Severus Snape woke up in his 9 year old body, he would be 10 in a few weeks. He doesn’t know how he knows this, he just does. Don’t question it…
He knows the logical move to leave the house is get another. He knows he can claim the Prince lordship. So he knows he needs to go to Gringotts. So he goes to the park.
”Hey Lily!”
”Yes Sev?”
”When do your parents expect you back home?”
”Just in time for dinner. Why?”
”Up for a trip to Gringotts?”
”How will we get there?”
”The Knight Bus.”
”Okay!”
So they get on the bus and head to the Leaky Cauldron. They go up to the bar to talk to Tom.
”Hey Tom, my mother was supposed to take us into the alley today but couldn’t make it and asked us to go without her. Think you could tap on the brick for us?”
”Sure lad!”
So he taps the brick and they head on their way. They talk as they walk.
”Why are we going to Gringotts?” asked Lily.
”We’re going to take an inheritance test.”
”What’s that?”
”An inheritance test tells what bloodlines you are a part of and therefore what vaults you have claim to.”
”Why are we taking one?”
”My mom’s maiden name is Prince. She is apart of the oldest pure blood family out there. As the last member I have claim to the lordship.”
”Oh!”
”Yes. And quite a few Muggleborns learn that the squib they were descended from was apart of a pure blood house and as the last remaining member are able to claim the title.”
”So I can be a Lady!”
”Exactly.”
By then they had reached Gringotts and were quite unnerved. The goblins were smiling.
”Here to take an inheritance test?” asked the goblin.
”Yes.”
So the goblin, whose name they learned was Ragnok, had them sign their full names and prick their fingers. The two friends decided to read them one at a time.
