Queen Moon Shadow sat peacefully within the exquisite summerhouse. She inhaled the sweet fragrance of dragon nip tea. "Aww, this is heavenly," as she calmly sipped it.
"I beg your pardon, my Queen. I'd say that my mother-in-law's tea is more heavenly. But, of course, since she's the Queen of the Heavens," expressed a gorgeous auburn-haired young female in a bluish-green silk gown.
"Oh, Princess Mims. So nice that you could join me for tea. Where is Queen Valka? Has she not arrived yet?" the Draco Being monarch inquired curiously.
"I apologize, Queen Moon Shadow, for being slightly late for this week's tea party. Unfortunately, I had to take Cloudjumper to the vet for some minor dental work," a second captivating auburn-haired woman called out.
The female monarch gazed at the tall, captivating female. She wore a breathtaking soft lavender gown with a stunning jeweled tiara on her head. "Well, since both of you have to traverse between worlds, being a tad tardy is expected," the humanoid dragon ruler conceded.
"Yes, it is to be anticipated. First, however, let's all have some tea," Queen Valka suggested, to which the Night Fury queen regnant nodded. Next, she poured her fellow nobles some soothing dragon nip tea. Next, Princess Mims offered a platter of snacks she'd made for everyone. Finally, Queen Valka placed a bouquet of lilies named after her in the crystal centerpiece.
"Hmm, this is such a charming location. But, alas, if only my husband, I could get some more alone time," Queen Moon Shadow remarked sadly. Their intimate breakfast was over a month ago. So they hadn't any alone time since then.
"I understand what its like to yearn for some alone time with your husband. But, unfortunately, Aaron has been so distracted these past few weeks. Ever since he and his family reconciled, he's been occupied.
My father-in-law, White King, is trying to make up for a millennium separated from his son. Not to mention assisting my husband in relearning how to be the succeeding Heavenly King."
"My husband, Stoick, has his own difficulties as the year draws to a close. Despite Dragon City being an independent nation from the surrounding country? We're dreading what's to come Sunday."
"Time passes differently between all three of our domains. I doubt we'll ever achieve an ideal way to track it accurately. I'm afraid Toothless hasn't had it painless either," the silver-eyed, crowned head acknowledged.
"What's amiss with the Dragon Kingdom's King?" Princess Mims politely questioned.
Queen Moon Shadow sipped her tea before answering."The usual, Princess Mims. We're still struggling to unify humans and Draco Beings. Plus, rebuilding alliances with outside clans.
We're also seeking to understand more about the natural wonders around us. We don't want to disturb the environment more than it has been from centuries of senseless war.
We don't desire anything in our domain to end up on an endangered species list," the raven-haired Queen answered. Queen Moon Shadow passed around the platter of cupcakes. Everyone took two and calmly ate one.
Then Queen Valka resumed the conversation."We've countless plants and creatures on Earth who are on such a list. I wish the rest of humanity would wake up before its too late."
"Even in the Realm of the Eternal Sun? We still face the same issues of things being put on an endangered list. Silver Queen has been in a stir lately, attempting to rescue several species of butterflies.
Plus, numerous hybrid plants that these particular butterflies help thrive. Without either of those two? We'd forfeit several invaluable healing remedies," Princess Mims reported to her fellow royals.
"I'll never understand why we are given a beautiful world to live in if all humanity does is try to destroy it. Or at least several souls would rather annihilate their world then protect it. But, we will only get one world to call home. So we should take care of it. Not quicken the pace to end it," Queen Valka stated while wiping the frosting off her lips.
"I strongly believe we must unite our worlds. Only by becoming truly harmonious can any of our realms hope to live past the Apocalypse," Queen Moon Shadow said. The Dragon Kingdom ruler was redoing her braided pigtails. They had unfortunately come undone due to stress.
"What I'd like to know is how is everyone's children doing?" Queen Valka threw out the question. But, of course, they're all married with children. Plus, it always felt good to talk to another mother for advice.
"Well, Morning Star is as bright as a star. She's curious about everything and enthusiastic about learning more about the world around her. Also, she learned from her father how to control her celestial abilities."
"I'm sure her share of the holy capabilities will significantly differ from her grandparents. Seeing how she's half-human. Not that there anything wrong with that, Princess Mims."
"I know neither you nor Queen Valka is racist, Queen Moon Shadow. So do not fear offending me. We all know our children are different from their peers."
"My children are significantly different as well, Princess Mims. They were blessed by the gods, along with having dragon souls. Plus, they've to deal with their mental health issues. So indeed, my children are unique," Valka confessed regarding her three children.
"Sometimes I wonder how I've not dropped dead from wrangling ten children. They're full of unlimited energy and, like most young children? They have a particular knack for shenanigans."
"Have they achieved their unique capabilities yet?" the Heavenly Princess inquired curiously.
"They're gradually learning as they mature concerning their unique abilities. Thankful for now. We're getting a lull in that. We've had enough stress that we don't need them to knock out any more walls," shuddered Queen Moon Shadow.
"Same with my children, I'm afraid. Hiccup's powers are connected to the body. Boden's the heart, and Una's the soul. They're truly at their best together. Not many siblings have such an unbreakable bond."
"I hope its conceivable for my daughter, Morning Star, to discover the unbreakable bonds of friendship," Mims mused hopefully.
"Well, we're all kin to one another. Therefore, we have an unbreakable bond between us. Moreover, our families are united. Would either of you like to see the new garden sculptures?" Queen Moon Shadow asked, to which the other royals nodded. Satisfied, the three regal ladies left their quaint tea party to tour the enchanted gardens.
