Chapter Text
Magnus opened his eyes groggily and stretched sitting up in his and Alec’s bed. He yawned and smiled as he took in the beautiful scene before him. Alec was sleeping peacefully and making those adorable snores he oh so loved hearing. He was sleeping on his stomach with one arm under the pillow hugging it tight and the other stretched out in Magnus’s direction feeling around for the warmth of Magnus.
Magnus smiled as he gently held Alec’s searching hand on the bed kissing it softly. Alec made a relieved huffing noise as he felt Magnus’s skin against his own, even smiling a little bit while he slept.
Happy with this reaction Magnus finally got up slowly from the bed and went to take a refreshing shower to start the day before having breakfast with his darling.
Meanwhile Alec was having a wonderful dream specially about Magnus. He imagined Magnus on top of him doing some very naughty things which made him smile in reality.
Magnus finally finished his shower, dried his hair and got dressed ready for the day. Magnus opened the door to find Alec still smiling like he saw before, but only for a different reason. Magnus grinned as well as he went over and sat next to Alec’s sleeping figure, holding his hand once more.
But Magnus was not expecting was for Alec to mumble “Mmmmm…Mags…”
Magnus had to cover his mouth because otherwise he would have woken Alec up with his laughter. Now that was something Magnus did not expect on a Tuesday morning.
Magnus looked at the clock near their bed and decided that if Alec wasn’t going to wake up now he would be late for duty at the Institute. So, against all urges in Magnus’s body he had to wake up Alec.
Magnus leaned over close to Alec’s face and kissed his cheek firmly but not hard whispering softly “Alexander darling it’s time to wake up…otherwise you’ll be late to the Institute.”
At the sound of Magnus’s voice and the kiss to the cheek Alec slowly woke up yawning, smiling as he focused on Magnus’s smiling beautiful face.
Alec sat up groggily and whispered smiling “M-morning Mags.”
“Good morning dear.” Magnus replied as he kissed Alec’s cheek once again making him blush a little bit.
“You still blush after one year of dating darling?” Magnus asked mischievously as he turned Alec’s face towards him with one finger making him look at him, which in short make Alec blush even more.
“W-well yeah…unfortunately…now s-stop teasing me and l-let me get ready…please.” Alec bashfully whispered as he blushed more and turned away with a nervous smile on his face.
Magnus chuckled as he let go of Alec’s face letting him get up from the bed without blushing like a tomato.
Alec got up quickly still blushing not leaving anymore time for Magnus to flirt with him or make him blush…or both. He quickly grabbed the clothes he was going to wear today and headed to the bathroom shaking his head lightly to get try get rid of the blush. He quickly went into the bathroom looking back into the bedroom one last time before having a shower and saw Magnus look up at him and blow him a kiss winking, making him blush again and slam the door closed.
Magnus chuckled as he saw how his mission to get Alec to blush in the morning was a success.
Alec shook his head violently getting rid of the blush and dumping his clothes near the sink ready for him to get dressed once he had a refreshing shower. Alec turned on the shower and quickly got un-dressed, stepping into the shower and relaxing.
Alec silently got out of the shower finally waking up after Magnus’s success on making him blush. He dried his body and hair with a white, fluffy towel making him smile a bit from the feel of it. He put on his clothes and left the bedroom with Magnus now reading a book still sitting on the bed with a slight smile on his face.
Curiosity got the better of Alec as he asked Magnus “What’s got you smiling? Is it a good book you’re reading?”
Magnus looked up and gently closed the book putting it back on the drawer next to the bed and replied “No, I was just thinking about you dear…”
Alec blushed and turned away nervously running his fingers through his hair while Magnus winked at him with a Cheshire cat grin on his face.
“What do you mean y-you were thinking a-about me? W-what was I d-doing?” Alec asked nervously not really wanting the answer but once again curiosity got the better of him.
“Well darling, while my brain was restarting from my beauty sleep I held you’re hand because you were reaching for me in your sleep. But that is not all darling dear…I do believe you dreaming about me. Now, what was I doing in your dream?” Magnus cheekily asked as he winked and smiled wide watching Alec blush as red as a tomato.
Alec stuttered for several seconds noticing that he was caught red handed and couldn’t lie to this beautiful man. He was bad at lying anyway and Magnus is an expert about seeing through his lies. Alec physically stepped back while blushing and stuttering even more now, feeling like he might just pass out from embarrassment right there and then.
Magnus started to get worried as Alec didn’t stop having almost a nervous breakdown and whispered gently as he walked over and held Alec’s hand softly “Darling are you alright? I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable, you don’t have to answer me question I was just curious.”
Alec managed to stutter out “N-no sorry I-I was ju-ust surprised…I can answer i-it.” Alec took a deep breathe and said “I w-was dreaming about y-you in a g-great position…lets j-just say th-hat…” At the end of the sentence Alec had to hold himself up on the cupboard nearby so the world would stop spinning and was a human embodiment of red paint.
Magnus laughed softly and kissed Alec’s red cheek and said mischievously “Well, I must say that sounds like a wonderful dream dear.” He gently and slowly cupped Alec’s cheek making him look at his cat eyes that have appeared and added “Maybe we could show me how the position was tonight darling hm?”
Alec only had the energy to make a little mouse squeak before adding replying quickly “M-maybe…anyways w-we have t-to get going to the i-“
But before he could finish his sentence his phone vibrated signalling a call. Alec shook off his blush as fast as he could and quickly grabbed it answering it.
“Hey Alec we need yours and Magnus’s help quick!” Izzy said loudly into the phone.
“Hello? Izzy? What’s going on?” Alec replied worried about Izzy’s panicked tone.
“We’ve got dozens of demons near the Institute! Me and Jace are taking care of it but there’s some going into the city destroying buildings, there’s too many to handle we need your help!” Izzy grunted out as she sliced another demon with her whip making it scream in pain.
“A-alright Magnus and I will be right down there!” Alec replied and hung up the phone.
“Looks like we’ve got a situation to handle Magnus.” Alec said as he gently let go of Magnus hand and grabbed his bow and quiver.
Magnus nodded smiling as they both left their loft together confident that they would win the fight together…although little did they know that their worst nightmare would only start…
