Work Text:

"I'm hoooome~!"

The sound of his voice booms through the building, informing every living being of his existence. Tsukasa kept one of his arms outstretched, with the other grabbing onto the door handle for dear life, as if he'd topple over had he let it go. His legs slightly wobbled as he swayed from side to side, as if he's dancing with himself.

From the kitchen, Nene, with her hair tied back in a high ponytail, leaned back to catch a glimpse of Tsukasa, right at her door. What the fuck is he doing here?, she wonders, putting down her knife on the chopping board and taking off her purple, polka dotted apron as she treads her way to the world star.

"Neeeeeneeeee!" He gleefully cheers at her arrival, walking out of the way of the door, causing it to close by itself. He outstretched his arms, as if anticipating a hug, but he made no attempt to even shuffle towards her to encapsulate her in it. "I love you sooooo much!"

Nene stared blankly at him, blinking rapidly as she pondered all the possibilities. Is he confessing his love to her? Surely not, he has a girlfriend... But what if he broke up with Emu? It was an unlikely matter, however, it was still fully possible. She noticed his cheeks were fully red, scattered in rosy blush. It was a rare sight to see him blush so frantically, so perhaps this was a love confession. Either way, engaged or not, she'd deny it anyway.

"Tsukasa, I'm engaged," she emptily replied, her eyes not breaking from his, creating the most awkward contact between them.

He gaped his mouth widely, almost like a cartoon character, and his eyes became saucers. He took out his hand and shook hers, "No way! Congrats!" Was he trying to be funny? Because she wasn't laughing, just oddly weirded out by his over exaggerated personality today.

All of a sudden, Rui dashed to the door, slamming it open. His breath was airy and his heart raced, the beat so loud that Nene could sense it somehow. He relaxed his arm on the door much like Tsukasa has earlier, trying to catch his breath.

"Tsukasa..." He gathered all his remaining strength to mutter, "He... he's drunk, Nene."

"What?!?"

"Drunk as hell."

It all made sense to Nene now. Of course he was drunk, there was no way a sober Tsukasa'd ever forget Nene was engaged, and not a chance in a million years in hell that he'd ever say he loves her so abruptly. Although, perhaps it was all those years that she had spent side by side with Tsukasa that got her so normalised to his more boisterous energy. She didn't want to admit it, but he had grown on her and left a special place in her heart for him.

Nene swiftly snapped out of her train of thought as she turned to Rui, "Why would you let him drink though? Especially so heavily?!"

"I thought it'd be fun," he simply answered, shutting his eyes and shrugging his shoulders. "I wanted to go to the bar for a bit of fun and Tsukasa insisted to tag along. It wouldn't be fair if I drank whilst he just watched."

"You should've let him just watch, y'know? Not leave it as 'Project: Tsukasa says goodbye to his reputation'."

"Hey, you have your experiments, and I have mine."

Tsukasa flopped down on the floor in boredom, his limbs swaying in different directions as he rolled from side to side like an idiot.

"Oh shit," Nene whispered under her breath.

Rui blinked in confusion. "What's wrong, babe?"

"I invited Emu over later to have diner with me here, what the fuck do I do about the blonde idiot flopping around like a fucking monkey on our floor?!"

"What if she finds drunk Tsukasa cute? Like a brain dead chihuahua, loud and annoying, but you can't help but love it for it?"

Nene slowly turned to face Rui, her gaze cold, yet it made Rui work up a sweat in fear. "Do you find that cute?" she hissed as she pointed at Tsukasa doing rolly pollies on the carpet and banging his face into the nearby table, while she refused to break eye contact with Rui's face.

"If he was a dog, you'd eat it up, you know?" He retorted, throwing a pout at her face.

"Look, we've got to do something about him, if we leave him like this, he'll end up killing himself by accident." Nene instructed.

Rui snickered, "Wouldn't it be better if that happened though?"

"Tell Emu that, I dare you."

Rui swallowed his words back as he tried to think up an idea as to how to deal with his drunken friend as it was partially his fault he was left in this state.

"Look, what if we just Google up some ideas as to how to take care of a drunk person?" Rui offered, taking his phone out of his pocket.

"Okay, okay, that's a good start," Nene breathed in and out as she walked up to Rui's side peering over his shoulder to see his phone screen. She then stared at him in partial disappointment and partial amusement, "Do you seriously not know how to spell 'care'?"

"What?"

"You spelled it with a 'K'."

"Oh that was a typo..."

"How? 'K' is on the other side of the keyboard compared to 'C'." Now her expression was pure amusement, staring at her fiancée with a mischievous expression.

Rui rolled his eyes and brooded, trying to stir attention away from his grammer blunder, "Okay, whatever, now, lets see what it says here... It says we should help him if he can't talk properly..."

"When CAN he talk properly, even when sober?" Nene half joked, causing Rui to chuckle slightly.

"..If he's doing weird stuff he doesn't normally do-"

"He definitely needs help then," Nene decided. "Look at him, poor oaf's going to cause his own death."

"Okay, we need to then 'be there for him'."

Rui handed the phone to Nene as he stepped his way towards Tsukasa, trying to pick him up off the ground. "Fuck, he's heavy as shit!" Rui gasped as he gathered both his arms to lift him off the ground by his hands.

"Ruiiiiiii!" Tsukasa growled, "Fuck offffffff!"

Rui and Nene stood in shock as they stared back at the drunk star who now had managed to bring himself to cross his legs and sit on the ground.

"Well, at least he's not rolling on the ground anymore," Nene shrugged.

Once again, Rui attempted to lift Tsukasa up, instead, attempting to carry him bridal style, one arm holding onto his back, the other trying to untangle his legs, then lift them up as well.

Now, Tsukasa was in Rui's arms, finally off the ground. "There is a god," Rui muttered under his breath.

Suddenly, Tsukasa turned to face Rui, his eyes blank and brows lightly furrowed. "Come here," he whispered as he grabbed Rui's chin, and got his other arm wrapped around his neck, swooping in for a chaste kiss, shocking everyone in the room except for himself.

"Mphh-!" Rui tried to say something through the kiss but couldn't as Tsukasa was kissing him right on the lips, quite passionately.

After a few seconds, Tsukasa retracted from the kiss, giggling to Rui as he said, "I kissed a boy~!"

"Tsukasa, you have a girlfriend!" Rui gasped when he regained his sense of reality.

"And he's my fiancée!" Nene yowled in pure disbelief. Was Tsukasa so drunk he'd kiss just about anyone?!

"Relax!" Tsukasa yelled to try and calm down the two lovers around him, "It was just a special kiss from THE world star!"

Nene shook her head as she tried to convince herself that she had not just witnessed Tsukasa rob her man. "Look, next on the list it says we need to offer him some food." She put the phone down on the table as she walked her way to the kitchen, looking through all the cupboards to try and find something booze-free that Tsukasa may like. She then looked back at her chopping board where the was prepping the diner her and Emu were meant to share. "Sorry, Emu, your boyfriend's an idiot," she whispered as she picked up some vegetables to hand to Tsukasa.

When she turned her back, Rui was already standing there in fear as he watched what she was holding, his legs shaking while Tsukasa, still in his arms, watching in awe at her.

"Keep your hair on, it's not for you," she reassured Rui, as he sighed in relief.

Rui trailed after Nene as she walked into the living room, tapping the edge of the couch as she stood beside it. "Place him here to sit down."

Immediately, Rui carefully lay Tsukasa down on the couch, as Nene lightly lifted his up to his side so Tsukasa was sitting up. She moved to be infront of him, bending to face him eye to eye as if he was a small child. She pointed the carrot towards his face.

"C'mon Tsukasa, just eat it, you'll feel better." She attempted to reassure him but he wouldn't budge. Now, he crossed his legs and arms as he gave her a pout.

Nene felt her eyes half shut themselves. "Are you fucking kidding..."

"What? What's wrong?"

Before Nene could answer Rui's question, she went to her chopping board and quickly chopped up the carrot, getting a fork out and taking all of it to the living room. She placed the chopping board on the table nearby, and forced the fork through a carrot slice, and pointed the fork towards Tsukasa's mouth.

"Say 'ahhh'..." she grumbled.

Tsukasa glared at the carrot piece, then moved his mouth forward to devour it, a smile creeping up on his face.

"He's trying to get under your skin," Rui giggled as he watched Tsukasa smile, while Nene continued to feed him as if he was her child.

"You wouldn't be laughing if it was you, would you?" She offered him a deadly glare, which made him bashfully scratch the back of his head.

She sighed to herself, staring at poor Tsukasa in pity. "At least he's the slightest bit better... Hold on, where are you going?"

Nene turned over to see Rui heading to the bathroom, hand over his mouth. He explained, "Got to wash lips, might as well do my teeth and face as well. God knows what he's touched with those lips."

"Fair enough. Just don't take long, we're taking turns in taking care of Tsukasa."

She broke her gaze from looking back at Rui, to face Tsukasa, who was now lightly hugging her waist, catching her by surprise. When had he slinked up to her? How did he do it so quietly? If only he could be this stealthy and quiet all the time... It was an unrealistic wish, but a girl can just hope.

"Nene..." He grumbled under his breath, snuggling his face closer to her stomach. It was a slightly adorable sight. He was so peaceful and calm now, and there was nothing that could happen that could possibly ruin this mome-

"Are you pregnant?"

Nene felt her jaw drop as she heard those words slip out of his mouth.

"I-I'm sorry?!"

"You're acting sooooooo nice, almost like a mom," he mumbled. "Are you expecting?"

"Why would you even think that?!"

"That's not a no..."

Her piercing purple eyes stared at him like daggers. She was going to lose her temper sooner or later. "No! I'm not!" She spat out, "It's because you're acting like a baby!"

All Tsukasa did was blankly stare back at her. Speechless for once, he breathed slowly in and out, just looking back at her fury inclined eyes.

She sighed heavily to prep herself before explaining to him, "Look, Tsukasa, Emu's coming over later, and I've got to sober you up before then. She's never seen you this drunk, fuck, she's never seen you drunk before."

"Okayyyyyyy, if you say sooooooooo..." Tsukasa groaned gently, relaxing his eyes to see Nene clearly.

Without warning, he got to his feet in the matter of a millisecond, and placed a firm chaste kiss on her lips.

Nene was stunned. Hell, that was an understatement. Astounded, startled, dumbfounded... Nothing could describe how she felt in that very moment. Obviously, there was nothing to feel - sure she loved Tsukasa, but as nothing more than a friend. They had known eachother for 5 years, since they had both been in Wonderlands X Showtime. There was no denying she deeply cared for him, so much so that her thoughts of the fond memories she had with him numbed away the kiss.

"Mwah~!" Tsukasa struck one of his star poses after he let his lips go from hers, as if he was staging something. "Now you have a special kiss from a star tooooooo!"

Nene blinked her eyes open as she glanced around her, taking in the sights. It felt like years since she was snapped back to reality.

"Don't you think Emu'll be jealous if she finds out you kissed both of us?" She lifted a brow as she looked him up and down, anticipating a swift answer from him. "Is that the same way you kiss Emu?"

Tsukasa tittered at her question, in what she believed to be an almost condescending way, had Nene not known better. "Noooooo, if you or Rui were Emu, I'd slip my tongue in, wouldn't I?"

"Why the fuck would you tell me that?!"

"You asked."

The moss-hair rolled her eyes at his snappy comeback. Really wish I didn't, she pondered to herself.

"Look Tsukasa, keep eating this stuff and take a lay down, you need to sober up, Emu's coming at 5- HOLY FUCK IT'S 4:57"

Nene spun around in circles on the spot, contemplating as to what she has to do next. What can she do now?! Emu was coming over in 3 minutes, possibly less as their clock was set on the wrong time, and Tsukasa was still mostly drunk. She dashed over to her and Rui's shared room and chucked out a random blanket. She shoved that blanket on the couch, and pointed at it to Tsukasa.

"Sit," she ordered, her eyes practically stabbing him with her deadly gaze.

Within a matter of seconds, he did just as he was told, taking a lay down on the couch.

"God, I have nothing to serve her, what do I d-"

Ding, dong...

"I hate myself."

Legs shaking, Nene reached to the door to open it to her guest. A flash of bright pink, long hair was visible from outside the door, sitting neatly on Emu's head. Her eyes were as shiny and hopeful as her hair, and she wore a beautiful blue flower printed dress, with adorable purple bows tied around her neck and waist. She was a little beam of sunshine that could light up a room. God, I'm so sorry in advance, Nene's brows bent downwards at the ends in pity for her friend.

"Nene~!" The cheerful girl shot up in joy at the sight of her dear friend, pulling her in for a hug.

"E-Emu!" Nene felt obliged to call out her guest's name, but could hardly do so since Emu was practically crushing her lungs.

The pink haired girl walked into the building, taking in all the sights she could see; however, Nene didn't understand what she was looking for, as their apartment was nothing special.

"Wooah! You've got so much space in here!" she called out, voice booming through the room. "It's bigger than the one Tsukasa and I have!"

"I suppose so..." Nene unconsciously agreed to what Emu said, not actually taking in the words.

"Speaking of Tsukasa..."

Oh shit, she's gonna change the subject to him!

"..Have you seen him anywhere? Or at least heard from him?"

"I... I, uh..." Nene began to stutter, thinking up excuses that made sense and shoved the blame away from her.

Before Nene could finish her justification, Rui walked into the room, only wearing a towel around his waist, holding a small one in his hand as he viciously tried to dry his hair. He greeted Emu with a gentle smile, "Hello Emu. You good?"

"Yeah, thanks for asking, Rui!" She simply smiled back at him.

"Did you take a shower?" It was a dumb question to ask, but she still asked it anyway.

"I thought I might as well," he answered her query, "There's no point in washing your face and leaving showering for later."

Emu pondered her last question to Rui as she turned to rely on his answer, "Have you seen Tsukasa? I haven't seen him almost all day, except for the morning..."

Rui's mouth opened itself unwittingly at the question, dumbfounded for even a few words to come out. He looked to Nene, hoping her eyes would give him a clue as to what to say. However, to no avail, she gave him the most frantic expression he had seen from her in his life. There was no point in lying, Emu'd eventually find Tsukasa either way. "Look, Emu... I took Tsukasa drinking and..."

"He drank alcohol?!"

Rui and Nene both in sync flinched at her words. They were said in an unusually panicky demeanour, contrary to her usually soft and gentle voice. They felt their joints relax as Emu added, "It must've been so funny to see him drunk!"

"Look, I thought that too, but he started drinking so much that he got so heavily drunk, he wouldn't let go of another glass. I ended up calling a cab and spending a shit ton of money since he drank so much, and brought him home, here. He's here right now, and me and Nene did the best we could to sober him up and-"

Rui was cut off when Emu hopped to hug the couple, telling them under her breath, "Thank you so much for taking care of him." Nene could partially hear a smile in her voice as she softly spoke. She retracted from the hug to ask, "Where is he? I wanna see him."

"In the living room," Nene directed as she pointed and walked over to the room Tsukasa lay on the couch in.

Emu stepped towards him, ruffling his hair as she planted a kiss on his cheek and whispered to him gently, "There you are, my star."

Her voice was like silky milk as she spoke to him, it made Nene's heart melt a little. Emu was so pure, she had no idea what Tsukasa was like drunk. Not even a tiny bit.

"Morning..." Tsukasa called back to Emu as he yawned midway through speaking.

"Why'd you drink so much, Tsukasa?" She was gving him a judgmental yet sweet look, to reassure him that she was only half serious.

"It was yummyyyyyyy..." he easily replied.

"Can't blame him on that," Rui shook his head as he spoke to emphasise his point.

"Tsukasa seems to have sobered up, so I suppose it's safe to let him sleep now, right?" Nene offered, shrugging her shoulders after she spoke.

"Yeah, let's," agreed Emu, nodding her head, and lifting up Tsukasa bridal style, much like Rui had earlier. She walked over to Rui and Nene's room but stopped when she realised what she was doing. "Where should I leave him to sleep? I can't just leave him in your room."

"I guess we could leave him on the couch," Rui guessed, to which Emu nodded.

"Yeah, he'll be better off," she said as she lightly dropped him onto the couch, then whispered in her lover's ear,  "Love you, goodnight..."

-

"Urghhhhh..."

Tsukasa brung himself to get off his back, a major headache ringing in the back of his mind. God, what happened last night?, he wondered to himself. He looked up to the wall, where on a dandy little clock, the time read 7:38.

"You're finally up," a sweet voice called to him. It was Emu, and she immediately got her arms and wrapped them around his neck.

"Emu?" He knew it was her, but Tsukasa felt very behind in the morning already. His joints ached each time he tried his best to move them even in the slightest bit, and he was craving a drink.

He then looked down under his blanket, as he felt strangely cold since he got up. "Emu..." he began, "..Where are my pants?"

"Huh?" his girlfriend asked, to which he tossed the blanket to one side, revealing him in just his underwear. "Where the hell are they? I swear you had them on when you got to sleep."

She then looked over her shoulder to see his pants on a chair, furrowing her brows at them. "How did they get there?"

"I don't want to know..." Tsukasa replied solemnly. "Did Nene and Rui tell you what happened yesterday?"

"Yup."

"Shit."

Tsukasa turned his face in pure disappointment in himself, embarrassed at what he did yesterday.

"Look, I'm not mad or anything, you were drunk and weren't yourself," she reassured him, planting a chaste kiss on his lips. "Also, you owe me those kisses back. Everything has a cost~!" She teased him, gently pressing her finger on his nose.

"Fine." He then suggested, "Later though."
