“Except you can’t say no,” Edward purrs. “You’re too fond of me and you’re not immune to my big pleading green eyes.”
“Nygma,” Bruce growls.
“No, no, Eddie! Your dearest Eddie whom you love with all your heart and soul and for whom you’d-”
“We are absolutely not booby-trapping the commissioner’s office. Stop looking at me like that.”
“Brucie, Brucie, Brucie. Of course we’re booby-trapping the commissioner’s office. Look!”
“Where did you even get that? Put the Jell-O down. I don’t care what you thought up. And I really don’t want to know what else is in that bag.”
Edward whines. “You do want to, and you do care! You care about your Eddie, don’t you?”
“Less and less every second.”
“How about this?”
“Wh- no. Edward, put that down this instant.”
“Bullock’s office then?” The green eyes take a turn for the tearful.
Bruce hesitates.
Edward pounces. “I knew you couldn’t say no to me!”
