Chapter Text
Yeah, so Jin was kicked out of her very own fucking apartment, what was she possibly supposed to do about it? Nothing , she could do absolutely nothing about it at all. She could not do shit, and that was what had made it all worse. And she felt like she was going to punch something or even break it. Because she did not want to feel useless , and it was for the dumbest thing ever, because being useless had meant that she was weak, and Jin did not want to be weak. She wanted to prove herself, she wanted to sound stronger than she was, but she just had to get kicked out of her own fucking apartment.
Creators , that stupid, dumb, nosy and very much annoying piece of- no. It was fine. Breath . No need for her to just let it all out in her very own thoughts. She can just curse him out all she wants later. Maybe not actually. She was just less likely to even see that guy again than curse him out in the first place. But that was all just besides the point. Let her just… let her just get this over with.
That stupid landlord did not even try to give her a week or maybe even a little bit more than that, just so she can go and find a new place to stay or something like that. Nope , not at all. Because nothing has to ever go right, and now here she was, out in this stupid street, just wandering around town, with most of her items, all of them just barely even stuffed into a backpack and suitcase.
And now she had absolutely nowhere to go and nowhere to stay.
The landlord had just ever so slightly seemed to hate her for some reason, and she just did not quite know why… Well, maybe , just maybe , it was the noise complaints, the ones about there being the most random and loud sounds from her apartment in the middle of the night, thuds of her falling from the window sill or something along those lines. She was not quite the best at entering her apartment silently, especially if it was after a really long day, okay ? Or, maybe it was the complaints about those overgrown plants in her balcony, the ones that she had said that she would get rid of soon enough, but she still never did. Those stupid neighbors just did not have any patience, did they? She told them that she would get rid of those fucking plants, and they just could not wait one bit. Or, maybe it was the complaints about-
You know what? She gets it. No more lists of things she may have possibly done for her to just get kicked out of her very own place. Jin. Got. The. Point.
But half of it was not really her fault. She was out of the little apartment most of the time, you can not just really blame it all on her. She was a busy person, okay ? It was just most definitely not even her fault that she was just out of the house most of the time, unlike those dumb neighbors who did not have anything to do in their damn lives, so they just put their noses in every single thing Jin does. And it was almost as if it was just pure jealousy. Well, maybe not, but there was no other reason for them to be so nosy.
And now here she was; kicked out of her very own apartment, walking around these stupid damn streets in the middle of a winter day. And Creators , do these streets look terrible. And now all she needs to do is to find a little place to stay, or maybe someone to even help her because she does not even know how long she can stay out here.
But the thing is, there was just absolutely nobody who could help her at all. Because she does not talk to people in the first place. Because friends were dumb and all they do is know little information about you, then use it against you. Because people do not last for long in the first place, just like the last six other copies and clones of Tamara, and they were all just as stupid as the first one. Besides, Seven would be all annoying about it, as he always is, then he would just keep screaming and making fun of her for getting kicked out in the first place. And after all of that, what was he going to do about it? Tell her to fuck off and take care of her own issue? Uh , no thanks. Jin would rather pass on this one.
Now back to the main issue here, there was absolutely no one else to help her out! Because Jin did not usually talk to people, and when she did, it was that one stupid underground hero, which she had maybe enjoyed the company of- No ! In fact, Jin hated the guy. He was simply terrible, and maybe even stinky if you got close enough to him, and she hated him. But that was just besides the point. And when Jin did talk to the guy, they were not even Jin for the sake of the Creators ! She was just Ender . It was stupid, and she can not even do shit and just Jin. Because Ender has to be all that. Because Ender has to have this big ego and go all out. And Jin was not Ender.
She is literally just going to just die alone if it keeps on going at this pace. The thing is, right? She just do not want to die like this . Her death should just simply be… important . It should just simply affect anyone and everyone, because just the thought of losing her is just so terribly sad, and everyone should just grieve her death. And the idea of dying because of the lack of an apartment… ehhh , not so exciting is it? ‘Moon-Jin dies in the street’ or something along those lines, that was just simply plain and boring. Or maybe she would even go with those stupid missing posters that are hung up everywhere, the thought of it had just made her shiver. No, how about she does not die in that way, actually.
Jin just- she kind of just wanted to have a little tiny itsy bitsy bit of a dramatic death, if that had made any sense. She does not want to just have a simple and useless one in the middle of the street where no one at all would be there, and all of it would happen just because she does not have a stupid apartment. She wants to give a little ending monologue to her loved ones, if that was anyone actually. And it would all be there just for her to say her last goodbyes, and then maybe she would just do the most dramatic gestures ever, like those ones in those sad movies. And then maybe, just maybe she would tell Seven to fuck off and die or something, if he could even do that again without… coming back? She did not really know. Oh ! It would even be even more sadder than the fucking Titanic or… Wall-E or something like that, she thinks. And then she would- okay, maybe she should probably stop thinking of how she wants to die and try to find somewhere to stay. She is getting off track here.
It is going to start raining or something like that soon, and that definitely would not end well at all for her at all actually. Nothing against the rain, of course! It is just that… you would just always get all moist, and your clothes would always just keep on getting wet and they would just stick to your body, and it just always gets so very uncomfortable, and then your hair would just get all damp, and then it would always just fall in front of your eyes, and then you just would just feel ever so slightly anxious about yourself, and-
[ -AND YOU WILL GET SPRAYED WITH IT FOR NOT DOING WELL AND IT HURTS IT FUCKING HURTS IT HURTS SO VERY MUCH AND IT BURNS IT BURNS IT FUCKING BURNS AND IT IS SO VERY PAINFUL AND- AND- YOU DID NOT- YOU DO NOT- YOU DID NOT MEAN TO- YOU WILL DO BETTER- YOU PROMIS- YOU WILL BE BETTER- PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE- ]
-and all of your items would just get soaked. So she would just rather pass on walking out here in the rain for hours, just so she can find a new place to stay. Maybe even a hotel, but those were located miles away from where she was right now.
To her luck, finally something good that is happening in this hell of a day, she was able to spot a familiar book shop, and it was not so far away from her. Maybe the owner would allow her to stay there until the rain stops, if it ever stops in this hell of a day. But she was just slowly getting soaked, and the rain was only getting heavier and heavier. Oh, Jin is definitely getting a cold because of this.
She enters the shop with a sneeze. It was just so very cold , she hated it. She absolutely hated every single bit about it. And why did the weather just have to be like this. Her hands were already numb and ever so faintly shaking from the sudden change in weather. Her nose was cold and probably red by now, with the slightest feeling of sneezing, but there was the littlest bit of warmth from her mask, even though it was already soaking wet, which had made ever so slightly it hard to breathe, but it was fine. It. Was. Fine.
Her hair was also soaked, dripping onto her back from where it was tied up, and bangs sticking to her forehead, maybe even falling on her eyes, black hair mixing through blond strands, and oh dear Creators , her curls were probably all tangled up now, and that is most definitely going to be a pain to take care of. Her clothes were damp, sticking to her body, making it all feel ever so slightly tight around her, and making her feel very much very uncomfortable right now. And all of her damn items were wet, well… if you just do not count the things inside the suitcase, which she was so very glad that it was just waterproof. And the biggest headache ever was just so very quickly making its way into her head, and it was just giving her that ever so slight sensation of being dizzy, as well as a weird feeling of heat in her eyes, and making her feel as if she were about to pass out any second now.
This is definitely not going to end well.
“Oh my goodness, are you okay? Why were you out in the rain? Are you cold? Are you-” a woman who they had just assumed to be the owner of the shop, or at least one of the workers, had just ran up to her, asking tons of questions as she had just looked up at Jin. She had quickly moved from that front counter of the store, all the way over to the door of the shop where Jin was just standing there, her body just ever so slightly shivering, just a little bit.
“I- yeah yeah, I’m alright, it’s just- it’s just rain” she had basically stated the obvious, but the woman had only replied with a sigh, turning off that extremely cold air conditioning and turned back to her. She had continued to looked Jin in the eyes with that same ever so slightly concerned look, bright emerald green eyes staring into her own maroon-ish brown ones. And there was just something that had felt ever so slightly wrong about it. And maybe it was just that she did not like the way that she had been looking at her. Or maybe it was just the look that she had been giving them. Or maybe it was just the fact that she did not like how she had been looking her in the eyes in the first place. And it had somewhat made it feel harder to breathe. And Jin was just ever so slightly getting overwhelmed from the wordless interaction. And what if she was just judging her in her mind? And what if-
The book shop door had just opened again behind her with a soft ring. And the sound of an umbrella somewhat opening and closing was just heard.
“Yo Del. Sorry m’late, rain got in the way and everythin’” the brunette who had just walked through the door had spoken up, somewhat only seeming to just focus on the umbrella that did not want to close. He let out a noise of frustration, just as the woman who was standing in front of Jin had walked over to him, grabbing the item, and then closing it with a simple movement, giving the tired teenager a specific look that Jin was just unable to comprehend, one which he had just returned with a simple roll of his eyes.
Jin had recognized the shorter, Andrés Underscore, one of the workers at the shop and a kind of friend of hers. Or at least she thinks so.
Listen, she had a complicated relationship with Andrés. The two of them had first met at this very same store that the brunette works at. Jin had just wanted to buy a comic of some sort and had just needed some help, and Andrés did help the taller out. But then she had given him her phone number because she had suddenly needed to leave. Okay, no . She does not just give out her own phone number to random people she just meets in book shops like that, alright ? It was just simply an urgent matter, the phone call she means, and she had a reason for it. And besides, she really needed that delivery. Okay maybe not really , but she wanted the Technoblade comics, alright? They are fun to read, despite being against the guy in a way… whatever .
But ever since then, there had been just some sort of bond between the two of them, they would just click, just like that, if you just try to ignore the amount of bickering between the two, and how Andrés was ridiculously reckless, and how Jin had seemed to be the only responsible one out of the two. But that was fine. It was fun most of the time, and Andrés would force Jin to pay for their dinner sometimes when they order something, and he would just always refuse to order pizza, and it was just because of his same exact and stupid excuse. Every. Single. Time. He would just go up to Jin and he would be complaining about how he had to pay for this person’s pizza, and for some reason it had happened every single fucking week. Nothing Jin would know about, so she can not really say anything against him, she would just nod and pay, already knowing his stupid excuse.
“Hi Jin…” the brunette had finally acknowledged the taller, trailing off once he had finally looked up at her, and Jin could only purse her lips into a straight line while avoiding his eyes. This was probably not the best condition to see someone in; fully soaking wet while carrying two bags around, and somewhat shivering from how cold they were.
“Hi-” Jin starts, but she was just quickly cut off by a sneeze. Her own sneeze. And the woman from before had immediately turned back to her. Humming to herself for a second before turning her back around.
“Oh yes, I have a sweater in the back that you could change into and-” the woman starts, running her hands through her hair, just as she was opening the drawers of the front counter in the shop, but Jin had cut her off.
“Oh don’t worry ma’am, I uh, I have something to change into” she had spoken with a somewhat awkward smile, but it was not like the woman could see it anyway.
-
She has been in this book shop for hours, she thinks. And she had just spent it reading some of the many neatly drawn comic books, ones of The Blood God and so on, or maybe even somewhat listening to whatever Andrés and his boss Delilah were saying. Yes, she had finally learned her name from a conversation the two were having. But other than that, it was really boring, and she had absolutely nothing else to do.
But hey, at least they were finally changed out of her soaking wet clothes and into something warm she had found in her suitcase. Delilah had shown her a storage sort of room, just so she can change there. Although her hair was still dripping with a little bit of water, it was somewhat drier than before now, and that would do just fine. And just so her headache does not get any worse than before, she sat away from the air conditioning, near the far end of the store. She really did not want to get a cold, if she did not have one already. Because a cold would be terrible, and she did not want any accidents happening when she did not want them to, as the last time she was sick, Jin-
[ -YOU WERE IN A LAB A FUCKING LAB AND THEY WOULD PUNISH YOU FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO CONTROL YOUR FUCKING POWERS AND IT WAS JUST BECAUSE YOU SNEEZED AND YOU COULD NOT EVEN KEEP IN ONE STATE- DO NOT TELEPORT- DO NOT SHAPESHIFT- DO NOT- DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT- YOU WILL PRACTICE MORE YOU WILL DO BETTER YOU WILL TRY HARDER YOU WILL- YOU WILL- YOU- YOU WILL- ]
-as last time she was sick, Jin had been alone at home. And there was just no one there to see her fuck up with her stupid powers that she just could not control properly when sick. And there was just no one there to criticize her for everything she did and were not able to manage. And there was just no one there to even take care of her while sick in the first place. And there was just no one there to help her at all. There. Was. Just. No. One. There.
But she was not sick. Jin was just simply not sick at all. She was simply tired just because she had been up since early morning, quickly packing her items into her bags, and then walking around all day long. She was simply dizzy just because she had not eaten anything at all since morning as she was far too busy with other stuff to do that. She was simply cold just because the weather was terrible and also including the fact that it had rained while she was outside. And Jin. Was. Not. Sick.
To Jin’s luck, kind of, the two at the front desk did not even question why she was there in the first place. Andrés and Delilah would just kind of give her little glances from where they were having a conversation in the front, finding the tall teenagers somehow- just somehow sitting on of the chairs, legs curled up in front of her chest, head placed on top of her knees, and she was just sitting there, staring off into nothing but that ever so slightly broken tile on the floor. And she had just somehow managed to look so very small .
“Hey Jin” Andrés calls out as he slowly walked towards the taller, quickly grabbing her attention. And oh dear Creators she had probably looked so fucking tired, maybe even more than when she had seen herself in the mirror of the storage room. Her eyes were just heavy and somewhat red, her throat hurt her a lot, and she had looked way paler than before. And it was just so fucking cold . She had basically looked like a mess. There was just that stupid headache was just never leaving, and the ringing was endless in her ears, and it was just ever so slightly hard to breathe. And all that the brunette who had been standing in front of them could say was just a very simple “Oh Jesus Christ”.
Jin could only blink for a bit at that, and she had just ever so slightly visibly winced, just a little bit once the headache was quick to make its way to her head. And Creators it hurt, it fucking hurts . And it just had to be accompanied with that stupid and very slight feeling of passing out, and she had just felt so very dizzy. And it was cold. It was just so very cold, and she felt like she was just shivering in her own seat. And she had wanted to just close up on herself even more. But she just could not, because she can not just curl up on her own body even more than this .
Now what the hell was Jin’s issue with this. Why was she like this? Because Andrés had looked like he was absolutely fine in front of her, and he was not shaking at all, and he did not look like he was cold in the slightest , and he was not pale, and he did not seem dizzy or had the feeling of passing out at all. And He. Did. Not. Feel. Like. Jin.
But then again, her eyes had just felt ever so slightly blurry, the same feeling as if there were tears in your eyes and you feel like crying. But Jin was not crying, she was just not feeling the best, and that headache was beating the living shit out of her brain. But they were just not crying, there were just no tears in her eyes. No, that would mean that she was crying in front of Andrés and his boss, and that would mean that the two of them would think that she was weak, and she just did not want the two of them to think of anything about Jin. And Jin. Was. Not. Crying.
She was snapped out of her thoughts with a cool hand being placed in top of her forehead and all that Jin could do was just melt into that touch, because Creators that was nice, and it was just so very pleasant to her, and it had most definitely been better than anything for the past few hours. But the feeling was quickly gone when the hand was removed, and a somewhat warmer one was placed to that.
“Jin, you’re hot” Andrés spoke up, visibly wincing at the temperature of her forehead, and the tallers head had just dropped down once he removed his hand, as if she had been leaning on it.
“Mmmm, you can’t jus’ say that t’ people” Jin slurs out, and oh dear Creators she was definitely not okay. No, not in the her being sick way. It was just- her lack of sleep was just catching up to her, okay? She was not- she was just not sick. Jin was not sick.
“What- Jin, no- that’s not-” Andrés just says, cutting himself of a couple of times, clearly caught off guard by what Jin had said. But then again, she was pretty sick, and she had probably not realized what she was saying. And with a sigh, the brunette continues “You are sick, Jin”.
“No, m’not” Because Jin was right, she is not sick. Nope ! Not at all.
“Jin” Andrés had just scolded her, and that was probably the last thing that she had actually progressed in her mind.
-
Andrés was not a nice type of person, he really was not. Quite the opposite of that if you think about it hard enough, maybe one would see right away, or something like that. Rowan’s words, not his. But that was all just besides the point. And it would just be straight up cruel if he had left Jin in the store while she was sick. And then Rowan would do their whole lecture thing about how he should be a hero and help people out, not just leave them sick and helpless in a book shop that he works at, out of all people. And besides, Andrés was familiar enough with Jin, he could surely help her until she gets better.
And so he did. Because if he did not, he would have to leave poor sick Jin with Delilah, and she would just stand there helpless because she did not know what to do, especially when it was just random teenagers that enter her shop midway through a whole lot of rain, and she was sick and had a fever, and she was also in denial about it for absolutely no reason at all. And besides, Andrés lives way closer to the book shop than Delilah does. And yet, Delilah does not even have a car, and she just always takes the subway. Trust him he did not know how she was one of the best heroes in the city, yet she still did not have her own car. She could drive and all, just… no car. But he is getting off track here,
So he walked all the way back to his apartment, this time Jin with him, who was just ever so slightly leaning on the shorter, mostly humming to themselves about god knows what, and Andrés was just unable to recognize what she was mumbling about. At least Delilah had allowed him to leave early, which would mean that he would not get in trouble for not staying the whole shift at work, which would mean that he has a shit ton of stuff to explain to Rowan; who Jin is, what happened to her, why she was in the apartment, why she was in the book shop in the first place, how did she get sick, and all of that bullshit. He did not really want to deal with his roommates' worry, but he could not really ignore them.
God he does not even know if this is going to end well or not.
Andrés struggles as he enters his very own apartment, pushing the door open with one hand and helping Jin in with the other. He had closed the umbrella they both had shared all the way here a while ago, once they had entered the building, actually. But the only issue here was not even him basically carrying Jin all the way from the book shop to the building he lives in. No, not at all actually. It was just that she had only seemed to get worse by every single second that had passed and Andrés just did not know what to do.
Rowan seems to notice once he enters the apartment, poking their head from the kitchen and to the entrance, only giving Andrés a confused look as he helps Jin onto the couch. And oh dear god, he can already expect the endless amount of questions they are going to ask him in just a second. But he can not just worry about Rowan’s stupid worries right now, because Jin was sick, and she was in a somewhat denial state about it, and she is now just laying on the couch, limp for some reason, while getting slightly worse as the time passes. Maybe walking around in the cold was not the best option, but what could he do?
“Andrés, who’s this? Why are they here? You could’ve at least told me you were bringing someone, are they okay? Are-” Rowan had started their thread of never ending questions, but Andrés was quick to cut them off with a simple gesture, telling them to stop. And they did, now looking at their roommate, just to see what he was going to do. And all Andrés does, was just head out of the living room and into the kitchen, leaving both Jin and Rowan in the living room. One of them laying on the couch, and just staring at the ceiling. While the other was just standing there, waiting for Andrés to come back into the room and do whatever he was going to do before.
-
Jin had woken up with the biggest headache she had ever gotten in what seemed to be years . It was slightly worse from before she had gone to sleep, and- Wait. When the hell did she go to sleep, because the last thing she had remembered was being at that book shop, and Andrés was there, as well as his boss that she might have just forgotten the name of, Del- something something, she did not really know. Jin was always bad with names anyway, you can not really expect her to know names all that well, especially when it was people that she did not hang around with or talk to that much.
But now she was in an apartment? Jin did not really know, she was not quite sure of anything at all actually. But if this was some sort of kidnapping attempt, it was clearly terrible. Because when people kidnap others, they do not usually put two blankets over you. And they do not usually have you laying down on a couch with around two or three pillows around you. And they do not usually have a bottle of tylenol, a glass of water, and some sort of yellow-ish brown liquid with a little wooden spoon inside it, that had just spread out the slightest smell around the room, and Creators , it had smelled sweet. But no kidnapper would just put all of those items right there, sitting so very still on a coffee table not so far away from the couch. And they do not usually have a cold towel over your forehead, and oh dear Creators , that does feel ever so extremely nice at the moment.
Jin blinked through tears, as she had just started at the ceiling. She did not know why there were tears in her eyes, because she was not crying. There was just no reason for Jin to cry. Then why was she crying? It was probably that sting in her eyes, because there was nothing for her to cry about, and Jin does not just cry about anything, because that would make her weak and she is not weak. Jin was not weak, and she does not cry. Because that would just be stupid, and crying right now does not have a reason at all.
“Jin?” A voice calls, and it sounds so very familiar and yet it still does not. She recognizes it, she has heard the voice before, so many times before this, but she does not know, she does not know anything at all, because she never knows anything, and that is just stupid. Because she is supposed to know, but she does not, and that is the issue with everything. And this. Is. All. Because. A. Person. Spoke .
It is bullshit really. But that was just how Jin is. And Jin can not help but think of stuff that way. And Jin just can not stop. And it was just her fault, because that is just how she is and she can never escape those thoughts. Because she is Jin, not anybody else. And this was how Jin was. And when she was anybody else, she escapes all of that, and she plays that fun little character of hers, and it is always so very nice, because she just does not have too worry about her civilian self problems, because as her little character, she was not Jin. And Ender was the opposite of Jin. Nice, awkward, tall and weak Jin, would just quickly be replaced by dramatic, sassy and snarky Ender.
Total opposites, but somehow- just somehow, they were the very same person, and no one would know that, because no one would deserve to know that, and no one deserves to know what Jin is going through, and no one deserves to know about the lab, and no one wants to know about that living hell that had literally ruined Jin’s fucking life. Because she did not ask for this. She did not ask for these stupid powers, and she did not ask to be any different than anybody else, and she did not ask to go through the hell, and she did not ask to-
“Jin” the voice speaks again, and this time Jin finally opens her eyes. She tilts her head slightly, just enough to face the speaker and she is met with a pair of familiar yellow-ish eyes. And those eyes had always reminded Jin of those nuclear caution signs, and those eyes had always reminded Jin of those bright yellow acids, and those eyes had always reminded Jin of that bright neon yellow color she sees most of the time. But she does not stare for long, she can not do that for long, she never does that for long, because it had always felt somewhat wrong, and it had always seemed to make them think too much. And yeah, maybe Jin was uncomfortable with eye contact. So she moved her gaze to the person’s dark eyebrow.
A warm hand takes that cold wet towel off her forehead, making her miss the slight cool touch of it, but she could not just stay here. No, she had to leave, because this was not her place, and she was probably bothering Andrés because this might be his place. She was being a burden, and she had to leave, and she did not want to annoy anyone. Because this was literally Andrés’s house, or at least she thinks so, which is most likely true because his jacket was hung on a chair, and he was in different clothing than when Jin had last seen him before she passed out(?) went to sleep(?) she did not really know, and she had somewhat not even bothered to care.
She had also noticed that Andrés had a metal part of his arm, and Jin does not really know if she had noticed that before or not, but it was there now, and it was fine, because there was probably some sort of accident. And she should stop looking at it, because that would be very rude. And Jin does not really want to be rude, especially when Andrés was literally helping her here, and they had gotten out of their somewhat denial state about being sick, because she had just might have been sick, but it was only a maybe though, and-
Okay everything hurts. Way worse than before. And maybe she was sick, but there was no reason for it because she had only walked outside in the rain, and-
Fine, she was sick.
She lets out a shaky exhale as she looks back at Andrés, and she tries to do something, anything, but she just could not. And her voice had seemed to be somewhat gone, but she could not really be too sure, she did not really try to speak, but Jin’s throat hurt her, and that was somewhat enough to tell.
The brunette in front of her just slightly moves, then places a cold metal hand to Jin’s forehead, and Andrés laughs at how Jin immediately melts into that, because Creators , that had felt nice. But Andrés removes his hand, because how would he feel Jin’s temperature with a fake metal hand. And that only makes a slight frown to quickly appear on Jin’s face, which causes the other to only smile a little more at that, before placing his other hand.
“You’ve still got a fever” Andrés spoke up quietly before placing a towel on her forehead again, this time it was a little bit colder than before, and it was nice, it had felt so very nice.
Jin only hums at that, moving her sight from meeting the brunette’s left eyebrow to somewhere behind his ear, and she seems to notice another person in the place. They were peeking a little from the corner of the room, standing behind a wall that had seemed to lead to a kitchen, before they disappeared behind it again.
There were a few clanks from in there, ones of metal on metal. And Jin knew when it was a clank of metal on metal. Metal spoons hitting metal pots in the kitchen, metal rods being hit against metal tables, metal locker doors being harshly closed, metal-
[ -METAL CHAINS THAT WAS WHAT THEY WERE- AND WHY DOES EVERYTHING JUST HAVE TO HURT WHY CAN NOTHING JUST BE NORMAL FOR ONCE- WHY WAS IT ALL JUST INVOLVED WITH PAIN- AND WHY IS IT SO FUCKING HARD FOR YOU TO JUST BE NORMAL FOR ONCE- AND WHY IS IT ALL SO FUCKING VIOLENT- AND WHAT DID YOU DO TO DESERVE THAT- AND WHY IS THERE ALWAYS AN ISSUE WITH EVERYTHING- AND WHY- ]
-metal nails being hit by metal hammers, and so many more examples of metal clicking against metal.
And she lets out a shaky breath. Focusing back to whatever Andrés was saying this entire time, then she just nods. Jin was not sure about what the hell he was just talking about, but it was probably just fine, and-
”Jin, why were you out in the rain all alone?”
