Leo Valdez was the most beautiful boy in existence. That’s what Jason believed anyways as he laid on their couch and watched him walk around the kitchen cooking.
He watched as he moved the cutting board from one side of the kitchen sink to the other, from one side to the other, from one side to the other, from one side- its the same thing again, again and again
“What are you doing?”
Leo’s dark amber eyes looked up from the sink and met Jason’s lightning blue ones. For a second Jason forgot everything, Leo’s amber eyes were beautiful, they looked like a warm fire was set behind them luring him to walk over to Leo and kiss him on the lips every time they met eyes.
“Jason?,” Leo asked, snapping Jason out of it.
“Sorry what?”
“I said in trying to find the spot I was at.,” Leo said casually as if everyone did that and didn’t just find a new spot to put their cutting board.
Jason knew how Leo was so it didn’t confuse him, but when Leo was brief, vague, silent, or just odd Jason understood him.
Leo was also autistic, so much so that people get concerned about his well-being. Jason knew there was nothing to actually worry about since Leo was; well Leo.
Jason loved him so much and never wanted to leave him alone ever again.
Now- you're probably asking: What does he mean ‘Ever Again’?
Jason died and left Leo alone.
Well not recently, he was 17. He was almost 23 now. So 6 years, it’s been six years.
Jason had been stabbed again, yes again he survived the first time but not the second time.
He had promised Leo he’d come back after his quest, and he was determined too after they had been separated for almost a whole year. But he died.
Then it was 8 months before he could come back to life and see Leo again.
And it was all right after Leo died and was too good of a person and helped a girl who was using him.
It was a tough 2 years but right after they were reunited they could only agree on one thing and that was to never get separated again.
And they haven’t broken it once. They’ve never once gone away without the other knowing or the other going.
Not much later they started dating.
Jason smiled at the thoughts, after so much hardship they were together almost for 5 years, and not once broke the promise.
“You’re smiling at me like you’re going to stab me.,” Leo’s voice came, making Jason look up and see Leo smiling at him with his beautiful grin.
Jason stared and stared.,” I- I-,” He stuttered helplessly trying not to admit what he was thinking about.,” I- your hair is up!”
“Yeah I’m cooking, that’s kinda what I do with my hair when I cook.,” Leo smiled, raising his eyebrows at Jason sarcastically, before rolling his eyes, turning down the stove and walking over to Jason.,” Is so sad!”
“What is?,” Jason asked looking up at his boyfriend who was sitting on his lap staring down at him now.
“That you didn’t notice my beautiful hair pulled back yet!,” Leo laughed smiling down at Jason before pulling him in by the chin and kissing him quickly.,” Hm you don’t deserve my utter beauty!”
“I don’t?!,” Jason gasped at his boyfriend’s antics as he put a hand on his chest accusingly.
“No!”
“Oh! I’m so sorry! I love you so much it hurts!,” Jason yelled as he wrapped his arms around Leo’s waist and pulled his closer.
“Oh well I guess I can accept this apology.,” Leo shrugged before a wicked grin spread on his lips.,” Only if you kiss me.”
“Hm-,” Jason hummed scrunching up his face jokingly.,” Eh I don’t know about that. A kiss?”
Leo smacked Jason on the chest before standing up and walking into the kitchen still keeping up the act, making Jason laugh.
“Laughing at me sir?!,” Leo asked, suddenly pulling out a British accent, making Jason laugh harder.,” How thou be so disrespectful to thee?!”
“I’m- I’m- im so sorry-,” Jason wheezed out. He shook slightly before getting on one knee and taking Leo’s hand in his.,” I would never think of ever laughing at such a beautiful man such as yourself. You’re amazing and I would marry you in an instant.,” Jason said the last sentence punctuating it with a kiss on the hand. When Jason looked back up from Leo’s hand all he saw was a tomato staring back.
Leo being red was saying something, from his natural skin color was dark, anytime Jason saw him red he couldn’t help but feel accomplished.
“I- is what you were saying true?,” Leo whispered, staring at his boyfriend who was on one knee in front of him.
“Every word.,” Jason whispered back smiling at Leo before standing up.,” I’ll be right back!”
Jason couldn’t stop himself from smiling as he jogged to their bedroom and got into his dresser drawer and pulled out a small red velvet box, Leo’s favorite color, and tan back out to the breaking of the living room and kitchen.
When he stood in front of Leo he had hasty breaths and held the box behind him.
“Leonidas Valdez, you make me so happy all the time and I want to be with you forever till the day I die, and I never ever want us to be apart.,” Jason said as he got back down on his knee.,” We can make it forever if you say yes.,” He smiled as he pulled the box from his back and showed it to Leo who was in tears in front of him.
“Yes!,” Leo yelled, falling to his knees and wrapping his arms around Jason.,” How long have you been meaning to ask?”
“A while!,” Jason giggled, as Leo let go of his neck and he put the silver ring with a small ruby in the center with 4 smaller rubys placed around it onto Leo’s ring finger.,” I was planning to ask over a fancy dinner after a day of all the things you love, but I thought now would be better!”
“I love you.”, Leo smiled while looking at the ring on his finger before wrapping his arms back around Jason's neck to kiss him.
“I love you too, your the best boy- huh guess I can’t say boyfriend anymore.,” Jason laughed lightly after he broke the kiss with Leo,” I guess I’m supposed to call you my beautiful fiancé now?”
“Yeah I think so!,” Leo laughed, kissing him again before resting his head on Jason’s and letting them stay there for a few seconds.
“Can we stand up now?,” Jason asked laughing,” I’m about to topple over, being on one knee for so long is difficult.”
“Haha! Yeah!,” Leo giggled as he got up off his knees and pulled Jason up before they heard the fire alarm.
Hearing the fire alarm wasn’t out of the ordinary for them, especially when Leo was embarrassed or super happy because his nose or ears would catch on fire (thanks Hephaestus for giving him that power) and cause them to go off. But this time it wasn’t him it was-
“My food!,” Leo yelled as he ran over and put it out with a small flick of his hand.,” Ugh! There goes our dinner!”
“It’s ok sweetheart,” Jason smiled kissing Leo on the head as he reached up and pressed the button on the fire alarm.,” We can order out, it’s a special event!”
“Well yeah but what places are still open at 11?,” Leo asked, looking at Jason.
“McDonald’s?,” Jason smiled, making Leo stare at him.
“Fine McDonald’s it is.,” Leo sighed after almost 2 minutes of staring at Jason in silence.
“You’re cleaning the kitchen though!,” Jason smiled as he ran to the living room and grabbed his phone to order, already knowing what his fiancé wanted.
“Asshole!”
