Cookies
"NATSU!" Lucy screamed out, holding a plate of cookies burned to the point of resembling coal more than cookies. The black smoke and smell of burnt gingerbread permeated throughout Lucy and Natsu's shared apartment. Natsu jumped at not only the sound of his fiancé practically screeching but the burnt smell arriving at his sensitive nose.
"Uh…yes, Lucy?"
"WHY ARE THE COOKIES I WAS TRYING TO MAKE COMPLETELY BURNED!?"
"The oven was slow, and I was hungry," Natsu tried to explain, scratching the back of his head in nervousness. Not much scared Natsu Dragneel, as not only was he left to raise by himself for years of his life, but he was also raised by a dragon, which allowed Natsu to train how to fight and use powerful magic. However, one thing that did shake him to his core was making his fiancé, Lucy Heartfilia, angry. While Natsu didn't think much of the Celestial Spirit at first, Natsu grew to love everything about the currently angry blonde, from her dark chocolate brown eyes to her perfectly shaped thighs. However, Natsu didn't have much time to think of his fiancé's assets as said fiancé smacked the back of his head.
"Don't go staring at me right now, Natsu! I am not in the mood right now, especially since the only thing I can smell are the cookies you burned!" Lucy continued yelling out, causing Natsu to wince, as his sensitive dragon ears caught every word his fiancé yelled out. Lucy took notice of the wince, sighed, and took a couple of deep breaths before reaching into her pocket, and taking out a few hundred jewels from her wallet.
"Here's some money. You're going to the market and buying some Gingerbread cookies. And if I see that you ate so much as one cookie before you get back home, you'll be sleeping on the couch for the rest of the week," Lucy explained. Natsu sighed and nodded, reaching out for the money. Once he put the money in his pocket, Natsu walked over to Lucy and stroked her cheek, which Lucy didn't fight despite her annoyance with the pink-haired annoyance.
"Can I get a goodbye kiss before I go?" Natsu asked his smile a hopeful one.
"You're only going to be gone for half an hour," Lucy stated back, her eyes blank, trying to ignore the burning feeling her cheeks were going through from Natsu's touch.
"Please?" Lucy sighed, knowing that it was hard to say 'no' to Natsu when he got all beady-eyed. Lucy kissed Natsu on the cheek, which Natsu quickly took advantage of by turning his face around, and kissing Lucy with his lips. Lucy looked shocked, but rather than turn away, Lucy wrapped her arms around Natsu, and kissed him for a solid minute, with the two only separating because of the need for oxygen.
"I'll be back with the best Gingerbread cookies you've ever tasted!" Natsu exclaimed before barreling out the door, which Lucy couldn't help but giggle at. Lucy walked back into the kitchen, and as she was sliding the burnt cookies into the trash can, any annoyance she felt at Natsu had already dissipated. Natsu really had the gift of making her forget about all the negative feelings and replace them with nothing but warmth and happiness. It's completely cliché, but it was just how Lucy felt, and she would not have it any other way.
