385 years I was in the Demon Realm. God, I do not miss it there, but I know I have to return and finish my business there, along with finally killing the other human Luz. For now, I must stay here, recovering what is left of me.
After arriving at the Human Realm, I stalked Luz’s house for anything, watching through the windows. Thankfully, they did not seem to be planning on anything, just recovering after what had happened. Hunter and Luz however, seemed stressed. They were talking about Hunter’s true nature as a Grimwalker and how Luz helped me find the Collector.
I decided I had enough, their stress was only buying me more time. I left Luz’s abode and slid down into the sewers, exploring Gravesfield’s underground. It was a lot different that I remembered, they now had roads, libraries, a school, and they even demolished the treehouse Caleb and I used to go to when we were children. Everything changed so fast, but at least our history hasn’t. When I was exploring the town, I noticed the “Gravesfield Historical Society” had records of Caleb and I’s hunts. It was... flattering to say the least, to think that we were both that important to this town to even have a statue of us.
But alas, I still had to regain form. I started off with a couple of small insects and bugs, draining and possessing them to get a better view of the town. There hadn’t seemed to be any clear way to come back to the Isles, at least for now. I knew Evelyn had to have hid the Titan’s Blood somewhere, but I was not sure where.
There were also some remnants of magic around the town, likely because of Edalyn. There were some leftover Hexes Hold’em cards in some of the shops, some half powered training wands, and a few possessed rats, in fact one of them even tried to eat me before I evacuated the worm I was possessing. I tried consuming some of those magic remnants, but it was too raw for me to handle. For now, I’ll have to stick with animals, especially since I’m starting to be able to possess deer.
Perhaps I could use the deer to ram into their car? It would be efficient to kill them all in one fell swoop, but I still need them to lead me to a portal. Plus, I’ve already been hit by a car twice as a deer, now I know just how fragile bodies could be.
However, I realized something! I remembered how Hunter managed to cut open one of his fingers, exposing his wound. Thankfully, he was all alone in that decrypted house with Evelyn’s palisman. I left a bit of my goop on the ground, and he managed to pick it up! Immediately, I started to take over his body, slowly consuming him and his mind. I’ll be back Boiling Isles, just you wait...
