Summary
When Draxum’s lab goes down in flames, Lou Jitsu is only able to escape with one turtle, not four.
Distraught over his failure, he’s determined to make it up by pouring everything he has into raising his remaining son right. Mikey grows up with a loving father, but also as an only child, and after hearing stories about his brothers who were lost that night, can’t help but want to believe they’re still out there.
Elsewhere, Draxum discovers a soft shell turtle among the rubble.
Elsewhere, Cassandra Jones finds a mutant turtle afraid of being alone and declares him her brother.
Elsewhere, Big Mama gets her hands on a strange turtle with Lou Jitsu’s blood running through his veins.
They grow up separated and with vastly different parental figures but one thing is inevitable: Family has a way of finding each other.
(Or Mikey stays with Splinter; Donnie is left behind in the lab with Draxum; Raph is raised alongside Cassandra Jones, and Leo ends up getting picked up by Big Mama. Many things change but some things stay the same.)
