions.
"I also like you all." was the soft confession of Felix, Changbin about to combust, Hyunjin hugging Felix while Jisung silent screamed. They all turned to Minho, the boy's face bright pink as he stared back at them. Minho took a deep breath, giving himself a moment to compose himself.
The tension could be cut through with a butter knife with how thick it was in the air.
"Well, I guess I'll have to tell my mama to prepare four plates for dinner, possibly eight." Minho said, Hyunjin squealing before hugging him tightly. Minho laughed, meeting Changbin's eye.
"Don't we have to get driving, babe?" Minho teased, Changbin rolling his eyes before beginning to drive again. Jisung chatted away to Felix, Hyunjin falling asleep against Minho at some point.
"Sunwoo is so going to cry when we tell him. And then Seungmin will kill me for making Sunwoo cry." Felix groaned, Jisung and Minho giggling at his despair. Seungmin was well know for being protective over his stepbrother, despite Sunwoo being older.
Changbin entered the café, always amazed at the 50/50 maid café. 50% were waiters dressing as maids and 50% are just regular waiters. Haknyeon spotted him, waving excitedly as he ran over. "Thank you so much for volunteering to take over the shift, it means so much to all of us." Haknyeon rambled, Changbin smiling at him softly.
He went behind the counter, picking up an apron and saw Sunwoo at the till. He looked around for a familiar face, spotting Jihyo standing at the entrance. "Where are you most impacted?" He asked Jihyo, the poor shift manager losing her mind with the amount of staff who called in ill.
"The coffee machines, Sunwoo's overwhelmed at the moment, he probably needs the most help out of all of us." Jihyo answered, Changbin giving a thumbs up before heading behind the till. Sunwoo smiled gratefully at him as Changbin took over making two americanos, Sunwoo immediately focusing on making the toasties accompanying the coffees.
As they worked and quickly advanced through mutiple orders, Changbin was beginning to believe they won't face any displeased costumers. He saw Haknyeon whizzing through tables, often stopping to ask one of the "maids" what tables had what orders.
The decorative bell rung insistently, Changbin already knowing they're about to deal with assholes. There was a sign saying 'Don't ring the bell, it's only for decoration.' and the only people who rung it were these guys and children. Children are excusable, their curiosity obviously got the better of them. But these guys were being rude.
But, Sunwoo was always the polite and smiley one of the staff here, the reason he was often placed at the till. Sunwoo smiled at the group, Changbin watching as the smile went from genuine to fake as the leader spoke.
"We want a cappuccino, two americanos, a flat white, a caramel latte and a hot chocolate pronto." The guy said, ringing the bell for unfunny emphasis. Sunwoo glanced at Changbin, fear evident in his eyes. Assholes like him were the worse customers to deal with.
"As we currently only have a small amount of our usual staff, we will have a slight delay on your orders. We apologise for any inconvenience." Sunwoo said, smile sickly sweet with how fake it was, his eyes radiating the fear of these guys.
"Aish, at least try to be quick with it." The leading asshole said, one of his group rolling their eyes at his behaviour. Sunwoo just nodded, jabbing in their orders violently . Changbin had to check if Yeonjun's guess that Sunwoo was an Aries was correct because he was jabbing the screen like it had personally offended his family in front of his face.
"Jihun, come on, just give the poor guy a break, he and his partner have probably been working their asses off to make up for the staff who aren't in." One of his friends pleaded, Jihun looking at him. At least one of them had the human decency to get their friend to shut up.
"Fine. Stop whinging, Sanghyun, I'm making sure they do their jobs. But we better have them quick." Jihun warned, stalking off with his friends to their table. Changbin saw Sunwoo's hand shaking, gritting his jaw to keep his composure.
As they prepared the order, Sunwoo rushing back and forth with drinks and food. Changbin put two drinks on a tray only to notice Sunwoo wasn't back yet. Looking around, he quickly spotted Sunwoo practically tremoring as he stood at a table. Changbin left the till as he realised Sunwoo was standing by that dickhead Jihun's table.
"You were slow at making our drinks and now you're refusing to show us some aegyo, this restaurant has some extremely lousy service." The dickhead exclaimed, his friends except the Sanghyun guy who looked embarrassed.
"I, I can't without you tipping first. If you want aegyo without needing to tip, there's some lovely maid waiters nearby." Sunwoo bargained, leaning back from Jihun.
"Bullshit." Jihun yelled, attracting attention from all sides of the café. "We came here expecting to see all the staff be cute, only for you to refuse us the servic- ouh" Jihun was interrupted by a scrunched up ball of paper hitting his forehead.
"Shut the fuck up." Changmin growled, Jihun scowling. Jihun must've realised who Changmin was because he and his group were within minutes minus Sanghyun who was apologising profusely. Sunwoo ended up with Changmin and Kevin, getting comforted by them.
Changbin hoped that was the last they saw of that group. He really truly did. He even prayed because Sunwoo had been affected.
But, his prayers weren't answered. Instead, Jihun and his group that was down one member turned up almost every shift of Sunwoo's. They'd jeer at, bully and harass Sunwoo and any of the other patrons who tried to stop them.
The boss knew Jihun's dad which is why they were never chucked out.
Sunwoo, who found comfort in the café and it's routine, wasn't able to quit so a bunch of folk had taken to just sitting in the café, hoping their presence would deter the gang. It didn't but they weren't as bad when any of the seniors were there.
Changbin was sitting in the café, studying with Minyoung for their junior-senior joint project. Jacob was sitting with them, texting someone when they heard the door chime. And then they heard the loud gwaffing of Jihun's group.
Changbin noticed Seungmin's head pop up with interest, not even knowing the boy was here. It was hard to miss him with his pink highlights and puppy smile.
What wasn't hard to miss was the pure homicidal rage radiating off of him in large waves. Ah shit, Seungmin might actually commit something if that group of dicks do something to Sunwoo. Not that Changbin would miss them, he just doesn't want to see Seungmin go to jail over these assholes.
Everyone watched as the group approached the til, ordering and sitting peacefully. Too peacefully. Jihun didn't even make a remark when he walked past Sunwoo to head to the toilet. The last time Changbin had been here with Minyoung also there, they'd still made a ruckus - even talking loudly about how Sangyeon was a horrible singer. Changbin still swore on his mum's life that Minyoung had crushed their borrowed pen with their hand out of anger instead of accidentally standing on it like they claimed.
Changbin watched as Sunwoo went over, Minyoung also turning, pretending to do so out of mere boredom. Jacob also looked over in that direction, waiting for there to be shouting.
What happened next was even worse.
Changbin could only watch on in horror as Jihun came back and took a jug of water from another table. He then proceeded to pour it over Sunwoo's head, laughing loudly when Sunwoo shrieked at the coldness. If Seungmin had only been considering severe battery before, that was out of the picture now. He'll be heading for the slaughtering route instead.
Sunwoo then just breaks down crying, Haknyeon running over to him, trying to get the younger to calm down. That was when Seungmin stood, slowly approached Jihun's table and then took the seat that was originally Jihun's. Changbin gulped, feeling immediately guilty when thoughts of how hot Seungmin was ran through his head.
Jihun cleared his throat, Seungmin looking up at him. "Hello Jihun, you won't know me, but I definitely know you. You've been terrorising my dear brother. But listen here, if you ever do anything to him ever again, I'll ruin your life. I have the power to get you thrown out of this university, to have you fired, to have your lease suddenly stopped. So never dare try to even breathe in Sunwoo's direction." Seungmin threatened, smiling menacingly.
Jihun was frozen in place. "Also, so you don't doubt my threats. My name is Kim Seungmin and I'm the son of Kim Wooseok and Kim Hanuel." Seungmin spoke, Jihun realising who was threatening him. He quickly got his stuff, running out with his friends following, Seungmin smiling the entire time before turning to Sunwoo who was being babied by the other staff
Changbin knew right then and there that he was in love.
As they reached the quieter part of the city, Jisung spotted a familiar car parked at a coffee shop. Seungmin's brother, Taehyung was often dropping and picking up Seungmin so it wasn't surprising that he'd drive Seungmin and Jeongin to Daegu.
Changbin parked, knowing Jisung was on a mission. He'd already confessed to 4 people, why not confess to two of the three remaining? Felix snorted as their boyfriend tripped when running to the café, Changbin staying back with his three other boyfriends.
Entering the café, Changbin spotted Jisung taking a table next to trio, Taehyung looking up, obviously extremely disinterested with the conversation Seungmin and Jeongin had been having. Changbin sat to the left of Jisung, Felix sitting to Jisung's right while Hyunjin and Minho sat across from them.
"Oh, I didn't know you were travelling together." Jeongin noted, smiling at his hyungs as they all said hi. Taehyung put his phone away, suddenly seeming extremely interested. Changbin did the mental maths and realised at the same time as Felix did, turning to each other with wide eyes - Sunwoo must've told him.
"Yeah, hyung's car broke down so Changbin-ah gave us a left and interesting things happened on the ride." Felix explained, Changbin noticing that Jisung was shaking with the jitters. Oh, Jisung must be planning on actually confessing.
"I confessed to all four of them but I'm not done confessing. I'm sorry to do this while your brother is here Seungmin-ah but I can't keep it back any longer. We like you and Jeongin-ah." Jisung burst out, Jeongin going as pink as his hair while Taehyung smirked at Seungmin, raising his eyebrows at the boy.
"I, uh, I like you all too." Jeongin stammered out, squeaking when Felix took his hand. Taehyung and Seungmin were having an argument with their eyes, Taehyung nodding vivaciously at one point, Seungmin widening his eyes.
"Seungmin likes you all too." Taehyung suddenly said, suddenly doubling over when Seungmin got him in the gut for telling them. Changbin knew how it was with siblings, he and his sister would randomly punch or slap each other.
"I do." Seungmin confirmed, letting out a small 'ouch' when Taehyung stamped very violently on his foot. Hyunjin glanced at them all to confirm if this was how siblings acted and they all nodded. Changbin saw Minho nod, wondering who he was related to until he remembered that Minho had two older stepbrothers, Jacob and his brother Jeff.
"So, are y'all dating now?" Taehyung asked, impressively grabbing Seungmin's fist while looking away from his younger brother. They all looked to each other nodding, Taehyung letting Seungmin's hands go. "Aeeeeeeee, I've gotta tell our brothers." Taehyung teased, Seungmin glaring at him before relenting, letting him text their brothers.
They all sat and chattered away for half an hour, Taehyung announcing it was time to get on the road. Jeongin pouting as he got up, only smiling again when Hyunjin gave him a kiss on the cheek. "We'll seen you there!!!" Jisung shouted, Seungmin waving before taking the youngest's hand.
Changbin couldn't wait until they were all reunited, already missing the younger two.
Changbin's chest tightened as he realised they were close to figuring out who was CB97, excitement thrumming in his blood.
Changbin led the group through the crowd, Hyunjin nearly crushing his hand as they moved, having met up with Jeongin and Seungmin. He noticed Yeonjun give him a look before seeing him holding Hyunjin's hand. Changbin didn't need to see him react, hearing him yelling out what he just saw to Serim and Wooyoung, the other two cheering loudly.
They entered the area for the rappers and their guests, spotting Minyoung who just smirked and let them all in. Changbin could already see Haknyeon look up from where he was cuddled up against Eric, his mouth dropping open when he realised. The boy quickly jumped up, Eric also realising. Changbin quickly saw the shine in Haknyeon's eyes and knew already. "HAKNYEON, HE CONFESSED???? Changbin shouted.
"CHANGBIN, YOU CONFESSED?" Haknyeon yelled back, Changbin chuckling as Haknyeon ran up to him. The others just stood back to watch the two friends excitedly share their tales. Eventually, Eric and Haknyeon left to get some more drinks and also confirm to Wooyoung everything so he'd stop spamming their phones.
Changbin sat down, smiling when Minho curled up against him, Seungmin somehow being convinced onto Jisung's laps while Felix and Jeongin sat in the love seat, Hyunjin lying across their laps. As he thought back to CB97, a sudden realisation crashing into his brain.
Minyoung came back, joined by Jacob. Changbin just needed a confirmation of their last name because he pretty much knew who CB97 was. He turned to Minyoung, watching them drop onto the couch while Jacob sat on the arm.
"Hey Minyoung, what's your family name?" Changbin asked, Minho looking up at him with confusion before his eyebrows furrowed when he slowly realised what Changbin was thinking about.
"It's Bang." Minyoung said softly before they realised themselves. Just as soon as they realised, Chan opened the door, Minyoung whipping their head to him. Chan smiled hesitantly, probably knowing Minyoung was about to throttle him.
"Uh, surprise??" Chan said, still smiling before Minyoung burst into laughter, Jacob also laughing. Changbin found it way too contagious and eventually, all of them were laughing hysterically, not even stopping when Sangyeon entered, concern evident on his face.
"Channie is CB97, the mystery is solved." Jacob managed to get out, Minyoung calming down before standing up. They pushed Chan to the couch, whispering something which made him blush. Minyoung waved to them all before linking arms with Jacob, Minyoung whispering to him as they left.
"Uh, hi." Chan said awkwardly, cheeks bright pink still. Changbin just wanted to kiss him, hold him and be with him for the rest of his life. He knew what he had to do and as he glanced at the others, all of them giving a small nod.
"We all like you romantically and hope that you want to maybe be our boyfriend?" Changbin asked, Chan smiling widely at them. He blinked and looked at them all to see if this was a cruel prank. When realising it wasn't, his smile somehow got even wider and lovelier when his eyes also joined the smile. A dimple appearing, causing a soft 'he's way too cute' from Hyunjin.
"Hell yeah." Chan said, Hyunjin cheering. Changbin got up, Chan smiling so lovely at him as he headed towards him. Changbin sat next to him, Chan moving his hands up to hold his face, thumbs softly stroking his cheekbones.
"STOP DEPRIVING OUR BOYFRIEND, CHANGBIN!!!" Jisung yelled, Changbin laughing before softly placing his lips on Chan's, feeling the older grin into the kiss. He ignored the cheers of the others as he held Chan's waist, Chan giggling when Changbin skimmed his hand along a ticklish bit. Changbin smirked, skimming his hand along that area of his waist once again.
Chan pulled back, laughing loudly when Changbin begin to tickle him, Felix joining Changbin in the act, the others soon following. Chan begged for mercy, only getting it when Sangyeon entered the area.
"Changbin, you're up next." He announced, Changbin nodding and straightening out his outfit. He got a quick kiss for good luck from Seungmin, shocking him but making him elated as he headed onto the stage.
He saw the crowd cheering for him, recognising many of his friends in the crowd. Yeonjun and Serim were screaming his name, Haknyeon joining in from where he was with Eric, Minyoung, Jacob and Sunwoo. Wooyoung had San on his shoulders, the boy screaming his name so loudly his lungs were close to combustion, doing so to make up for Wooyoung not being able to be as loud as he wanted to be.
But most importantly, he heard his boyfriends yell his name, Chan and Minho cheering out his full name, Jisung screaming out about how he was dating that man, Hyunjin yelling out 'SPEAR B' with Felix while Seungmin and Jeongin screamed Binnie at the top of their lungs.
"EVERYONE, LET'S CHEER EVEN LOUDER FOR THE EXCELLENT SPEARB!!!" the DJ yelled, Changbin taking a deep breath.
"MAKE US PROUD, CHANGBIN-AH!!!" Minho yelled, Changbin smiling. And with that, he began to give his best performance yet as he thought about his 7 boyfriends.
For love wasn't as difficult as it seems.
