“Are you sure?” Cyno asks aloud, “We won’t be returning for a while.”
“Yes. I am ready.” Razor responds from behind his brother. Cyno had ended up staying a few days longer than he initially intended. After the mini bombshell of his apparent long lost sibling, he decided to try to bond with him.
Apparently Cyno has a talent for finding orphaned children in Mondstadtt and taking them home.
He wrote to Tighnari the day before, telling the other that he would be returning to Sumeru later than expected due to interesting circumstances. Cyno had not specified what circumstances those would be and only realized his mistake that morning.
Tighnari going to be pissed when he shows up with another kid.
On that note, he was also kidnapping his brother for the foreseeable future. Cyno and Lisa had worked out a deal of sorts. Razor had lived his whole life in Mondstadt, Cyno didn’t want to just take him away from any connections he had. The solution? Essentially joint custody.
“You got everything you need then?” Cyno turned around as he put his cloak on. Razor looked in the bag Lisa had given him once more before nodding. They were just outside the gates of the city, preparing for their final moments in the nation of freedom before leaving.
“WAIT UP!”
The two paused and looked towards the source of the voice calling for them. Razor's friends, Bennett and Fischl, Cyno had learned, were running towards them.
“Lupical.. Need something?” Razor tilted his head. He had a brother for exactly 2 days and if anything happened to him, he would fist fight Celestia himself.
“I, Fischl, Prinzessin Der Verurteilung, humbly grace you with my presence in an act of farewell. May we one day be fated to meet again and our paths will cross in that good circumstance.” Fischl called as she put her hands on her hips and tilted her head up.
Cyno didn’t see the bird around to translate, so they all stood in silence for a moment before Bennett spoke up.
“I’ll miss you too! You gotta tell us all about Sumeru when you get back.” He exclaimed, seemingly having deciphered what his friend had said. Razor nodded and sped towards them. The other two immediately opened their arms for a group hug.
After a few more goodbyes, the two brothers continued on their way. Cyno was reminded of when he first brought Collei to Sumeru. It took about 4 days to get there and it was a tiring journey.
Maybe this time he won’t scare his companion everytime he attempts a joke.

Turns out, Razor does not understand humor very well. Which is perfect considering Cyno over explains his jokes like a madman.
They had finally made it back to Sumeru, having to take a detour through Liyue due to some issues in Fontaine. Cyno breathed a sigh of relief at seeing Gandharva Ville in the distance. They would be staying there for the time being, occasionally going to Sumeru City and eventually the desert at some point.
Razor silently followed his brother as they made their way to Tighnari’s house, hoping he was there.
“Oh! Mr. Cyno!” A feminine voice called from nearby. The two turned in sync to the source of the noise, noticing Collei running up to them.
“Master Tighnari is out right now but he’ll be back within the next half hour.” She paused, wanting to say more. Cyno picked up on what she was going to ask and grabbed a letter and a box from his bag.
“This is from Amber. She also wanted me to tell you that you should visit soon. However, don't overwork yourself, you still haven’t completely recovered.” Collei grabbed the items excitedly and vibrated in place. “Yes! Of course, thank you!” She smiled.
It was then that Collei took notice of the boy peeking out from behind the general. She wanted to inquire about it but wasn’t sure if that would be rude…
“You know other red girl…?” Razor asks, intrigue in his tone. Cyno watched Collei’s expression change to confusion before lighting up.
“OH! You mean Amber?” Razor nodded, waiting for her to continue, “She’s the best! She saved me a while ago… I admire her a lot!” Collei paused, her face flushing.
“AH uh. Sorry about that…. Um What’s your name?”
Silence stretched on for a moment, Cyno deciding to step in before it gets more awkward.
“This is Razor. He’s my brother and he's visiting from Mondstadt.” Collei looked a little dumbfounded, trying to process the fact that Cyno had a brother and he was just in another nation this whole time?
“Collei! Oh Cyno, you’re back… and…” Everyone’s thoughts were abruptly cut off due to a new person joining the conversation. Tighnari walked closer, looking at Razor in confusion, glazing to Collei’s items, before finally glaring at Cyno.
“...Did you kidnap another child from Mondstadt?”
Razor tilted his head, trying to understand what Tighnari meant. Collei put her hand to her mouth, attempting to hold back her laughter. Cyno just stared at his companion, thinking of a reply.
“....”
“yes.”
Collei burst out laughing at the response. Razor inched his way over to her and asked what was so funny. Which only caused her to laugh harder.
“Collei… go open your gifts from Amber. Cyno. Who is this??” Tighnari sighed as he gestured to the boy. Collei walked away, her laughter having calmed down quite a bit, Cyno walked back over to his brother and put his hand on the other’s shoulder.
"This is my brother. Razor."
"I thought you were an only child."
"I thought I was too."
"And you just found him??"
"Yes. Before you punch me, I would like to clarify that this is Lisa's fault. Also," Cyno grabbed his brother and pushed him forward, "Can you blame me? Look at him…"
Razor, having been watching the two go back and forth, finally decided to speak up.
"You are lupical, wolf guy?" Tighnari and Cyno paused and looked at him. Cyno's usually bored expression looked at him with adoration and Tighnari just looked confused.
"Lu..pi.? What? I'm a fox, not a wolf." Razor nodded in understanding.
"Yes then. Fox is lupical." Cyno grabbed Tighnari by the shoulders and shook him.
"He considers you family, you should be honored" He whispered yelled to his partner.

Even though Tighnari was initially annoyed at the appearance of another random kid, Razor had grown on him.
Both Collei and Razor were around the same age and Tighnari had learned that Razor was also not the most literate person out there. By no means was he saying Lisa was a bad teacher, Razor was actually able to read a bit better than Collei.
While they were still awkward around each other, the two immensely helped one another in their studies. While Razor assisted Collei with reading, she helped him with writing and learning to speak properly.
However, They seemed to really connect when one of their pyro wielding friends was brought up. Tighnari could hear them chatting about their companions for hours into the night.
It was really nice seeing Collei gain another friend, especially one she could see more often and relate to. Cyno was definitely happy at seeing the two socialize.
Tighnari was a bit hesitant to admit it (he really just didn’t want to give Cyno the satisfaction and teasing rights), but it felt as if they’re little group was a family. It wasn’t a traditional one by any means, but it felt right.
