Nick looks at his children playing in the snow. He looks at Diana, and he wishes she were his biological child. He wishes he had done a lot of things differently.
Adalind is making hot chocolate. She puts it into cups and walks outside. Her kids and husband are involved in a snowball fight. Kelly sees her, and she puts a finger on her lips. She picks up some snow, makes a ball and throws it at Nick. She hits him on the back, and he turns around and looks at her, stunned. He picks up some snow and retaliates. Soon, they are all covered in snow and laughing. Diana lies down and makes a snow angel. Her brother copies her. Nick shrugs his shoulders and lies down next to her. Adalind rolls her eyes but joins in.
Nick chuckles. Adaling is trying to get up, but it’s difficult with her eight-month pregnant belly. He takes pity on his wife and pulls her up. He kisses her nose and wipes off the snow from her coat. They sit down on the porch and drink their beverages. He kisses the top of her head. He wishes he could go back and change things. He would end things with Juliette sooner, and he would tell Hank and Wu sooner. And he would marry Addi sooner. He knows Adalind wishes she could change things, too. She would never get involved with Sean, she wouldn’t try to kill his aunt and more.
It took a lot of pain and heartache to get here, but they are finally happy. They just both wish they could have had this sooner. They head back inside, Monroe, Rosalee, and the triplets will be over in two hours to celebrate Christmas Eve.
